We happened to be in the area and wifey and I love to try new non-chain java joints. Black Rock makes some very good frozen blended drinks. My wife went with a mocha one and I opted for a latte blended one, we couldnt figure out which was better. We were amazed at how fast the drinks came out, great service, well be back.

$2 happy hour!!!😋😋 can’t get better than that. This was my first time here and I tried the Mexican mocha blended and it was absolutely delicious. This is a perfect spot to study for school.

The cafe door opened, and the aroma of coffee beans wafted into the street. The smell was intoxicating, and I could feel my cheeks flush with excitement. Love this place.

Was in Houston on business. Someone recommended meeting here. The picture shows my sweet tea that I ordered. Obviously there must be a tea shortage here....Ive had tap water with more flavor than this $3.00 sweet tea. Lesson learned!

Nice little coffee shop with a very indie feel. Good ambiance, with some music playing but not so loud that you couldnt talk. It was pretty empty when I walked in at 7:30, but the tables were mostly full by the time I left. The migas breakfast taco was pretty good and I enjoyed my chai latte.

Black Rock Coffee Bar is a great place for a quick caffeine induced potion! I usually come here to get some work done and their vibe is pretty chill with nice music.

Nice assortment of their in house energy drinks, try the orange flavor. Almond croissant has a filling inside it. Coffee has good flavor. Servers are nice. Happy hours from 2 to 6 pm and digital punch card gives 11th drink for free. Location is good, nice interior but highway noise makes it a bit noisy.

I have ordered from Black Rock a few times through Uber eats and enjoyed most of the options so when I was in the area on an errand I thought it would be a great chance to stop and see the place. There was a bit of a line for the drive through but it moved very quickly. The staff is pleasant and friendly without it feeling forced. Much better coffee than some other extremely prolific coffee bars and better value too. Theres a good select of sugar free options as well.

Black Rock has been my caffeine pit stop whenever I travel down south. Conveniently located right off the freeway. Their customer service has been exceptional whether its in the lobby or the drive-thru. Ive always received prompt service and delicious beverages. They have tons of seasonal drinks, and a wide selection of the classics. Open seating and nice aesthetics sets this place apart from most places. Not a bad place to spend an evening with company, or finish up some work.

It’s so nice to have a cool coffee shop like this so close to home. We are so happy we found them.

Really fun environment, small menu but everything Ive had is good.

Came here for the first time and got a latte and a peach smoothie. Drinks were very good; the smothie was like a peach version of a dreamcicle. Atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. Service was fast and friendly; the staffer who helped us was knowledgable and helpful. Great place to hang out and chill.

Cool and modern coffee bar! Very nice decor. You feel like you are in a very upscale environment. Nice staff, oh yeah and they have pretty decent coffee too ☕

Absolutely fabulous the coffee was delicious the people were polite the atmosphere was overwhelmingly positive the chairs were comfortable I wish they had one in every part of the world.

Great coffee. I really enjoy going to get drinks when im on this side of town. It is worth it! The staff always greets us warmly. Makes you feel like family.

When I dont want GIANT CORPORATION coffee (14,904 locations as of 8/21), I go to this much smaller corporation coffee (3 Houston locations). I really like the Mexican Mocha, it is chocolate and cinnamon. Latte and drip coffee are as good as any youll find. The patio faces the toll road, so I dont know how nice it is to sit around there on a pretty day.

Super yummy! The guy who helped my sister and I was super nice and helpful. Told us it was our first time, gave great recommendations and let us know it was happy hour. Totally recommend, i got a chiller and it tasted like coffee instead of straight sugar, which is a great thing.

My favorite coffee bar!!! As a girl from AZ, I’m so glad they finally followed me to Houston! The Carmel Blondie is the best! I get it with an extra shot of espresso.

Stopped in today for the 1st time. Was very impressed with the cleanliness, friendliness, seating options and especially the coffee choices and pricing. Will definitely be stopping by more often.

Coffee good... food seems brought in and menu is only their coffee drinks.In was told there were tacos and kolaches. Both with i like but having to order via 10 options being verbalized to me is difficult. Tacos were brought from Del Taco, so if you like their tacos hes a spot for you to get em.Drip and taco cost me 6 bucks.

TLDR: A nice and modern coffee shop. Open and with a vast potential to be a great social gathering spot once COVID is over.Irish coffee - I wish it would be the adult drink, but it is not bad either. The coffee is a little on the sweet side. As with any coffee shop, the barista can help you with the sweetness level.The openness of the shop and the outdoor seating area make it great for the COVID era. Not sure about how people feels about sitting outside next to a major interstate highway.

Love this coffee shop. Great coffee mixes hot or cold. My Bible study group enjoys meeting here. Nice service. Always clean.

I come here a lot, I wanted to try something that was different than Starbucks and Dunkin’. I love coming here I don’t know about the wait, I seem to come after 3 and there is never a wait. Which is awesome the baristas are really nice and good at recommending a drink. So far my go too drink is the Carmel Truffle or Carmel Blondie. For me it’s easy to get points to get a free drink.

Great service by a friendly team. I evacuated form new orleans and was on the road for 17 hours. Got up the next day and found this little gem. Great coffee and a friendly team. Ill be back every day as long as Im here. Thx guys

Even though I came in 10 minutes before closing the guy at the front was so nice and he took the time to tell me everything that they had and he was excited to chat. They have so many sugar-free options and dairy free options which is really important to me. It seems like a good place to get some work done also and they have their own energy drinks which is cool.

I pretty much in their drive thru every day, sometimes twice so I can hit up happy hour. Great coffee and the staff is Chick-fil-A level nice.

Very awesome ambiance, drive through convenience and selections for the drinks and food. However, the food could be warmed up a little more in my personal opinion. Was a little cold.

Ordered via Door Dash today. First time customer. GREAT coffee ☕! They followed instructions, coffee was hot and the smoothie I ordered for my daughter was delicious. Hope they add pastries to their delivery menu soon. Cant wait to go to the store in person!

Cute place with plenty of seating for casual get-togethers or an intimate business meeting. Ordered an iced Americano that was perfect, but I definitely want to try some of the other espresso based drinks there next time. Their pastries looked pretty good, too.

I like the layout of the Cafe. Very open and good amount of seating. Got the nitro cold brew which was ok. First time having ice in a nitro so that was interesting.

I don’t understand why this caffe is so pricey and is just powder not even real coffee. Also the tip. Why can’t their boss pay them. I dislike paying and tipping for a bo service. Let them do their job like everyone else. I buy a coffee everyday, I don’t feel like tipping every time.

Wow! Happened upon this on the way back to my hotel, and it was AH-MAZING! I got the Mexican mocha (fashioned like a Mexican hot chocolate) and my husband got the Irish coffee. Both were so good! The barista/drive-thru employee was super friendly, too! I’m excited Houston is opening a new location soon because this greatness needs to be shared with more people. :)

Starbucks has polite customer service and they offer coffee refills, both of which Black Rock does not. Save your money, spend it at Starbucks or literally anywhere else

Friendly staff. Theyll make conversation with you as you wait for your drink so they can get a chance to know you VS Starbucks. Drinks are unique and delicious! Also, theyll have specials like BOGOs and happy hour!

Amazing coffee, amazing staff, and awesome hours! (Opens at 5 am to 9 pm). Plentiful seating inside or drive through. It’s clean inside and they follow social distancing guidelines. They also have good specials, which you can see on their Facebook page. Highly recommend this coffee shop!

This little coffee shop is wonderful! Its indoor outdoor set up is really comfortable and its drinks are yummy.

Dont order coffee here if you take it black. Not the vibe youre looking for. Also in the multitude of LED lights, one of them is flickering.

We love this place!!! Not only is it the closest coffee drive through for miles (thank you Jesus!!) the coffee is insanely good and the service is quick and friendly and awesome. My only suggestion is (and I hope someone important sees this) you need to up your sweets game!!! Usually when I’m hitting up a drive through for coffee it’s in the afternoon, and you don’t want a muffin or a kolache with your 2pm coffee. You want a cookie or a cake pop or something sweet! When I expressed my surprise at the lack of baked goods to the barista, he said that he hears that all the time from people but doesn’t know who to tell. So I’m posting it here!! I’ll keep coming back regardless but I’d be a much happier customer with some better snack options, especially when my kiddos are in the car.

Great gem my girlfriend found i got the Blondie and my girlfriend got the truffle frap we also got a orange and cranberry i believe muffin and i went with original blueberry muffin everything was perfect atmosphere good place to bring a laptop and watch stocks and what not. Give it a shot!

Not a good place to get work done - music is very loud and dancey. Also the AC is WAY too cold - bring a winter jacket ⛄️

Nice looking place.Cold croissant tasted store bought and had no lamination what so ever. I wasnt even given the option to have it warmed up.I get croissants at the bakery/cafe near my home. Baked fresh. So having this instead was a huge waste of my croissant caloriesAlso who asks for tips at a drive thru. Thought it was weird.Might come back for coffee and update my review.Looks like a nice place. But they need to do better with pastries. This wasnt good at all.

Opening week and what an amazing experience already! Ordered an Oreo Chiller and it was just the perfect blend of Oreo/coffee. Would definetly be back again since it is right off the beltway heading home.Also ordered a blueberry muffin that was well worth the price!

Fours stars because I would continue to go back as well as refer my friends and family there. Chic ambiance and clean.Maybe it’s my fault for not asking but there wasn’t a variety of brewing methods offered nor beans. Not a big deal for causal coffee drinkers but then I’m confused as to why it’s a coffee “bar”? Again, maybe it’s me. The cortado I ordered was good though but with a slight burntness at the end.
