THEY ARE VERY DISHONEST. Went in for an oil change and said I needed new brakes which were a month old and then told me my rear struts were leaking. I took it to my mechanic and he couldn’t find a leak.

Dont trust these guys. I bought a vehicle from my grandmother who had her vehicles worked on at great bear. I knew it needed suspension work and decided to take out the air ride and do a four corner conversion only to find out that the brilliant ass monkeys at great bear put the front upper control arms on the wrong sides when they are clearly stamped L 4x4 and R 4x4, so today I had to spend money on new arms new links ect because of the damage caused by their stupidity. HIRE REAL MECHANICS WHO CAN READ AND UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RIGHT AND LEFT. THEY ARE LUCKY IT DIDNT CATASTROPHICALLY FAIL DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD .

Not that they need good reviews... good service and word-of-mouth in the community for so many years. Very nice people very affordable and very efficient.

Honest. Went in for a standard oil change and check on my tires.

Scheduled Saturday service on a Wed. They asked me if I could drop my car off Fri afternoon so they could have it ready Sat. I arrive Fri afternoon and they say they cant perform the service we agreed upon any longer and attribute it to personnel issues (fired Dave who booked my appt). Im driving 1500 miles this upcoming week and needed my oil + break pads changed and tires rotated...not a complicated job. Show some respect and notify your customers of problems ahead of time.

Went to these guys at the reccomendation of AAA because they said they were the most honest guys around and I would agree. I was in town for a couple days visiting some family and of course had car problems. They were able to tell me what was wrong and didnt charge me for all the time spent taking apart my engine. Although I decided to not have my car fixed there due to time constraints, Dave offered to search Southern California for the part.

I have to comment, they charged me $70 for diagnostic and didnt even clear the codes. Then they wanted to check further and asked they asked for another $200 just for diagnostic. I called a mechanic I found on Craigs list and he found an electrical problem that was the cause of all my problems. Then he cleared the fault codes for free; total for repairs were $200
