This is definitely my favorite place to go for all my gardening needs. I love how family friendly they are and their Fall Family Fun Day was so much fun! My daughter loved seeing all the chickens, rabbits, and kittens.

Weve been visiting this feed and garden store in its original and new location since we moved to Texas in 1996. As kids we loved seeing all the animals and looking at all the fun things they stock, and now my kids love it almost a generation later. The staff is always kind, knowledgeable and ready to help.

We decided to go pick up some pies at flying saucers pies for the 4th of July weekend. On the way to the pie house we took East Shepard we noticed a plant place . Beautiful and very clean . My wife took off to look for a special plant she has been looking for .She kept looking for her plant called whitePortulaca. Me I look for antiques and yarddecorations. To my surprise I found this medium sized plantCart . I checked it out and it looked very sturdy . Was welded by a professional. The cart was a bit expensive , but I havent seen one this size . It was perfect for our yard . So , I bought it . Wabash plant place is small but very well equippedSupplies for your yardPet feed , plants and decorations for your yard . They do NOT offer military or senior citizens discounts . Parking is very small but they do have handicap parking. Will be visiting again .This is my home with my wifes new planter cart .

Theyve lost me as a customer thanks to sales person named Chris. Prices on product was clearly marked $22, I purchased 2 along with other items. After he rung everthing up I noticed he had charged me the wrong price$24 each. I walked him back to the shelf to show him it was cheaper than he charged be (because of course he didnt believe me). After seeing the price, he told me that they were in the process of raising prices and that I had to pay the higher price. Then tried to shame me by saying, my god its only $4, if you dont like it you can bring you reciept back and complain to somebody else!.... I work hard for my money. Ive been a customer since before they moved from downtown. And Ive spent a lot of money at this store, now Id rather go somewhere else that treats me as a valued customer & person!!

I have bought several Milkweed plants from Wabash, I like the certainty that the plants were not treated with any pesticides. My first graders had so much fun watching the life-cycle of a butterfly!!Mark was very helpful and spent time answering all of my gardening questions.Also, my cat approves of the organic cat nip!

Went nuts up in there! So many cool things. Had to put stuff backAnd then, the power went out. Thank goodness they were able to manually, yes folks, handwrite receipts. The entire staff made me feel like one of their regulars as soon as I walked in. I had been to the Washington avenue location, but never to the n shepherd new (new to me) location. 5+years they have been there. Time flies. Thank you Wabash crew for your excellent customer service!! Go see them, if you havent already!

I have been going here for over a decade and have always had a great experience. The staff are so friendly and happy to answer any questions, and I am always excited to come back and check out the beautiful plants and local products. I adopted a kitten from Wabash several months ago (she came with her first round of shots and worming) and she is the sweetest kitten! Thank yall for giving me years of great experiences and a sweet feline friend! :)

I always enjoy looking at the neat stuff they have and buying their bird and animal feed.

They have chickens, roosters, guinea and rabbits for sale! Of course there are seeds, plants of all kind, trees, gardening supplies, decorative metal & wooden garden arches, pet food, pet toys, animal traps, and so much more!

New location is much nicer and roomy. Service was better, even though items arent separately priced still. Fresh farm eggs and cute 2 puppies and kittens.Describe it as an Upscale Feed Store, with higher prices.

I went with my friend to Wabash Feed & Garden Store looking for plants for my patio. As we walked in we were greated and welcomed by the staff. The merchandise displayed was fun and colorful . In the garden I was greeted by Mark. I told him Im putting together a butterfly garden to show me the plants that I could use. He show me the plants that would attrac butterflies and gave me a pamphlet that would help me with my project. The plants are healthy and thriving. Im definitely a satisfied customer.

Walbash is a terrific store it has everything you’ll ever need From plants to animal needs. This store is so uniquely different it’s fun & beautiful!!The people that work there have a passion for what they do & Know everything about what you will need.They have fun days for children and festivals for the fall. Reminds me of when I was a kid and we went to the feed stores back home in Louisiana. I highly recommend!!!! I had a problem and sent them an email and Rhondda was very prompt in returning the email and helping resolve the issue. PLUS !!, she gave me details on the problem, so helpful and very good customer service. They carry products that you just cant find in the big box stores. Customer service is awesome as are the knowledgeable staff. If you looking for a down home atmosphere in the city, this is it. Experience it for yourself. You will be glad you did.

I drove all the way here from Katy today and it was worth it.They do require you wear a mask indoors just like most places.They had seeds thats been hard to find and many medicinal herbs also hard to find. The 4 inch starter plants were all $2.99, but I only looked at herbs and edible plants. They were all outdoors and it was hottt! I also bought unique shaped terracotta planters.Very friendly and quick service from the moment I walked in. Highly recommend you visit and check out for yourself.

Love Wabash! They pretty much have it all. A great place to spend a couple hours. It has the warmth of a small town feel and is a little piece of relaxed wonderful in the big busy city. If you havent been, make plans to go visit and shop.

Greatest place in town for everything you need for the honey bees. This place often has free class on how to start having a beehive. Some regular staff have great knowledge on beehive products and ready to help just in case you need a super or foundation for the bees.

First time visiting today. Passed by it for decades. Found the plant I was looking for to replenish garden. Yea me! 👏👏

I just went to this place and yes the plants are good but they miss treat the animals. I went to see the bunnies and they didn’t have hay, and the cage was way to small and the bottom had holes. Hay is very important not only because it’s good for them,but it wheres done there teeth. The had kittens as well and the cage was to small, and they didn’t have much food and it was a mess.

Good tasting food but service is bad. I usually order takeout and used to get sides with my dumplings and chopsticks with my order. Now we have to ask for sides and the right amount of chopsticks. And when I ask they are rude.

Called on the phone to ask if they have horseshoes. they quoted me a price of two dollars apiece I drove to the store picked up 16 horseshoes. they tried to charge me over four dollars apiece when I talk to them and told them the situation they did not want to change the price of the shoesso I was 25 minutes out of the way and out of time would not go back ever again

What’s the point of being vaccinated if you’re required to wear a mask

Extremely knowledgeable about all their gardening area. Mark helped us pick some fruit trees and told us about a Houston based gardening website to help us with our veggie garden to pick varieties of seeds. Always kid friendly and our son gets to see all the chickens, ducks, bunnies, kittens, birds, and sometimes puppies. They were even having a petting zoo this week for kids. Ive been coming here since they were still off washington for all kinds of stuff. Its fun just to wander around. Odd ball gifts a plenty and their giant parrot will talk to you.

Learned a lot about tree planting. Was excited they had H&H chicken food and Country Organics. Loved seeing the rabbits and hens for sale. Hoping more people get chickens in the city.

The prices are like rising every other week as for the my last few visits .

The Wabash Feed store is totally fantastic! They have a wonderful array of plants, trees, fruits, herbs, veggies and way more! These people are the most honest retailers youll ever meet. From mint to peppers, they have it all! My favorite feed store of all time! They also have livestock. At their old location on Washington, they had livestock from chickens, peafowl, quail, doves, pigeons, ducks, bunnies and more! Unfortunately, they moved. Fortunately, the new place is just as nice or even better. There is a large chicken coop in construction by a wonderful employee that has been working here at Wabash for as long as I can remember. He is the best with livestock. The Macaw is very nice, he is loud though. You will enjoy this place with your family.

Been going to Wabash for years. Absolutely live this place. This review isnt going to accurately depict Wabash, but Ill try. The owner and staff are incredible, down-to-earth people who are always helpful and attentive. I would consider Wabash to be a gem of the city. The arts & crafts are extremely unique & highly desirable. Theres a plethora of plants, herbs and trees that make you want to spend your whole paycheck on. Also, they do carry small livestock animals that will make you want to raise chickens, rabbits & ducks. Oh, and theres tons of cool stuff inside the shop too

This is a gem of a store. They sell seeds, herbs in pots, rabbits, hens, chickens... If your looking to grow anything go here. The owner is a sweet lady that knows everything about her store and always has people working there that know about growing anything and can help you learn to grow and keep your garden alive.

Lots of garden needs including a big selection of seeds. Good pet food department. If you are wanting to start beekeeping, they have lots of supplies. Fresh eggs for sale at $6 per dozen. It was just too hot to spend much time in the outside garden area, but there was a good selection of ornamental and food plants.

This is the best place to get chicken feed.as well as get advise on animal care.

The staff here is super friendly and very helpful! The have a wide variety of plants and everything in between including chickens! We were very impressed and will be going back to buy the plants that we wanted but hadnt planned to buy the day we were in the store. They also offer classes here and there which are super helpful, and if you dont have time to sit through the class they almost always have handouts for you to take!

I love this store! Parking is pretty tight but I never have a problem. The chicken we get from here are always healthy and good quality. The whole store is kept nice, neat, and organized. They have some wonderful smelling goat soaps. A very good selection of raw seeds not in a package to weigh out and buy. They also sometimes have bunnies in the back for sale. Ive seen peacocks, turkey, and a variety of birds for sale. They have a beautiful selection of flowers, herbs, veggie plants, trees, etc. So much in one place. Definitely worth checking out! Oh and nice clean restrooms!

Great store! They sold me leashes, catnip, a boss celebrity tomato plant, a Tabasco pepper plant, pea seeds, and $10 bag of potting soil the last time I was there. They dont sell cat leashes. I bought a petite dog leash (4 ft.) and a chicken leash (4 ft.) for my cats. They are exactly the same and work perfectly. I highly recommend them. I will definitely be back for more potting soil. The selection is great. They dont sell animal antibiotics. The state made it so no store in Texas sells animal antibiotics anymore. That decision had nothing to do with their store. It was a decision made in Austin. You have to go through a veterinarian to get them.

I love this feedstore! They always have the dog food I use in stock and many more natural items I give to my dogs such as knee bones and thorax chips. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Best in the city!

This place is awesome. My tomatoes plant is doing wonderfully. It is so much fun to look at all the animals and the staff is supper helpful. They even offer classes on gardening and caring for live stock. I am still suprised that I left there without a bunny.

I went in for a speech from Mark Bowen from the ground up, and left with a newfound respect for feed stores and the Greater Houston area. Wabash really set the bar High with amazing customer service great personalities and overall good selection organic products. I must say that my children absolutely loved all of the animals that they had however I wished that I hadnt taken them cuz I hated to have to tell them no.

Customer service is awesome. I went in looking for a philodendron plant they only had large ones. A worker helped propagate it, put root hormone on them and potted it. She went above and beyond. This is my go to nursery.

Very nice store. I have been doing business with wabash since they were on Washington Avenue. Went it to buy cages for birds. Did not have exactly what I was looking for. The lady to my name and both phone numbers she said she would get a price and call me. She never did. Got in touch with her maker of the cages and spent over $600.00. Got what I wanted made the same day. Wabash feed did not need my$600.00.

Indoor a/c. Great customer service for any gardening or animal care needs. The outside garden is beautiful with great priced vegetation and flowers. Be mindful of the parrot for its only there to look at. Besides that they have a variety of chics, hens, rabbits, and adorable puppies. Whether you need pet food, yard apparel, animals or even some fresh delicious honey. This place has a little bit of all. Great place to bring the kids as well.

Now this place should be a model for how chickens are kept. They did have a few birds that looked sick but were isolated and had not for sale signs. Great variety of gardening, house hold items, pet items. Staff is friendly and will answer questions. They only get a 4 cause they can be a little pricey on some stuff.

Staff are super friendly. Great prices for dog food, as well as having loyalty programs for different brands. Always have tons of cool trinkets, as well as animals to look at and purchase. I have to resist myself from bringing home a puppy every time I stop by.

Love this place I buy my dogs vaccines/dewormers/preventions there and the guy behind the counter is very informative about dog food and care. I have driven by Wabash a million and a half times! Now I am kicking my self, for missing out on this hidden over looked treasure. The people here are super cool the store has everything from little chickens to beautiful rooster and little pigmi bunnies (who knew) and baby chicks, fresh eggs, art bird feeders, and plants of all kinds. I give this 5 stars only because 10 is not an option.

Very helpful!!Justin educated us on the care of our first set of hens. He explained and showed us everything we need. Food, hay, etc..he also helped us load our car. We will be visiting again for some plants.
