Parts department is good but service department always goes straight to voicemail like you cant get anybody to answer your questions.

Called three times and still no return phone call on buying a new piece of equipment. Taking my business elsewhere. Horrible customer service

The absolute worst CAT dealer we have ever done business with. Our company is based in California and has bought from almost every cat dealer in the US. For the most part we almost always get our issues resolved. That is until we bought our first machine from Mustang Cat. Not only was this the worst purchase experience ever, but there were signs of intentional deception and negligence from Mustang. This is unheard of from a reputable Cat dealer. We bought a cat 414e skip loader from Mustang site unseen. They sent us a Cat dealer inspection report that was supposed to be done by a technician. Everything seemed ok with the exception of normal wear and tear. When the machine was delivered we noticed right away the engine was completely blown. It had so much blow by that you could stand next to the machine while it’s running and get covered in oil. The transmission didnt shift into reverse, one of the floor plates was missing and it was totally rusted out. None of this was notated on the report. In fact everything was said to be in normal operating condition. We contacted our sales rep Ross who told us immediately the machine was sold as is. When we explained the severity of the damage he then finally decided to get his manager involved. The manager instructed us to bring the unit to our local Cat dealer (Holt of CA) for inspection. Upon completing the inspection Holt confirmed everything we found. The machine needed a brand new engine, in addition to a multitude of other repairs, was about $15k in repairs. Once mustang received the quote our sales reps response was its sold as is, sorry. He also made the excuse that the previous manager had left the company. We contact the new manager and he said the same thing, that the unit was sold as is. As a dealer ourselves we understand that used machines are traditionally sold as is, but this was clearly deceptive and fraudulent. The manager even went as far as to say that the engine could have blown up on the transport truck from Texas to California?! Wow, how are you guys still in business?! We will be taking legal action against another dealer for the first time ever.

Jose Emily and Dorothy and Gracie are tremendous and always take very good care of me. Even when I make there job hard on them they give the best service!!!! Promotions and raises needed for ALL of them. Always so patient and kind no matter what I throw at em! Love em!!!!!

She sent me pictures of the parts to my cell phone since I was out on the field, she made the process of ordering the right part stress free even thou I wasnt too good at describing the exact part she nailed it.

This place is a throwback to the fifties. Everything manual. Everything done with paperwork - in triplicate. Slow moving, customer comes in and waits and waits, only to move 25 feet and wait again. Somebody needs to yank them into the 21st century.

Parts department is terrible. Everytime I pick up parts I have to get them to fix atleast 2 things. I do like the curbside pick up, but their service trucks park in all the spots. Can never find a place to park. Its worth driving to Austin to Holt cat. Much better service.

Abysmal customer service. I stood there for 40 minutes to receive 2 buckets of hydraulic oil. Mustang cashier reps didnt care one bit. Was told 4 times that my order is being pulled. I counted at least 9 people that came after have their order pulled before mines finally arrived. The manager here is definitely not performing as a manager should. His/her superiors need to take note.

Its tight to get your truck in this place

Now I was just a sub in for the stock truck driver this last week but I would love to give a review. I have never felt more welcome to a place than here. They were kind and respectful. I am also going to give a shout out to Barbara and a young man called Gus for going above and beyond there duty. I hope to see them in my travels again. They are the two most kind and amazing people. Keep them on as long as you can caterpillar, there arent many people left like that in this world.

Never again bringing my fuel pump here to get repair. Cost me my fishing season and cant help with anything. ALL fuel pumps are supposed to be tested b4 giving back to customers. Mine wasnt. Wasted my money, time, and season. Brought to another fuel pump place and they took care of it quick. Best advice, never do business with them. Once they take your money, thats is it! Your doneLess than 6 month later had to take my fuel pump apart and bring it to another shop to get it redone. Wasted time and money. Think twice before coming to Mustang Cat up in 290 houston
