Overall great experience. Called them for the first time, drove right over and they inspected the car upon arrival. Had a ticking sound coming from under the hood near the alternator. They had it repaired the next day. I don’t have too many car problems but price seemed pretty standard to get the alternator replaced. Thanks Rick!

These guys were great! I went in with a busted A/C and cracked tires. They were very honest and transparent. After inspecting my car, Rick took the time to walk me through everything I wanted to know and clearly laid out the best options. Service was done within a day. Definitely would go back if I need work done in the future

Just asked to correct receipt because didn’t give proper details what was done and Rick went crazy on me. I was going for few years. Even though sometimes prices weren’t best still came back. I have only done a few reviews in my life and this place and Rick Gonzalez deserve it! I have been having car problems for the past 4 or 5 months. Ive spent about 1000 dollars trying to get it fixed. The last place I went to fixed the sound, but it came back a couples months later even worse. Instead of going back to that place I randomly selected Auto repair express. Rick helped calm my nerves and was extremely nice and funny. He brought me out to my car and explained to my confused face what he believes it is while showing me in person. When he found the problem he showed me immediately and was able to fix it the same day. He gave me honest prices and called my dad to explain everything, since I didnt understand most of what needed to be done. This review is long enough, but I could go on. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially those who dont know much about cars. Thank you again!!

I went there for an Oil Change and Tire Rotation for my first time and had a great experience. Rick, the Owner is very professional, real, and to the point with the services. I didnt feel at all like I was being taken advantage of because I was a girl, like most places have made me feel. Took my 2010 Mustang to the dealer and two other mechanics to get the air conditioning fixed. Was told they needed to replace canisters, air conditioning filters, a new compressor, recharge the system etc.. They also did a multi point Free inspection that would have bumped up the bill by major $$$$. After some serious damage to my credit card I was still sweating in the heat.Enter Rick and his team. Rick and I had the same MOS and I knew right away that I could trust a fellow veteran to do the job right.He literally removed the entire dashboard to trace down the problem. Rick found that the original grungy cabin filter had never been replaced. There was also a broken actuator buried behind the dash that had never been touched by the other shops. Rick also traced down a leak in the core of the AC system behind the dash that was slowly emptying refrigerant into the car to be inhaled by myself and my family.Rick and his team did an exceptional and truly professional job of repairing my car. Came into this location from a flyer I received and needed an oil change before a big over landing trip in my Jeep. Theyll give you an estimate so that you can budget. I have a couple of old cars with high mileage that need a little extra work in their old age. The cars, not Albert or Rick.

This is the best mechanic Ive been to. Ive been coming here for almost 3 years. I use to go to the chain stores, but they were over charging me and took advantage of the fact that I know nothing about cars. Rick was so helpful. The guys at Auto Repair Express are simply TOP NOTCH! I moved to Huntington Beach about a year ago and had been using my old mechanic for the past 20 years, so I was not looking forward to finding a new one. I got lucky on my first shot. Rick and Albert were just straight forward honest with what needed to be done and how much it would be.I dont review much because I feel it takes a few visits to really get the feel for a place and since my first visit, I have been back to have regular service and oil changes done, every time the price, work and service have been impeccable.

He gave me some great advice on my car while his employees completed one of the quickest oil changes that Ive ever witnessed. Rick and Albert are the most honest and hard working mechanics i have come across. I have been to other mechanics that cant do a simple oil change correctly let alone trust them to work on my car for other things. Ive gone to these guys for the past 5 years with multiple services including something as complicated from an Engine Swap all the way to super simple things like oil changes and brakes and rotors. They give honest pricing and their knowledge is seriously unbeatable. I trust these guys and this company with my life and my cars life. I have built a great relationship with them and so have my cars. I understand it can be tricky to try out new mechanics because in all honesty a lot of theae people try and scam you out of a few dollars because we do not specialize in cars.. but not these guys. I have been taking my car to the guys at Auto Repair Express for a few years now. Rick and Albert are the best! I have a 1993 Jeep Cherokee and it is a ticking time bomb of problems waiting to happen. Every time I take my car in for an oil change or any service the guys there always shoot me straight and tell me what needs to be fixed now or what could possibly wait. So lucky to have found this spot while driving down Gothard! My 04 Corolla was in bad need of an oil change and replacement brake pads....Went in and spoke with Rick who i think manages the shop and he made my life a breeze! Overall had an impression of honest professionalism that seems to be hard to find these days... Glad he had everything done quickly and professionally.I will definitely be back!!

Was having a rear break issue and needed it fixed fast. I called in and Rick answered and gave ball park pricing over the phone. I dropped my car off and its a good thing I did cause it was a lot worse than I thought. Rick called me a couple of times keeping me informed and updated on how things were going. He even offered me a ride back to work. Needless to say they were great and couldnt be happier.

I would stay far far away from this company. This company advertises in the penny saver but they DO NOT honor what they advertise. I took a coupon in for a synthetic oil change Mobil Full Synthetic 2012 Honda Odyssey. when I got the guy at the front desk said that my Odyssey took 7 quarts of oil which is total bull?*&%. He told me that so that he could pump my price from $44.95 to a smooth $79.95. Why should I pay for two more quarts of oil that dont even fit in the car. When I drove down the street to OMalleys for an oil change the guy laughed at me when I told him that the guy at Auto Repair Express told me that I had to put 7 quarts of oil in the car. Shame on Auto Repair Express and the guy at the front desk. It is repair centers like you that give the auto repair industry such a terrible name. Next time do the right thing and honor what you advertise. Not sure if you are aware but it is against the law to false advertise.
