Look😎 I went to Texian Firearms after getting bad service at Academy. These guys are the real deal. They were so friendly and the owner greeted me at the door with a warm welcome. Everyone that worked there was so knowledgeable and took the time and personal attention you just dont find at stores anymore. Needless to say I made my purchase, at a great value....but the attitude if the store made the purchase a Event!!!!..... I recommend 👌 👏 👍 this store 100% when you get there just look for the real military hummer H1 outside and prepare to be in awe from there on !!!! 5stars from me!

Really happy with my purchase here. Background did take some time nothing on there part but we got it handled. Prices are fair not over priced like other shops and has any attachments your looking for and if not will order it to come next day.

I drove 5 hours round-trip from Austin to visit these guys, totally worth it. I visited as many stores as I could between Austin and Houston over the weekend and found exactly what I was looking for here (new 9MM handgun, AR accessories, ammo, plus a few extras I didnt know I needed).As mentioned above, the selection was far better than anywhere else I visited in a long weekend (for my needs).Prices were fair overall, especially considering the current economic landscape in this industry, nothing to complain about.Customer experience here was simply AMAZING. Called and spoke to a guy on phone about ammo. He said they have it. Drive 45 minutes and guy at counter said the didn’t have or sell ammo. Not sure what the deal was. Guy working counter seemed super unsure about what he was doing and talking about. First experience here but definitely will not be going back. Seem like super amatures.

We went in yesterday, after seeing the store. The owner said they were closed on Sundays, but welcomed us into the store, anyways. He said he usually wasnt in the shop then, but he was there working on paperwork and cleaning. Texian is an awesome outfit! In building my first AR I headed over to buy an armorers tool and was impressed with how welcoming they were. In popping in for just a quick second, I found myself an hour later still chatting with them. They were super cool throughout my rookie questions and were really engaging when we discussed a few weapons that I was more comfortable/experienced with. So I finished my build at home and, being a cautious owner, wanted to have it looked over before hitting the range. No problem! Justin and Tim went about checking out my work, making small suggestions along the way, and were really great in handling a newbie. I admittedly went the low-cost route on my first build and they offered some suggestions for modifications or for my next build, but at no point did I feel like they were strongly upselling me. All in all it was a ridiculously comfortable experience, I was super impressed, and if youre looking for a shop in the area I would ABSOLUTELY advise taking the trip so these guys can help you out!

If one does not know about firearms or is well experienced they will treat you both the same way. Respectful, courteous and polite. They will help you obtain the weapon you want or even if not inform you where it could be found.

If you read the review by user erin whitney, Im in the same boat. We paid for our rifles almost 4 years ago, and I still have not received my rifle. I received one phone call from Justin a couple of years ago spilling some excuses about the coating and other assorted problems with machining. My calls to them go unanswered and from the emails our group shares back and forth regarding this business, there are still many of us without our rifles. What respectable business strings along dozens of its customers for years?

Went all over Houston to sell a rifle and buy another. They gave me the best price on buying my rifle and on selling me the new one. Also one of the only shops that could actually order the new rifle. Ordered it on Saturday and got it on Tuesday at noon!! Wow incredible, and the owner made things fast and easy.

I ordered and paid for a custom rifle in March of 2016 along with several of my West Point Classmates. After many excuses several of my classmates began to receive their rifles over the course of 2 years. As of June 2019 I still have not received my rifle, none of my emails have been returned and I cant get through on the phone. Im currently pursuing action to retrieve my money.

I bought an AR-15 that the owner built. Inspecting it thoroughly later I realize that the buffer tube and trigger were badly put together/matched. I had to buy a brand new trigger, buffer tube and stock in order to have all the parts properly fit. Everything else was ok.

I originally wasnt sure what to expect from a firearms store of their size, but after doing business with Justin, I dont think I will be buying from anyone else.I originally called the store asking about completing an MP5 clone and visited the place in person to check out the shop. Justin was kind enough to stay after closing to tell me about his store and help me feel confident about completing the clone and SBR.Months later, I had decided to build a MK18 clone and decided to go with Texian Firearms for the order and gunsmithing. Unfortunately, the model was sold out from distributors. Not only did Justin help me source the model from a competitor but eliminated the transfer fee after I had gone through their shop for all my gunsmithing needs. Additionally, after a miscommunication on my part, Justin offered to buy back the incorrect flash hider and order the correct model. The old flash hider was removed and the new one both timed and rockset in less than a week. I would have never expected such a turnaround time on gunsmithing requests.The shop had never failed to answer my calls and Justin was even able to help with Form 1 questions. Furthermore, the items in his store have some of the least markup that I have seen in the firearms retail business.Great customer service, great turnaround, and a real enthusiasm for talking about guns. Lastly, if you are an Aggie, be sure to mention it.

Recently had Justin build me a 6.5 Grendel ar15 and I am very impressed. I dont normally write reviews but I love to support local small businesses especially when they have good customer service. Prices are very fair and his billet uppers and lowers surpassed my expectations. Justin is a stand up guy and I will definitely return for all my firearm needs.

What makes Texian firearms special is the service.I went to Justins shop almost a year ago and signed up for the license to carry class, I had a very bad experience, entirely driven by the instructor. I gave him a bad review. Not only did Justin reply to my post, he offered me to retake the class for free. I didnt see his response until recently but once I saw it, I called him he remembered me!! I took him up on his offer and re took the class, had to pay 50% cause he said his offer was a year old.But this time my experience was much more pleasant and I managed to get my carry license with no issue. In the end all was good and I have to give Justin a thumbs up for caring about his customers.
