I like this independently owned hardware, lumber and Benjamin Moore paint store on Yale St. at W. 24th St. in the Heights.Store associates are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I can walk in with a particular hardware item in mind and be taken to its location. In a big box home improvement store, I end up spending 30 minutes looking for the item.Merchandise presentation is good and prices are reasonable. The only drawback is the fact that the price on many items is not marked.

It’s been a Nightmare experience from the start, our architect recommended this company for our new house and we purchased all doors and windows there, we have had multiple issues from the start, seems the glass is not as sturdy as it says and we didn’t cut corners on our purchase we bought the best, NOW our front door glass door is broken and who knows how since we are not living there yet, we are not under warranty according to them and we ordered the new glass which was over 500 $ just the glass pane alone to be replaced 2 weeks ago and we are still waiting to receive it, has to call for an update? not happy at all with the whole experience.

The employees are nice and helpful. But going here is not worth the risk of catching Covid. One employee wore his mask below his nose, and walked all over the store like that, including walking 3 feet from me. Another employee put on the mask when we walked in, and after checking us out while we were still at the register, removed the mask. The sign says that you must wear a mask to enter the store, but I guess that only applies to the customers.

Friendly and helpful sraff

Needed a plumbing part. The woman I talked to sent me a picture to make certain that was the piece I needed so I wouldnt waste my time. Because of them I was able to repair a minor plumbing issue that could have become a larger problem. Thank you for your service and attention!

I enjoy this small scale business. Laura is super knowledgeable about paints. She remembers me after years and even remembers past colors we used. They are the local Benjamin Moore carrier, and have always provided great service. I dont normally have to wait for attention.

I had my first experience at Grogan and was so impressed by their selection of windows and doors. Their new showroom is fully stocked and you can actually test the products! I definitely recommend!

I prefer Grogans over the big box stores when buying doors and windows, and when I need better quality.Pricing, sales people, delivery crew...All very good.

I called in to this company three times. Two of them I was put on hold and nobody came on the line. I did speak with a Laura in windows she was fairly aggressive which was fine if she also did what she was supposed to. However, she did not ever email me a quote. It was a quote for about $30,000 of windows I might add. To get this quote would take likely hours longer.

I need as back door replaced and I knew that Milgard Doors and Windows provided excellent doors. I contacted Milgard and they had Grogan Building Supply contact me. I have several emails back and for with Elena Garcia explaining I wanted to replace my rear house door and frame and that I wanted the inside shutter put back on and the burglar alarm magnetic sensor reinstalled; simple installation and project. She told me I would have to subcontract the shutter and the burglar alarm sensor which I didnt like being told. Anyway,. after asking 3 or 4 times , I never could get a price quote from Grogan Building Supply. I guess they just didnt want the business.

The attention to customer service is second to none, and the variety of tools, lumber and hardware is outstanding for a neighborhood store. Their Design Center gives homeowners and contractors an excellent advantage when deciding on doors and windows for a new project or an upgrade. Grogans has it all!

I have had such a horrible experience with this company! We spent over 3k with them and I regret it! Customer Service is horrible! No one ever knows how to answer my questions! No communication! I wish I had gone else where with my time and money! Never Again!

I agree with Chad. I was referred to Laura by a friend. She sent a window installer out to do my measurements but she never sent me any quotes after calling the store multiple times. Its unprofessional and disrespectful of peoples time and trust. Will be taking the business somewhere else.
