Charming place, excellent service. Food was great, drinks were spendy but delish. We were there for a Valentines day dinner but will be back.

Dishonest bait and switch pricing.I contacted Bobbitt Glass to find out what it would cost to replace some 14x19 single layer panes in a historical building. Three had to be replaced as there were holes in them. Others were just cracked. I asked what it would cost per pane to decide if I should use them and how many to replace. I was told that it would be fourteen each for materials and thirteen sixty five for labor. I had 14 panes replaced thinking this was a reasonable per pane price. When I received the paid invoice it was for $1,669.78 Their explanation is that by $13.65 they meant $1,365. When you ask for a price per pane and the prices are presented as they were, anyone would assume the price was $13.65. I asked them if they would inform customers in the future of the total out the door price and was told that they would not. When I asked for a good faith discount they refused. This is simple glass installed with glazing caulk. They claim they charge $125 per pane, though this number was never discussed with me. And at any rate, I would never have paid this. It takes only a few minutes to chisel out the old glazing and install new. I could easily have gotten glass and installed it myself. At first I thought this was a comedy of errors but given their aggressive response in my communications with them and the negative reviews by other customers, I now suspect I was intentionally misled. Be sure to read the negative reviews below in addition to this one. I wish I had.

I ordered a table top that I needed before I left out of town. They were able to get it to me in that time frame and get it delivered. It was in perfect condition. The staff was all very helpful and professional.

I used to go to Bobbitt Glass all the time when they were at the corner of West Gray and Montrose and was really happy with them. This is the first time Ive been to their location on Fairview.I called their store to get a price on a round piece of glass to repair a clock. The guy I spoke to was very polite, gave me a price and told me that they would even do it while I waited. I got to their store on February 1 about 11 am to order the glass and was told that it would be 5 to 7 days. Oh well. I paid for it and left.On February 12 they called me and left a voice mail to let me know it was ready. They even told me their hours of operation which included Saturday from 9 to 1. Last Saturday I showed up at 9:15 and the store was not open. I even knocked on the door a couple of times. A lady who apparently lives above the store came out on her landing and told me no one was there. I called the phone number and left a message. I ran some other errands and after an hour I called again and still no one answered. I pressed the option for the after hours number and was put through to a guy who handles emergency calls. I explained what was going on and he cut me off saying he only handles emergencies and hung up on me. Around 11 am I called and finally someone answered. I said Ive been trying to pick up my order since 9:15. The woman said she only got there at 9:15 so I must have just missed her. When I asked why no one was answering the phone until now she didnt say anything.Like I wrote earlier, I used to be very happy with Bobbitt glass. Even though I moved away I drove 15 miles to use them based on past experiences. I guess I need to find some better options.

Let me say first, the product and service was great, until there was a mistake made by the owners daughter. I went in with sizes written down for some glass. The order was done in the specified time fame. I took it home to place on our table, it was half an inch shy, I called and they said they would cut a new one. I went back and the staff was quite pleasant and told me they would have it out in half an hour. Wonderful, great fine and dandy. Just before they gave it to me, the owners daughter approached me and began challenging me. Are you sure you told me ... Yes, in fact it was written down for you. do you have the paper? All with an air of attitude. I asked her why she as speaking to me thus. Because I dont like it being said its my fault. Im sorry but it was your fault and everyone else here is being quite pleasant. Well, you can take this one free, but dont expect this anymore. Well with being treated this way, I wont even be back. Thats fine. Final words. I stepped back in to ask if she was the owner. No, Im the owners daughter. Oh so thats why you talk to people like this....sad. I have been buying from Bobbitt since the 80s at their former location. Im sorry respect has not been taught to the next generation.

I ordered a frameless shower and had a custom mirror piece for my cabinet done. They were professional, punctual and installed everything within my timeframe. I really appreciate them working with me on what I needed. Everyone I encountered was polite and helpful. Would recommend.

These people have became my friends during my last project. Very helpful, very nice work, great service, reasonable pricing. Deserving of five stars.

Very long process for what should not have been so difficult and a bad ending. We had a glass replaced at our home (approx 32x39). When their installer came the first time to measure, he notated on the order that the glass was glazed. We received a bid and ordered an install. Installer was sent again to remeasure and glass was ordered. When glass was finally installed (about a month later!), it was not glazed. Installer represented that he had written it on the description to Bobbitt. Never, never was it mentioned that it would not be glazed. Bobbitt simply stated they hired that out and gave us a telephone number. Cost of glass and glass, just over $600! This is NOT a way to run a business.

They cut my glass and it took 2 weeks for tempered glass. Didnt fit. They recut the glass, still doesnt fit on 1 corner! Parking is frugal and getting on the road, difficult.

The Bobbitt family is great. They spent a ton of time helping with our custom home shower enclosure and smart glass. I cant recommend them enough.

Ive been using Bobbit Glass as long as I can remember, and my parents used them in the 1950s. Theyve always done everything, from very small to very large, on time, accurately, and fairly priced. I used to live near by, but I still use them, even though its a long way. They always get it right.

Bobbit Glass and its owner, Nicole, was wonderful to work with! They went above and beyond customer service to handle all our glass needs. They also installed our Switch Lite Glass (aka Smart Glass) when other companies shied away from it.

I just called and got a quote for a table top (dinning table). I also called another store to get a quote as well, as any consumer should do. Bobbitt Glass was a little over $300. more expensive .. Its too bad because I would rather have spent the money in my own neighborhood.

Not sure what has happened with the prior people, but I have used Bobbitt Glass on and off throughout the years. My first experience, oddly enough, happened with them when I was in High School wayyyy back in the early 90s and threw a party while my parents were out of the country and during a round of quarters, the glass coffee table top broke. I called around, had the measurements, brought in a piece of the glass, and they had the thing ready that day and boom - no one was the wiser. In fact, it looked exactly as before.Since then, I have had odd jobs of varying sizes that they finish with expediency, care, and efficiency. And that is over 20 years of my knowing them - always professional, always spot-on, and always to specification. Having read the one review by someone who ordered a custom installation at their site during the holidays, all I can say is even I know better than to do that. Do that sort of thing in offseason of homebuilding - late fall, early winter, early spring. Never right at holiday season or close to a long holiday weekend. That is asking for circumstances beyond the control of a firm to go haywire. Shipments run late, manufacturers cannot complete orders, and then you have a supply chain issue and things go wrong. Common sense will tell you never to do that.Be smart, get your ducks in a row, and do things with an eye on the calendar.That being said, Bobbitt Glass Company is, hands down, not only best in class - theyre best in Houston. I have always had fabulous service, attentive folks on the phone, and they treat you like family. From my juvenile silliness over 20 years ago to my professional needs in the modern era, Bobbitt Glass has been there.

I found them very informitive and professional through the whole process, the installers were very polite and and took the time to answer any guestions I had, I will not hesitate to call them in the future with any glass needs I might have.

Over priced , the only reason why i used the service because i thought they come in same day by then it was late they said they come tomorrow didnt show till the next day again . Didnt do good job on my window had plastic pieces hanging off .
