A magical place (not kidding!). I finally feel as if my Subaru Outback is in great hands and I can relax and trust. I took my back seat out for a camping trip... big mistake! Soobie Surgeons had the back-seat back-in real quick and even picked up and dropped off the vehicle while we happily shopped in town. Woodbury can be a tricky place for getting your Subaru repaired. Anything I needed on my outback necessitated a trip to get it fixed somewhere else. I feel like I was at the dealership at least once a month until I found Soobie Surgeons. They even picked up and delivered my car for free! Keith and Ben are extremely knowledgeable and caring and walked me through the whole process. Im glad I finally found my shop.

Been having a great experience with the shop for the past 2 years. As a newly graduated international student with no credit or loan options, I found myself needing a car to move to California for a job. Keith, the owner of Soobie Surgeons, who I knew from before offered to find me an affordable car and set up a reasonable payment plan. In no time, I found myself in a lovely Subaru Forester with a carefully rebuilt engine (rebuild done by Soobie Surgeons) cruising down the Pacific Highway. So far I have put about 12,000 miles on the car without any issues. I have stayed in touch with the shop and got great recommendations for oil changes and routine maintenance in California. I had a wonderful experience with Soobie Surgeons. I was concerned about an engine light and was able to get my Impreza checked out within half an hour of calling them. They were really friendly and helpful, and explained everything in a really understandable way. When everything was checked out, they gave me advice and sent me on my way without charging me a cent! Such a great experience.

Keith really knows his stuff. I brought my impreza to him to have the timing done after another shop quoted me double his price. It is obvious that he is extremely thorough when fixing cars. The experience was very humanizing, and he was willing to explain, and show the before and after on another engine he was working on. He is the only one to trust with my car.

Very fair pricing and Keith is very knowledgeable as well. They are hoping to expand soon as well. He helped me diagnose my bad wheel bearing in about 5 min.

Keith is very knowledgeable with Subarus and hes always ready to help. As soon as he lifted up the hood of my Subaru, he was able to tell what has been done with the car. I came in with an oil leak ( I couldnt figure where it was at all) and he was able to figure it out in the first few minutes when looking at the car. His inspection services is free which is really nice and helpful for me, a college kid. Keith is also very kind and friendly. I can listen to him all day explaining how a certain part works or why a part is causing what problem. His work is honest work as he wants you there when he points out the problems of your car. He defeats the stereotype of mechanics and I will continue to bring my Subaru problems to him.

I’m not a car girl so I never know if I’m getting a good deal. My son loves Subarus so when I found a used one when I was looking I nabbed it. Brought it to Keith for a few minor things and wow! I’ve never walked under a car before and been shown all the parts and told they look good!! I was a little sticker shocked when I got the bill, but that’s just cuz I’m 53 and haven’t had a car worth keeping up for quite some time. Showed the receipt to my son, he said he’s paid far more for similar work. I will definitely keep bringing my “baby” to the Soobie Surgeons 😊 And now my son wants to go there too!!

I bought my 2009 Impreza used with only 120,000 miles a year ago. I bought one with the flawed head gaskets that were supposed to have been replaced. Lets just say you get what the previous owner neglected like letting it run low on oil. I had to have the engine rebuilt. I was devastated. I was told about Soobie Surgeons by a neighbor and held out hope I wasnt about to lose a fortune. I called Keith and told him my issues. He reassured me he will fix it right the first time and it wont break my bank. It took longer than hoped, but Keith did an excellent job and at a great price. I now have 2300 miles on my rebuilt engine and it runs like a new one. Thanks Keith and team for bringing my engine back to life. 200,000 miles Im gunning for you. Keith has a wealth of knowledge with all Subaru cars. He is very personable too. He encourages you to look at your car with him and seems to be a proponent for people learning how do do basic things on their own cars to become more self reliant. This was my first visit to his shop and I plan on going back to him in the future.

We bought our sons 1st car from Travis about 1 1/2 years ago. It was a 98 Forester, the 1st year the Forester was made. Travis had done tons of work on it and I can honestly say it ran like new. We never had to put a dime into it other than regular maintenance. It was priced appropriately for its year & miles but we got much more than what we paid for. Last night my son swerved to avoid a deer, rolled, flipped and landed in the trees. He walked away with one tiny scratch on his hand. Even tho it was nearly 20 years old both air bags went off. The officer who responded and the tow guy cannot believe he is ok. Even the cop said hell be a Subaru man after seeing that wreck and seeing my son walk away. The commercials about the safety of Subarus are true and Soobie Surgeons are honest mechanics & sell cars anyone can trust with the life of their loved ones. I am as grateful to them as a mother can be! I would (and will) recommend them to anyone!

My Subaru Forester had a differential problem. I could not have been more pleased with the Services which Keith and his staff performed. Keith also saved me several thousand dollars based upon other cost estimates that were given to me by others Soobie Surgeons is now my go to Subaru Mechanic.

I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for any company before, but after my first experience at the Soobie Surgeons I figured I should change that! All I needed was an oil change on my ‘18 Crosstrek and Ben was very quick to get the job done. Keith gave me the run down of my car along with suggestions on maintenance to ensure it continues running for years to come. Needless to say, these guys know their stuff when it comes to Subaru’s and they’ve gained another loyal customer!

I have found it difficult to be talked to humanely when getting my car repaired in the past. After replacing my brakes and recharging my AC, I asked Keith to show me how to change the oil on my 2012 Outback. He was more than happy to show me and tell me about things to watch for in the future. His son helps him in the shop, so you know youre supporting a local family run business.

They are my go to shop for my car, its great to have a locally owned, independent shop.

Brought my forester in there for a 150k mile look over and ended up needing an axle repair. Not only did Keith find me parts, but they didn’t break the bank! I take my 2009 Forester on some trails during hunting season so it sometimes gets a little beat up. Keith has always been meticulous in his care when I bring it in. He is one of the only mechanics Ive met who takes preventative maintenance seriously and considerately.

I just had my 08 outback brought back to life by Keith and his crew here and am so glad I found them. I had blown my head gaskets and my CV boots were ripped wide open. It took a bit long but it was no small job. Keith was kind enough to come pick up my car and drop it of to me (in MN). I know I have a few more things to do to make my baby perfect and I’ll surly be bring her back to Soobie Surgeons!

I would seriously be so lost without Soobie Surgeons (Keith, Travis and Terri!) I have a small fleet of subarus (three) for myself and my two sons, and Keith and the crew have done an incredible job keeping us on the road for the last 5 years. Chilson Subaru recommended I come here after I mentioned wishing there was a high quality subaru shop near the cities. Although Keith did take a little longer than expected taking care of the service for my impreza, I was thrilled with the quality and price. He also installed a Rigid trailer hitch for me at a fraction of the cost that a previous shop had quoted me. And their dogs are adorable!

The fatal subaru flaw hit me - headgaskets! Keith talked me through his entire service for my 2005 Forester, including the work he does with a local machinist at crow custom welding. My wife and I were hesitant to work with someone who wasnt a dealer but we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the work, and the price. Highly recommended.

I had recently purchased a used 2010 Outback with 90k from a dealer. Afew weeks later the drive train was binding during slow sharp turns in parking lots due to a bad viscous coupler in the center differential.I tend to do all my own minor and a fair amount of major mechanical work on my vehicles, but I knew this was a job best left to someone with more knowledge and proper equipment. I found Subaru Surgeons while searching forums for local recommended Subaru repair shops. I felt confident trusting my car to them right away after talking with them on my initial call. I found them very knowledgeable with every topic I asked about. Its obvious they take pride in doing the work well, while being priced fairly.What it comes down to, Subaru Surgeons does good work while using the corrects parts to keep you and your car on the road for many miles.

I literally don’t know where to start.... First of all I would give this place zero stars if that was an option. We dropped my boyfriends car off to have the rear bearings replaced and he found the hubs were frozen to the axle which made it difficult to say the least to get the bearings off. However, weeks started going by we left voicemails and stopped by and he was nowhere to be found. He was essentially avoiding the problem. So we finally stopped in when he was there and said we need the car done by the end of the week. It wasn’t. Then we left more voicemails and finally said we’d be there to pick the car up at a certain time. This time the car was almost done but still not driveable. After two months of the car being there he had not offered us a rental car as we were down to one car and made numerous excuses as to why it took so long. Then when we finally picked up the car he told us the engine dies if it’s idling and that there is a scraping noise coming from the rear end. This is not what you want to hear when the car has already been in the shop for two months. I WOULD NEVER GO HERE AGAIN.
