From the moment I read Eastern Balance’s reviews, I knew I just had to go there. I don’t know if you’ve ever had the experience of going to an MD (or more than one) and explaining what is going on with your body to have them tell you “I don’t believe in that” or “That’s not a thing.” It’s very crushing. I have EMF Sensitivity issues. Which means that when they did the 5G rollout in Houston and installed all these antennas while we were in quarantine, by the time they started opening up the city, I suffered so much. Started feeling body aches, headaches, weakness, arrhythmia and tight chest. I even went out to the country side for a weekend and although I felt the effects less, they were still present. I was beginning to loose hope. Then I went to see Dr. Gong knowing that Chinese Medicine and acupuncture had helped me with other issues in the past. She read my symptoms and immediately said, “EMF sensitivity. We can work together to correct that.” Just the hope and acknowledgment alone was a huge step forward for me. Knowing there was someone who understood and was positive about correcting this. I’ve been going there for almost 3 months for acupuncture and treatment at the Houston Heights location and am so much stronger. I went from my body going into a complete panic when I was out for too long to being able to function without the pain and having certainty that if I do experience mild pain once in a while, it is not permanent. I’m so thankful for Dr Gong and Eastern Balance. I’ve also been bringing family members and friends who have gotten better. Even some with some viral activity, they were able to help recover quickly with the teas they prepare and a phone consult. Finding this practice has been a true blessing.

Dr. Gong is the best. I hurt my shoulder moving twice in three months. In six weeks my shoulder was completely well. I considered my weekly acupuncture sessions therapy as she gently guided me to think differently about my body. AND, on top of all of this, Dr. Gong is very funny and I left each appointment with a smile on my face. Healing and Humor in a professional package: a perfect combination.

A true hidden gem. Dr. Gong is sincere and very professional - a true master of her craft!. She genuinely cares for me and my family. My wife’s neck and back pain has much relieved through her acupuncture and herbal tea. My daughter suffers from restless leg syndrome and there’s no cure with western medicine and Dr Gong had cured her! My other daughter had chronic eczema and was dependent on specific creams/ steroids and after a number of treatment, she’s now less dependent on the creams and her eczema has significantly subsided. Most of all, for over ten years I had suffered fatigue, brain fog, lethargy, mood swings, poor digestion and more recently lack of energy to even carry out sports and with continued treatment over the last month, I suddenly felt “awaken”! Dr. Gong really cares about her patients. I came to her for fertility issues. We had several miscarriages with no successful pregnancies. I am now 20 weeks pregnant due to her care and treatment. I became pregnant right at the beginning of COVID and Dr. Gong went out of her way to make sure that I stayed safe and healthy. Even when many businesses were closing, she kept our appointments because she knew it was a very critical time in my pregnancy. She provided personalized care that you would never receive from a typical Western doctor. I really cant say enough about how much she has helped me through this process. If you are considering getting IVF, I strongly suggest trying Eastern Balance first. It takes time and youll need patience, but it does work.

Dr. Ellen Gong is a healer. I have had issues with red skin on my neck for years. My adrenaline felt as if it was stock on high all the time. Stomach bloat had gotten out of control,and blood pressure kept rising. On the first acupuncture treatment I had results that were amazing. Now after 3 treatments my skin is back to normal, Stomach has improved dramatically and my blood pressure has lowered. The entire staff is incredibly. They treat the whole body for healing in the mind, body and spirit. When you schedule your appointment (and you will, if your looking for results) be reading for the healing chance.

Since I have started accupuncture treatments with Dr. Ellen Gong my health has improved dramatically. But not just my physical health. This place is absolutely the best! It took a couple years for a co-worker to talk me into going. Now, I am completely hooked! it started with a shoulder issue and Ellen treated me for that issue. But, when she treats you for one issue, she looks at the whole package. Mental and physical. I go every three weeks now, but i take her herbal tea daily and a couple other supplements. It can help short term but long term it is a way of life. You would be surprised how much you change in three weeks. :-)

Dr. Ellen Gong is amazing doctor and human being. She helped me get back on my feet with her care and holistic treatment. I feel overall so much better than I ever used to feel before Eastern Balance!
