Matt and his crew (Robert) are great! I highly recommend this business for any boat repair and/or after market work. They do quality work and stand behind everything they do.

Always so professional. Boat never so good. Finally a mechanic team thats knows how to repair motors.

I would not recommend them. I purchased a new engine from them. It was supposed to be run and tested fully assembled. It was delivered 6 months late. It was defective. They kept blaming poor performance on various parts fuel, injectors, ignition etc. All these things I already paid them to test in shop. I spent thousands chasing ghosts, then would not return my calls. I frequently had drive there to try and catch the owner Matt. The engine finally had a catastrophic failure. At the end they gave me used engine as replacement for the new defective one they built. Also they help me with the 2nd swap of the engine. Im a business person, I understand things go wrong, but the way M&M handles things when they do is completely unprofessional.

Matt and the crew M&M Marine helped us out in a pinch / squeezed us in for what we were hoping was a relatively small repair. We were having power issues after installing brand new batteries and were assuming our alternator was bad. While they agreed that probably was the case, they were trustworthy enough to diagnose the situation and actually find the problem elsewhere in the isolator.Really appreciate that they did their job in finding an issue rather than just assuming the problem and doing a hack fix. We had an excellent day out with no problems just days later! There arent too many inboard/mercruiser mechanics in the OC area and Im glad we went here and had them work on our boat.Take the reviews here with a grain of salt and give them a chance like we did. We will definitely be back and highly recommend their service!

Not sure about their services. The secretary is very nice and follows through. Getting a return call from a tech seems to be an impossible task. As a business owner for 40 years, I understand being very busy but I was never yo busy to followup a phone call to a customer that requested a tech callback for 3 weeks and never received one . . . .

AVOID! As others have said, they do work you didnt ask for and then try to charge you for things you never agreed to.Disassembled the sterndrive without asking then tried to charge us to put it together and when we refused they gave it to us in pieces in a box. The estimate was to essentially replace the entire engine when the problem was the gear lever. We decided to do it elsewhere.Im a co-owner of a boat so my name wont show up in their system but thats a weak attempt to deflect. Why would we all randomly choose say the same thing about a place? Maybe change your business practices.Edit: I think most people would agree that $600 inspection fee without prior explicit consent from the customer is not acceptable. But its a free country, people can discover the facts and decide for themselves.

I just purchased a new (to me) boat in San Diego and needed it delivered here to HB.Matt drove down, arrived on time, waited patiently for the broker who was an hour late, then dropped it in the water for me 50 yards away from where I keep it now.Matts price was fair and he was easy to reach and a great sport about accommodating my schedule.Hell be helping me with some bottom paint soon. 5 stars. M & M marine was truly a pleasure to work with. They worked with me on keeping to a budget and just fixed what I couldnt. The technicians did impeccable work fabricating and installing a new cabin door. Additionally they installed a new VHF antenna and revived my engine after 3 years of storage. The entire staff is friendly and laid back. But they Really know boats and they wont pressure you into service or add-ons.Very Affordable compared to sunset aquatic shipyard. They wanted $1800 for cabin door which M&M did for $700 !I wish Id called M&M first instead of wasting my time calling all others !!!!This is a real review and person

I cannot say enough good things about Matt and M&M Marine. He took my boat on a moments notice and fixed everything I asked him to. He noticed a few other items that needed attention and asked me before taking matters into his own hands. He communicated with me every step of the way until the day I picked up my boat. I wish more businesses operated like M&M Marine. Ill be back for sure.

Honest good quality work and clean had Matt and crew replace a impeller, outdrive service and check over condition quick turnaround

This place is a joke. Take your boat somewhere else. Charge you for work you did not agree too.

Matt at M&Marine is a class act. Like my own business, his company runs on integrity and honesty. He helped me make decisions about my boat based on its actual needs vs. What I thought I wanted. He saved me over $1,000 from what I went in to spend. His thorough service and quality work was unsurpassed from what I expected from a shop that works on 500k boats while my boat was entry level. He spent considerable time before and after making sure I understood everything done and how to use it. They saved all my old parts and gave me a full review of the service I had them do while the boat was in. I highly recommend them for any marine need.

Matt is a great guy and has a great operation going on there. High quality of workmanship and very professional. The work preformed on our boat was excellent and we will return in the future.

They Bill for work that I did not approve. Classic shotty mechanic that wants to sell boats, rather than work on them. Just read the other reviews.

Do not bring your boat here. They do not communicate with their customers well at all.They will charge you money for things you do not need because they lack the knowledge to properly diagnose problems. They had my boat for months and finally had another shop fix it. They even charged me for repairs that mercury marine fixed at no charge. While my boat was there I also had a few items of mine taken.

Matt ensured my boat is running better than it was new. Boat has had many mechanics abuse her. Now she runs perfect!
