I wanted to share my impressions I did an apointment a day in order to get on it at 1 oclock in the afternoon I was told that the car would be ready in 2 hours we were with the child and I warned them that I needed this car, which I was told she was still not ready I am very upset what is indifference and a terrible attitude I have to wait on the street with a child right at the door at this time these workers do nothing and still raise their voices at us I am very upset awful service

What a TOTAL rip off this place is! Went in to replace 2 tires and they TOOK my good ones… added extra charges I did not request nor was told about, took TWICE as long as was stated. Worst car establishment EVER. SCAMMERS.

I would like to acknowledge the exceptionally courteous and professional staff at this Pep Boys location. Waz, the service manager, went out of his way to take care of my automotive needs. In addition, he answered a wide range of general questions and really showed a passion for his job. He has also put together a great supporting crew. Saray, Ricardo, and Jose were the ones I personally met and they were all great. I definitely recommend this shop. Thanks again!

Great service shop and customer service. The repair service manager is always helpful and of great service.After having so much trouble with a previous small mechanic shop, I brought my 08 Honda Accord to replace the alternator to the pep boy shop.I was on the road before I knew it.

They put some new tires on my car, and They didn’t balance the wheels properly after installation, so now my steering wheel shakes violently while driving. They also managed to put a big gash In the barrel of my wheel, probably after dropping it on the brake caliper while removing it. Avoid this place and take your car to a real mechanic.

Update your hours on Google please.. My time was wasted racing over here after work just to be turned away at the door by workers closing up shop.

Scheduled an oil change and purchased some new tires here, they did a fantastic job on the install, and my car drives infinitely better. Ive had this car 5 years now, and I felt like I was driving it brand new again. Thanks to Jim and Ricardo for your help!

BEWARE!!! I just came from this store and the cashier (big) with black mustache is coughing all over WITHOUT COVERING HIS MOUTH (no mask either). Totally disgusting! Who has an employee like that working during a world pandemic. I walked out!

I didnt even get my car fixed. The employee I spoke to, Tim, was unfriendly and short. When I called to ask about a timeframe and a general price for the type of service I needed, he wouldnt say, basically it varies and well call you when we get to you. He seemed to be having a bad day or just didnt enjoy interacting with people. So many different ways he could have said the same message without making it seem like my inquiry was not wecome

I went to pepboys because my tire pressure light was on. They fixed the tire and the light was still blinking. They did not take the responsibility and said they are busy and asked me to come later. The shop was empty. The lady had time take all the details but not check the light which is an easy fix. They charged me again to fix the tire pressure light.

Worst customer service ever

I have been going to Pep Boys for the past five years for repair and maintenance ever since my service warranty on my 2012 BMW expired.They have consistently provided me dependable, reliable service.The service Managers are knowledgeable and professional.Service technicians are highly skilled.I recommend Pep Boys with no hesitation.

Save your money and time. I used a 30% discount coupon for an oil change, only to find out the technician cut corners and didnt replace the oil drain plug gasket, which allowed oil to leak on my garage floor for 5 days (I was hoping the problem would self-resolve. ). I asked the service manager, Jim Kuhlman why the gasket wasnt changed along with the oil and filter, and he told me sometimes we just clean it. I called the dealership where I bought my car (this was my first oil change) plus an independent mechanic for their input, and both said they would replace the oil drain plug gasket as a normal procedure with any oil change. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. Pep Boys is no longer my destination for auto service.

Fixed a slow leak in my tire. Hidden nail. Fast service. Knowledgeable people. And close by! Always good pricing. Im happy to get my service done here.

Huntington Beach, CA. Oct 23, 2019 - Had a nail, or something, in my right front tire. Decided it was also time for an oil change and replacement of wipers (winters coming). Had them check my battery and brakes just because the vehicle is now over 3 years old. Everything was completed within 2 hours as I sat at Starbucks down the street. Quite pleased overall. Ill be a returning customer in the future. Thanks!!!

Ordered tires on a Wednesday. Made appointment for installation on Saturday. Arrived very early. Took 3.5 hours for 4 tires. Turns out they only had 3 in stock. Would not recommend.

Always really nice people and great service. As a woman its sometimes hard to know if you are being ripped off or not. I have never felt ripped off or as if they were taking advantage. When they are unsure about something they let me know. I would highly recommend this store.

Although they did diagnose and fix the problem, the parts they charged me for were marked up by 250-300%, and I paid close to, if not over $100/hour for labor! Elsewhere, this could have been done for a LOT cheaper, for the same quality work and parts. If you like spending lots of money, come here!

Everything is expensive?

It is what it is. Except for less employees, less customers, lower quality parts and changes in technology, Pep Boys of today is just like 1983.I cant blame them on the parts. Consumers want cheaper, cheaper, cheaper. Why pay $20 once when you can pay $5 every few months? I do get tired of having to choose between really poor quality parts and high prices at the dealership, but Im not blaming them. They are a business and cant stock what doesnt move.As for the employees, they are nice enough and try to be helpful. Really not much has changed since 1983. This store never has women working there, which is odd. I dont think it is a corporate thing though because other stores have women workingMainly I just come back for the batteries, the Bosch batteries are not very durable but they had a good 9 year warranty. When Im here Ill get oil and filters, but I wont come just for that.They arent any worse than any other chain parts stores and they have a repair facility if that is what you need. The bad is that they arent any better than any other chain so I have no incentive to be as loyal as I was in the 80s.

I absolutely love shopping at this Pep Boys location. The staff are always friendly and extremely knowledgeable if you are dealing with Ed, Tony, Jesse or Cheryl. The prices are very competitive and you can get an even better deal if you preorder online. They will even call you to inform you your parts have been sold and are ready for pick up when you place your online order. Even though I now live on the other side of Huntington Beach I still coming to this location rather than going to the one Im closer to.

Been here 4 1/2hours for brakes n oil change..it shouldnt take that long..

Ive heard this isnt the greatest place for auto repair/service, but Ive had a couple oil changes here & it was pretty reasonable. However, the store has a lot of great automotive parts & accessories, so its a cool place to roam around in. However, you can often find products online much cheaper. I bought a bumper & parts for my instrument panel from online companies & saved a ton.

The phone rings and rings, when someone finally answers its the cashier who is busy and cant help me. Takes your number and no one calls back. Looks like they need some serious help. They must lose a lot of business due to this.

I have a prepaid maintenance plan and each time I’ve visited I received horrible customer service and extended wait times. I called during the week Wednesday to schedule an appointment and approval in advance for an oil change for Saturday. I drop the car and was told they needed to order the filter. I asked why it wasn’t ordered with the approval and was told that’s not how they process requests. 2 1/2 hours later I call to follow-up to find the filter hadn’t arrived yet. When conveying dissatisfaction about the duration and asked why no one has called to inform in case I wanted to reschedule, the response was “well I told you we had to order the part.” I reminded that my time is valuable and didn’t appreciate being hostage to Pep Boys on my one of few days off. The result is the work is still not done and it is now 1pm making it a complete 3 hours and the clock is still ticking. I called Hertz to cancel the plan and will not return for future work to less than effective Pep Boys. The manager Jim was flip and did not convey genuine customer service or care. In my opinion he’s useless and just does his job by checking a box. This has been a complete waste of my Saturday and Pep Boys could care less!!!! #noregard #pissedoffWhen I picked up my car 4 hours later, mind you this was a simple oil change, they didn’t reset the service light (simple task). When I let them know it took another 30 minutes. I finally had to let Josh know that If they didn’t know how to reset it to please say so because I’ve already spent more than enough time and it’s been a long day. He said quote “well it’s been a long day at work for me.” As though I’m supposed to care when he’s getting paid to provide a service. I was so taken aback by this horrible comment. It took 3 guys and they couldn’t do it. I finally said leave it, I’m cancelling my maintenance plan and will take it to Infiniti to have it reset. He very fliply said fine if that’s what you want to do. #worstserviceever

On emergency basis had to replace battery. It was Sunday afternoon and dealership was closed. Jim, Service Manager was very nice and accommodating. The battery was replaced without problems. Price was very reasonable. Thank you.

Changing my review to 1-star after realizing that ALL OF MY ENGINE COVER CLIPS ON THE RIGHT SIDE ARE MISSING. WHAT GIVES PEP BOYS? Everytime I accelerate past 50mph I can hear my engine cover flapping around. I know for a fact this wasnt an issue before servicing my car here.I just bought a replacement set from Amazon for $9.99 knowing Pep Boys aint gonna do jack about it. Screw yall!

My battery went bad after sitting for a month. So down to Pepboys for a new battery. They had the battery and I installed it very easilyPep boys is like the Radio Shack for car parts. I have been using Pep boys for a long time and they always are very helpful.

3 1/2 hours for an oil change even though I had a appointment. The free tire rotation would have costed 35 dollars to re-balance them even though I just bought them less than 6 months ago. After I declined that Danny the mechanic left my car on the racks and started working on another car costing me another 45 min. wait for no reason. Very unprofessionel.

Came to get an oil change, made an appointment and when I got here the prices from online were completely different, they where double. They would not honor prices and the service was not very friendly. When I asked them my since I dont have a special vehicle they could answer my question. They said they could work with that price and they had nothing do with the website. If I had a complaint, to contact corporate since it was their responsibility.

Brought my car Monday to check a slow leak in my right front tire. They said I needed an appointment so I set one up for Tuesday morning. They worked on the tire for an hour and told me that there was nothing wrong, even though I was losing 10 pounds of air every 2 days. Brought the car in again on Friday and they said that I had to make another appointment, this time the Saturday before Easter. They worked on the car for two hours and said they found and fixed the hole. I wake up this morning - Easter Sunday - to find my tire almost flat. I called them and they told me that I probably need to replace the tire.

Wish I could give this no stars. Perhaps the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Came in to replace 4 new tires and a rim. Came in Friday and waited 30 minutes JUST to make an appointment and had to order my rim which said would be there by Monday. It’s Tuesday and I was waiting for over 2 hours because my rim wasn’t there. If you’re looking for a tire change, go across the street they had my rim ready and got a significantly better price. Oh yea, and they told me to wait to get my refund....

Went to only get my tires balenced, took like two hours which seemed long but I wouldnt complain because its a bigger truck, but even after all that time, none of my lug nuts where tight enough. Realized when I noticed that one of them had actually fallen off at some point. Pretty important thing to be over looked... wouldnt ever go back there

Was told the part I needed wasn’t available... I ask if they’d look online see if anywhere else! Guy was adamant not available even looked saying “No” nothing found! I myself went home straight after and found online... shipped then picked up same store!

Got the car right in and the service was great pricing to be fair.

I came to ask for help with my car, and the tech that can diagnose isnt in again until Tues or weds...I understand .What I truly found disappointing was that I had told Tony that I needed an oil change also.I asked if he would check the level for me.He did. He said youre low and could add a qt. Buy one and take it home. I asked if he would add it for me .He said No:. Okay , then I asked to borrow a funnel. ..he obliged.Just not impressed with his service or lack of .Clearly, he was done for the day, but No matter how late it is at work Ive never not helped a client in need of assistance. It doesnt make me want to come back , there are too many other choices .Why would I return?

I took my car in to have the air conditioner serviced and I wanted 4 new tires. I was told I only needed 2 tires. I explained that my tire pressure light comes on and it could be from one if the front tires. I was told the tires would be checked for leaks. Clearly they werent because the tire pressure light is back on. Plus, they did not rotate the front tires to the back. I question if the wheel alignment was even done. And dont get me started on the air conditioner. We had it serviced 4 mos ago at another pep boys location. And now its not working again. I bit the bullet and paid again to have it serviced again. This last visit set me back over $600 bucks and I dont trust the service I received. I commute to work and this stress is ridiculous.

Needed to install a headlight I bought online. Turned out bulb was damaged possibly during shipment. Pep Boys matched the price & completed installation in fairly quickly. Very nice of them to do that for me!

Ive tried all the local auto repair shops in this area and can say with confidence Pep Boys on Brookhurst is the best place for me and the 5 cars I get serviced regularly. Hector Gonzalez and his team continue to go out of their way to supply superior customer service and will do their best to get you the best possible deal available.

This is potentially the best customer service Ive received at an auto shop..ever. Jimmy, Jim and Pat each were willing to explain the details thoroughly, offer great customer advice and work with techs to make sure the work is done right.

I would not suggest this place. They do poor jobs and sometimes you need to take your car back multiple times to correct the problem. So if you want to save time and money, take your car somewhere else. For oil change that place is recommended.

Ive been going there for years I like the creepy staff

Lots of options out there and lots of prices lower to choose from so dont waste youre time here. I brought some rotors here to be turned that measured .985 and were glazed but no gouges. Minimum spec is .960 and the guy comes back and says sorry you need new rotors. When I questioned the specs he changed his mind and apologized. Then he said come back this afternoon I mentioned I had a vehicle waiting and the people said pep boys would cut the rotors while I waited. After he questioned the tech on the time the tech said that he was going to have to take off to much material. Dont get ripped off because you dont understand what they are telling you. Just go somewhere else with integrity in their work and you can trust them.

AMAZING! I had a flat tire and the nice men at pep boys stayed late to replace it for me. Couldnt be more appreciative. Great service

This place is terrible!! Not only did I wait 20 minutes to speak to someone about fixing a tire that had a slow leak but when I realized the next day the tire had not been repaired correctly I called and ask about fixing it the guy said sorry cant do it today!!! So let me get this rite not only did u not fix it but you wont fix it today after I have already paid you?? He said yes sir that correct. Manny Moe and Jack this is why you will soon be out of business. Closing store after store with customer service like this. Never again will I go back. Shame on you for taking a customers money and not fixing it correctly and then refusing to fix it the following day!!

Although I had an appointment to get my oil changed I still had to wait about 2 hours! But, they were very helpful and friendly. I dont think it was them why it took so long, it was the online system that over booked them.

Ive been here a few times now for oil changes and preventive maintenance. The service is always slow. It doesnt seem to matter if they are slow or busy, the service is just slow.

Great service, was helped quickly by service manager Laurie (at least she should be) got my car in and out quickly.

Now let me start this story by saying I did show up 15 minutes before they closed however they were still there and they refused to change a tire for me that is whats wrong with the automotive industry lack of customer service I should know I own an auto repair shop in a different city I would never ever do that to anybody who needed help what happens when you have kids running a business a service business the lack of service is astonishing. Luckily I called A buddy of mine at HB Auto and AC who got out of his house came and opened up the shop and allowed me to change my tire on my wifes car that had a nail in the sidewall HB Auto and AC is the best shop in Huntington Beach with people who care and well go out of their way for you its people like that that restores my faith in the automotive industry. Youre supposed to go out of your way to help people thank you John at HB Auto and AC anybody taking the car to Pep Boys is an idiot unskilled unhelpful unprofessional

Good people and decent prices. All the guys are very helpful for parts and maintenance and they also allow you to dump old oil.

Ive come here for years and the store is always clean. The parts are a very good quality at affordable prices and service is done with a good level of expertise.

The employees at this Pepboys are very helpful...great customer service. Hector (service manager) is awesome and spent 15 minutes on the phone explaining to me what kind of work was involved with replacing various gaskets and other mechanical info. He and Adam both work hard and call you right back and stick to prices quoted over the phone. Weve had brakes replaced and gaskets replaced and a new clutch installed (always lower prices than most competitors) and have never had any problems with the work done. I highly recommend this Pepboys.

Ive been going to the Pep Boys on Brookhurst and Garfield for years. Joined their Rewards program and get rebates when I spend money there. Plan on dropping your car off so you dont have to wait.

Horrible ServiceTook my 2009 Nissan Sentra to get the brakes checked and $ 400.00 later I have had to take the car back twice. The brakes were worst after they worked on them. You go to the store and they are under staffed. Had to wait 15 minutes to talk to someone. They also never call to give you updates or if the car is done. I dropped off the car yesterday morning (Friday)for the 2nd time to fix the brakes and had to call this afternoon (Saturday) to see what was going on, just to find out they have not looked at the car yet. I bet if I dont call them back I will not hear from them and not get the car back today. They finally called Sunday afternoon. I just hope they had someone else that knows how to work on brakes.

Order your parts and supplies online and get a much, reduced price than in store prices. You can even order online from your phone while you are in the store and then tell the manager that you just placed the order online. They will retrieve your part or supply and give you the reduced, online price.STAY AWAY FROM THE REPAIR GARAGE.....PEP BOYS WILL RIP YOU OFF AND MAKE YOU PAY FOR REPAIRS THAT YOU DONT NEED....They did this to me and I argued that my vehicle didnt need what they wanted to do....I told them to put my truck back together as you found it and give it back. They obliged and didnt charge me for anything when I told them I was going to look into legal action for defrauding their customers.....I then took my vehicle to an honest mechanic who repaired it for a small fraction of what Pep Boys LIED TO ME about needing.I feel so sorry for vulnerable men and women who know nothing about auto repair. My experience was proof, that Pep Boys will steal from you to make their sales quota and to line their pockets crookedly with your hard earned money....STAY AWAY FROM PEP BOYS SERVICE COUNTER. TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I called and spoke with someone to check availability on u joints for my drive shaft. he said they had one for the front. I went in to pick it up. a different person was now helping me which was the manager. He looked up the parts and looked at my truck. He said their book was showing both parts were identical. I purchases both u joints pulled drive shaft and pulled old u joints. installed new u joints to find out both were different and both parts I purchased were wrong! complete waste of my time!
