*Update* Thank you for the response, I reached out to me previous optician and another reputable eye doctor in the area as well, to confirm this practice, so I could retract if that was the case. Unfortunately, not only did both offices take the time to listen to exactly what I was asking before cutting me off and simply saying no. The contacts I was asking about were virtually identical. However, I was never even given a chance to get even that far with your office. Both doctor’s saw absolutely no reason MEDICALLY for the issue with your office. And since I am still well within a year of my exam, and your office is again citing company policy, I stand by my review. TERRIBLE! Only want your money for UNNECESSARY EXAMS and will boy give you prescriptions. It’s been less than a year since my eye exam but they refuse to give me a general prescription for contacts, citing “corporate policy”. Money is their focus over patient care. I explained I needed a prescription for a less expensive contact due to changes in my job because of Covid and the REFUSED! Again, it’s been less than a year since my exam. (10/2020) I was SHOCKED when I explained my situation, and was simply told no, I had to come in get another exam. There is ZERO medical or legal reason for this, only $$. I highly recommend Houston Eye Professionals! I had an eye injury at work and needed to see an eye doctor and they saw me as a walk-in on a Sunday afternoon and I’m just so grateful to all of their staff! Everyone from the moment they greet you to helping you over the phone with my prescription were super friendly, patient and knowledgeable! I had an eye abrasion that got better in a few days, the follow up appt went well with more help to improve my eye! Thank you guys!

From the moment I walked in I knew I was in good hands. The front desk staff were very friendly. I filled out my paperwork and got my eyes tested. The optometrist was definitely very knowledgeable and very very polite. He made sure to acknowledge and answer any questions, comments or concerns that I had. It was an absolute pleasure visiting Dr. Jayson Tomy, O.D. and associates. Thank you very much to all of you guys and gals for your amazing customer service and giving me my vision back!

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!! I went in for a new prescription and had my new glasses made. When I got them I couldnt see through them. So I went back to Houston Eye Prof and got another prescription with a little adjustment, which they made me pay for, and LensCrafters made me another pair. Still couldnt see through them. So I went to a different optometrist and she immediately said I needed to see a specialists. It turns out I had a cataract and once removed my vision was back to normal. So because of these people I paid for 4 exams and they werent experienced enough to notice that I had a cataract.

Awesome staff! I walked in and they took me without an appointment. Doctor was very friendly and answered all my questions. I loved the high tech equipment. My insurance covered the contacts, overall very pleased with my experience!

I always trust Houston Eye Professionals with my regular exams. As a business owner, I like that there is never any wait and that the staff are extremely courteous and professionals. Always on time, latest in technology, and take their time listening to my concerns. I highly recommend this place.

I received an eye exam March 22 and got fitted for my contacts. I was advised due to my prescription my contacts will have to be ordered and it will take a couple of days. I waited a week no phone call. I called to check and the young lady advises me they were on backorder. Once again, another 2 weeks past no call. I called again and was told due to the store it delayed the contacts and they only have the left contact. Now a month has past and I called again, this time the young lady was rude with me and told me that they still wasnt in. I ask can I please get my prescription and go to another site she told me no she was not able to do that. Now here it is April 4, no contacts no prescription and no call. What type of business is this?! I never experience anything like this in my life and I paid my money to wait a whole month and no lenses! I even ask for the corporate # she told me they didnt hAve one. This is crazy!

I absolutely loved this clinic! Staff was very accommodating, I did not have an appointment and they were able to take BOTH my husband and I in right away. I love that they are open 7 days a week because I work full time and have 3 kids, so its hard enough finding the time. The equipment is top notch, the tech used the latest Optomap on me, looked like something from a Starwars movie. As far as the Doctor, I saw Doctor Tomy and both my husband and I loved him. He had great bed-side manners and helped me get treated for dry eyes. They have a machine at their Galleria location that gets rid of dry eyes and I have done 2 treatments already, it is so so incredible, no joke! I can finally say that I got relief from dry-eye once and for all!!! Definitely will be coming back from my yearly visits.

Went last July and had a great experience. Ordered refill of contacts six months later which took THREE MONTHS to get, and then the contacts they gave me were wrong. Wouldn’t replace and would help me. Told me I had a medical issue, when I don’t, told me I need an appointment, then told me they didn’t take my insurance when it hasn’t changed from last July. Waste of money— waste of time— no help.Avoid!!!!

I called on a Friday and was ready to go but I was told not to because all of their appointments were booked so walk ins might not be seen. I scheduled for the Sunday afternoon that followed my original call. I showed up for my appointment and there were 12 or more people in the waiting area to get an exam. I checked in and told the receptionist I had a 2:30 appointment and asked how long before I’ll be seen. I was told I would have to wait several hours because all the people in the waiting area were there before me. I again said I have a 2:30 appointment. I was told I should have showed up earlier because they take customers first come first served.Why get an appointment. I will never return and LensCrafters has lost all of my business also.

To start, I hadn’t seen an eye doctor in years before my visit with Dr. Young and didn’t know what to expect. I was quickly greeted by the professional front desk staff and felt more at ease after Briana answered my questions about the exam. When Dr. Young came into the room, she greeted me with a bright smile that calmed my nerves. She was extremely thorough but efficient and you can tell she loves what she does. One of the techs, Aaliyah, explained the retinal screening and I opted to get it done. Dr. Young went over my pictures with me and showed visual examples of eye diseases. I’ve never had any doctor take the time to fully explain what they were looking for with me and I really appreciated it. I highly recommend this office to anyone and I’ll definitely be coming back in a year per Dr. Young’s recommendation.

TL;DR- Front staff dont know HIPAA- Be prepared to wait, they over book even when you have an appointment- Definitely avoid Dr. Jayson Tomy (your appointment will take less time than you took waiting)- Wont bother recommending family or students to come train here based on how the owners teach their staff.--I started coming here back in 2017 because many of my friends recommended coming here and a few of them even spent time working at this office. My first couple of visits were fine, ended up bringing my entire family of 6 here every years to get our eyes checked. They always have a problem with over-booking appointments, making you wait at least 10-20 minutes even if you already have an appointment on the books.Last year, I had an issue with one of the front desk staff who did not understand HIPAA rules at all. I had asked about getting my script sent to my email for my records, and she said it was against HIPAA, which is a straight lie. Ive gotten it via email from my other optometrists in the past, and its outlined by the FTC that I can choose to have my script sent electronically if I request and acknowledge it. I let it slide because clearly she was a young student who hopefully will learn correct HIPAA compliance in the future.But in 2021, even if theres a pandemic, its reckless to over-schedule your appointments and have your tiny hallway waiting area full. Its just careless to employ an optometrist who spends barely 5 minutes to do your eye exam. Dr. Jayson Tomy came in and did not disinfect the eye piece of the phoropter between my exam and my sisters and took barely 5 minutes on the visual acuity (when the doctor changes the lens and has you read the line for sharpness/accuracy). He changed the lens faster than I could even adjust my eyes to see the letters and was ready to move on to the next power before I even got a chance to answer. For my sister, when she struggled with a letter and then got it wrong, he then ended the exam, said she did a great job, and just proceeded to write her script.He spent no time explaining how she missed one letter but his reasoning why it was okay (which some of my optometrist in this office have done) but worse - HE DIDNT TEST ANOTHER LINE OF LETTERS TO BE SURE.He didnt offer to re-test my sister with another set of letters, and when I asked, he changed the letters BEFORE she took off her glasses and had the phoropter up to her eyes. I had to ask him, which proceeded in him giving a mansplaining vibe as he began to talk about his experience with a proportion of his patients mixing up Os and Cs and then talking about the psychology of the brain. The way he presented it wouldve scared off anyone without a background in science. It was the perfect example for poor bedside manner without empathy.Just because most of your patients exhibit that finding doesnt mean that my sister will be the same. The least you could do another test to confirm if youre already going so quickly. 5 years of experience should not be an excuse to be sloppy.His staff also did not wipe down the spoon before changing between my sister and I in the room. Sure, we may be from the same family, but during a pandemic, I would hope they put more emphasis on patient care and sanitization over seeing too many patients that they have to cut exam times to see all the patients they overbooked.If you must come here, try to schedule with Dr. Ho. Shes taken great care of myself and my parents for multiple years and takes her time, explains what shes doing, and addresses when her patients struggle and choosing a different line of letters to confirm and try to assess sharpness. And most importantly, even before the COVID pandemic, she was wiping down all the equipment before I put my face on it, even if my family was in the room and up next for the appointment.

I am writing this as we are waiting. My husband had a 3:15 PM appointment. It is now 4:10 & we are still WAITING. It appears but I could be wrong people are going back who came after us. I was told 30 plus minutes ago he was next. We are still waiting and other people have went back. If I could give no stars I would. If they hadnt tested his eyes we would have left.WE WILL NOT BE BACK... WE will go back to BEYOND EYE IN TARGET...

Could NOT be happier! The entire staff are truly concerned about providing the best options for your eyesight. As a new patient I was not expecting the service of my former eye Dr. (who closed their practice) to be matched. This office has surpassed my former Drs service and attention! They are crazy busy but have an amazing efficiency routine which allows them to spend time with you yet get you in and out quickly. I am not one to write reviews but it is my pleasure to say that you will NOT be disappointed!

In midst of everything going on - this happened PRIOR - had horrible time getting Eye prescription to pharamacy! Sent 3 different times and pharmacy still didnt get a response as to specs on prescription - THEN had a return appt - sent confirmation text and email - never responded to emails! EVEN THOUGH they clearly asked us to email them with questions and/or concerns...NO RESPONSE! Im done with this place... no courtesy whatsoever to matters at hand even though we are in the midst of health issues right now - the eyes are just as important so youd think that they would accommodate!

Excellent experience! Staff and Dr. H were very professional and office has a nice contemporary design. Glad they have state of the art equipment and lots of experience, because they found a small hole in my retina, which explained the bright, comet-like, streaks Ive recently been seeing. I was educated on what this meant, and given options to treat it. Definitely will be going back and bringing my family as well!

I highly recommend coming here. I scheduled my appointment online early Friday morning, I was able to be seen same day. (Loved the convenience of last minute scheduling) FYI walk ins are welcome!!. Aside from this, the doctor and staff are amazing!! Very nice and attentive, take time in explaining every step of your eye exam thoroughly. Loving the Optomap by the way, as I dislike the dilation part. If you also dislike, I recommend the optomap!! Fast picture of the back of the eye and you avoid all the side effects from the dilation!. I will be coming back and recommending friends and family here... 👌👌

The so called office manager Ashley messed up my order after I repeatedly told her Dr. Chau prescribed me a different set of contacts. Not only was she inconsistent and inconsiderate, she refused to give me her last name or the phone number to her regional manager. Now she is saying they will order me 2 months supply of contacts and I should be good. This is unacceptable seeing that I’ve already paid in full and repeatedly asked her to confirm my prescription and total. Then she proceeds to tell me mistakes happen and this woman is working in health care. I’m very unhappy and feel uncomfortable with this location at Willowbrook Mall now. On top of that this location called my phone and hung up like. This is rude and very unprofessional. By the way, guess who still doesn’t have any contacts. 👀

In complete transparency, the here doctors are great, and maybe that all that matters,However, the front desk staff needs more training in customer service, insurance billing and knowledge of their product offering. If the would just do what they say and return a phone call and follow-up with the customers it would be a great first step.

Im not sure how these people have such a high rating...Ok I went to them for an eye exam paid for glasses etc....Now yes I know I shouldve known something was really off, but me I hate seeing doctors so I never returned. Ok I got my glasses too help me alternate with my contacts. So back to these glasses mind you I could never really see with them on so I continued to wear my contacts. So the day Im at work I have my glasses and Im like man 6 months still cant see well. So I get another eye exam....WOW come to find out their Doctor had my prescription at a -4.25 current doctor was like WHAT your a -2.50 now I know why I couldnt see. So yes I take blame shouldve went back but if your doctor is doing exams and is that wrong OMG...ooh a d here is another kicker I supposedly had progressive lenses NOT so not only was my prescription WAY OFF they didnt even make the Correct Lenses...Well only good thing I got nice frames wish I could give a BIG ZERO...

Unacceptable incompetent front desk. Ive been coming to this location for five years now but as of this last eye exam Im very displeased and will never come back after they rectify my situation. I requested a contact and glass exam. Get to the front desk and price contacts. I called back to order and was told I never got a contact exam BUT at the end of the exam was quoted a contact price. Sounds very very fishy and like fraud. Ill be requesting my entire chart and handing it over to a friend thats an eye doctor to look over it.

Dr Haghighi is a knowledgeable competent eye Dr who answers questions and is a good listener. He prescribed glasses & contact lenses for both my daughter & me. The staff here is incredible! Dr Emil Fadel is the owner of several practices besides this one. Hes very amicable. Note - this practice is under new management so Dr Ha and her staff are not associated with this business. Trust me go here!
