Stopped by for lunch during restaurant week/month. $20 lunch was pretty stellar for what you got.I got the brisket ravioli. I have had it before as an appetizer at dinner. I knew it would be good. Kind of mushroom wine gravy on top, gravy was light though so wasn’t too full for main.Butcher Burger! Was humongous. Had to take off the bun 1/3 of the way through. Glad I did because the burger itself was delicious. Really fresh beef seasoned well.Also if a must is the thick cut bacon appetizer. It’s insane and could potentially be a meal by itself.

Absolute First Class. The meal was delicious. The atmosphere was filled with finely dressed young professionals. The staff was polite, efficient and pleasant to be around. I can not wait to go back again.

My experience a bb butchers was the best I may have ever had. From the food to the service. The place was packed but didnt take away from the quality of service. From the bread at the beginning to the dessert at the end every dish was amazing. You will spend at least $150 on dinner for 2 but you get what you pay for.

Ambiance is rustic as one might expect from the restaurants name and its exterior. Nice table spacing: youll not overhear other conversations while you have your own. Service was outstanding -- both personal and professional. The food is incredible. They offer a very wide variety of dishes (many forms of meat) and expert detail is give to the side dishes as well. The Peach Melba was amazing -- the best since my days in Paris. This place is on our list for future dining.

I want to start by saying that b&b always has the absolute best service I have ever encountered. I have been there a few times at this point. As a top 10% Google reviewer for restaurants I can say that I have never ran into better customer service. For appetizer we ordered the brisket ravioli this came with an amazing gravy sauce. 4 raviolis stuffed with brisket and a few sauteed baby mushrooms. For the main we ordered the 16oz steak prime rib medium rare this arrived quickly as did our sides loaded mashed potatoes and becon Mac and cheese. Please note that any side you order is enough for two people maybe three. Normally one side order can fill your & your partners plate 2x. The 16oz was completed to satisfaction without any issues the sauce for it was horseradish and it was delicious. All sides were wonderful always a recommended location make sure you make a reservation.

I ordered medium rare and they brought it out medium. The second one was brought out rare and then I asked to cook it just a bit and it was brought out cooked more than the first one. The manager really went above and beyond trying to make it right. Im willing to give them another try on another night to see if a medium rare ribeye can be achieved because I know they can do it.My girlfriends all had a great meal, no problems, and I got to partake. Yum! The only way I describe the ricotta is to say that it was like how i feel about Jack Black. You start off not really being that impressed by once you give it a moment it really surprises and delights you.

Food was amazing! Waiter and servers were fantastic. I had the filet with truffle butter and my wife had the steak a la berg. Both were really good but the filet was over the top tender and juicy. Were started with the steakhouse salad and the meatballs. I would go back just for the meatballs. We finished with the NY cheesecake and chocolate cake.

We came here for our anniversary, ordered beef wellington and Colorado lamb. Both dishes was delicious with fine presentation. The duxelles on beef wellington ton was spot on, meet was tender, topped with foie gras, overall a well made dish. The Colorado lamb came with a slice of bacon, and jello sauce. Although I think the bacon was salty for my taste, the sweet sauce did a good job enhancing the dish, when I eat everything together it was perfect.Service was great. Both of our servers was very welcoming. Making our dinner a great experience.

This was an extra special treat for my birthday. My wife and I had a gift card and made reservations to dine here to start my birthday weekend off right! The service was impeccable. They were very attentive and friendly.Our server is a Veteran, just as I am, and he was a real treat to chat with. He made great drink recommendations!For a starter we tried their Wagyu Carpaccio. The meat was so tender and flavorful. The Parmesean flakes added a great saltiness to it. The greens were fresh and crisp. The dressing added a nice added flavor to it all.For our plates I tried their Beef Wellington. The beef was cooked to perfection and the foie gras was deliciously cooked and added a great added flavor. The pastry crust was crisp, flakey, and buttery! It was amazing.My wife got their 20 oz Wagyu Ribeye cooked to just below medium rare, and it was perfect. So tender you could use a bitter knife. She got the Truffle butter to go on top, which was super savory!We split the Brussel sprouts for the side, which were incredibly delicious.For dessert they treated us to a bread pudding for my birthday, which was a perfect finish to the meal! Nice and hot, super sweet, and amazing!

Michael always waited on us and he was amazing.Food is always consistent, they never get my steak temperature wrong and the service is impeccable. I came back to Houston to take a relative here for their birthday. She was highly impressed with the quality of steaks and the bacon. They carry SRF products here! 😍Tonight Saul and Jared did an amazing job. Other servers stopped by to say hello to us as well. Thanks for always making this a great dining experience for each guests I bring.

Amazing food and atmosphere. I’m no foodie by any means but they definitely have the best steaks I’ve ever had. The service is great and the view from the upstairs patio is pretty cool. Makes for a gorgeous backdrop during dinner. Be warned, this place is somewhat expensive but definitely worth a visit.

Our experience was great as always! We had a small incident with the stake being a little on the well done side. But William was able to correct everything by bring out a whole new dish that was cooked perfectly. He and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to ensure an absolutely wonderful dinning experience. Can’t get any better than this!

A lovely and beautiful place from the crisp cloth dinner napkins to the large windows and excellent lighting and professional staff. I had the small filet mignon, asparagus and garlic smashed taters...omg it was all delish and double delish!! The desert I chose was creme brulee and it with the coffee were excellent.The only thing I would not get again is the bacon... and I love bacon but this was too fatty for my taste..the slices are way big. Overall a great experience.. last but not least it was great to have a shuttle to and from the Astros game tonight.

I have dined at B&B in the past and have always had a great experience; I did have an unfortunate reaction to some food last time. I’m sure it was because it was so delicious/rich (there’s no way it was a cleaning problem, that place is spotless) my tummy was not ready! I reached out to their Instagram and they forwarded my information to Keith (GM) and he took care of it — I really appreciate how professional and courteous he was. Sometimes the true measure of leadership is fixing an issue with the customer in a manner that brings further revenue in the future and truly he did it so well that I will continue to bring my friends and family.

Minus 1 for the slow service. The food was pretty sublime(!), although the steak salad starter should be served with warm, not cold, steak imo. But the meats were as good as I’d heard! The drinks were good, and the creme brûlée dessert was just right. Unfortunately, the service was slow and it took forever to get our food, even though the place wasn’t too busy and we had a 6pm mid-week reservation. One of our sides didn’t even arrive until we were halfway through the meal. I’m sorry, but for a $150 per person tab I want better service.

The service here is really next level. The food is also on another level - the butcher’s butter is honestly the most tender steak I’ve ever had. The creamed spinach is the best creamed spinach I’ve had in my life. The berry butter cake is an outrageously delicious dessert. Good wine selection. Again, the service was really awesome too. Five stars all the way.

My family and I enjoyed one of the best brunch experiences weve ever had today at B&B Butchers. The service was extremely attentive and knowledgeable, Covid restrictions were strictly followed, and each dish was delicious.

Great atmosphere and the staff, especially my server Miguel, were very friendly and accommodating. However, I was a little sad about the very salty sirloin steak I had. It was obvious they seasoned the steak after cooking; it was hard to finish. The rest of my dinner was fantastic.

B&B is one of the best - if not THE best - steakhouse in Houston. I took my family there on a Tuesday night and the service was incredible and food just amazing. Such tremendous steaks, but lots of other tasty options too. You really can’t miss here. Great for business lunches too, especially if you work downtown.

I haven’t even set foot in their restaurant. But this picture of a completely burnt piece of meat already scared me off. It is one of their own menu pictures on their website. Imagine the taste of that in your mouth, let alone the fact that burnt meat is carcinogenic.

Absolutely delicious and fantastic service. Well worth the cost. I had the B&B Hash for brunch and it was delicious; the eggs were poached perfectly. I also had the French Diplomat to drink and it was also delicious.The service throughout the meal was also excellent. Our waiter checked on us frequently, without being overbearing and our drinks were always taken care of.I definitely recommend coming here for brunch! (or any meal really)

This was our first visit to B&B. The food was fantastic and the staff were all very friendly as well as attentive. They offer valet parking but there is also additional parking just north of the restaurant. The interior a lovely modern brick and iron theme and the upstairs patio is perfectly shaded with great green elements and views of downtown. With misting fans and patio cover it was a very comfortable experience, sheltering us from Houston mid-day heat.

I absolutely enjoyed my birthday dinner at this beautiful restaurant. Francis was the absolute best and he made sure that my girlfriends and I were pleased and laughing! I would recommend based on Francis alone but the bacon is to die for!

Best steak I have ever had! They made a cocktail I requested to perfection. The wine suggestions were paired perfectly. Service was impeccable. Atmosphere was fun and vibrant. Nice atmosphere and ambiance. Have visited for both weekend brunch or dinner. Bar is small so make sure to make a reservation for a table in the main dining area. The restaurant has a nice size wine collection too choose from. A signature appetizer is the wrapped shrimp. Simply amazing, all flavors they offer. Steaks are good quality and sides are generous.

Very nice place, but also VERY expensive! The food is good, but......in my opinion, not as good as the prices indicate. I had their burger. I was disappointed because it was dry and didnt come with lettuce, tomatoes, etc. Unfortunately, it was filled cooked rather than the medium I asked for. The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable, but the service was slow. Despite everything, glad I visited the restaurant and tried something new.

This was out first time dining at the Houston location, but Francis Carneiro, the manager, treated us like family and our server, Hamid, made sure everything was perfect.

I went to B&B Butchers and Restaurant during Houston Restaurant Week 2020. This was my first time going to this restaurant. The food selection was supreme and the wait staff was super attentive and nice. There was no issue with the food, it was delicious and came out fast. The only issue I had with my whole experience was with the hosts. As I waited for my table, the hosts would speak negatively about the people coming into the restaurant. When customers would walk in, the hosts would say things such as “I hate when people are late”, “It would be great if people were on time”. Although these statements may be true, as being punctual is important, it would be best if these comments were said in the back and not in front of customers whether they are walking by or waiting for a table. In spite of that, I definitely recommend this place!

B&B is top notch. The food is amazing, and the service is great. My only complaint is the hosts can be a little snarky and uneasy. We have have been about 20 times, and I can only remember two times when they were polite and courteous.

The food was fantastic. We went for HRW for a friends birthday. We were all satisfied with the menu and each of the dishes. The wine was also excellent. The bussing and valet services were quick and efficient.Our only issue was the service. We were quick to order, but our waitress was very neglectful. Even at 11 PM as one of the only tables left, she was nowhere to be found and constantly forgot things that we requested. She didn’t seem in tune with usual steakhouse service. I asked for my steak to be cooked at chefs recommendation, but she looked at me like I was crazy and told me I had to choose. Her tone varied from snappy and abrasive when requesting our IDs (we’re mid 30s) to sticky sweet patronizing. These are just a couple small examples to show the consistent misunderstandings we had throughout dinner. We felt uncomfortable with her and it affected our meal.I do highly recommend B&B, but I hope they vet or train their servers more thoroughly for a true steakhouse experience.

Wow , this place is amazing, Ceaser salad was excellent, corn soufflé, asparagus, bone in ribeye , the best steak Ive eaten at a restaurant in years , rack of lamb ribs was really good 👍 , really special place for a night on the town .We will definitely be back.Oh yes they have dessert.Cheese cake was yummy.Berry butter cake very tasty 😋BB lemon is just across the street cant wait to try this place out , looks like a Really Great place also.

This place is on a whole different Gastronomical level. It is above great. The meat comes from their own farm in west Texas. Their worldwide selection of wines guarantees the perfect wine of your preference to complete the meal.

This was our second year in town from DC for the Houston Rodeo. Last year we stumbled upon this magnificent restaurant. Hamid was our delightful waiter and he made perfect recommendations. We started with the B&B Bellini and the 19th hope for drinks. We then got the 3-way Bacon Appetizer. Perfect, Then we got the 40 oz Long-bone medium Rare, perfect! Garlic Mashed Potatoes and roasted Brussel Sprouts. Presentation was excellent! To round it out we got the Key- Lime pie. The atmosphere is awesome, wait staff are professionals who go above and beyond ensuring your satisfaction. I highly recommend this wonderful place!

I went there for restaurant week. The place overall was great. Food and drinks were amazing. The only down side was the service. We were constantly chasing down our waiter. I think throughout the whole dinner he only approached us four times. This became annoying throughout the night

Went to a birthday party here with about 30 people. Rooftop patio, which is covered but some bad leaks when it rained. Staff was great moving people. Choice of 3 meals, vegetables and dessert. Everyone loved the food and wine. Excellent experience. Didnt pay so dont know about prices.

One of the hostesses was being dumb by saying we cannon go to the butcher cause there’s a meeting there, luckily the manager walked by & I asked him, he said we’re more than welcome to do so. The steaks we bought were great, the dry aged cheese was yummy. Now for the restaurant, our waiter was Oscar, he was just amazing, recommending the best dishes and appetizers. Try the lamb bacon, out of this world. We had the ribeye steak, & it was great.

Not a big steakhouse guy. B&B was okay. I went during Houston Restaurant Week and ordered off that menu. I feel like quality goes down during HRW. Would be interested to go for dinner.Also, be sure to make a reservation for the exact amount. They do not do a good job of accommodating any changes to party size. I had to cancel a reservation on one occasion because they couldnt add two people to a reservation. This time, they could accommodate an additional two people, but did not seem thrilled.Ambiance is great. Food is meh.

Very good place! We went for Mother’s Day and it wasn’t completely packed which was nice. The steak had crispy edges which is odd but overall things were good! Only complaint is that our waiter had a mumble voice which made him hard to understand with his mask on. I would still choose The Taste of Texas over them from preference of steak flavor.

Food, atmosphere, and service were all top notch. The wagyu beef is not only actually real wagyu, not Americanized, it was cooked perfectly.

We were very excited to come to this restaurant since we had heard great things about it but unfortunately our first visit turned out to be a negative one. Waiter was rude and he seemed appalled that I asked him if they had sangria. They got our order wrong (steak and eggs), and he had to confirm that we hadn’t made the mistake instead of them. Food was ok but not worth the money. It also made us sick a few hours after we left. Overall this place is over rated and for the price one can get much more and better somewhere else. The nicest thing about this place was the valet personnel and that’s sad.

People seem to love this place and I can’t understand why. We’ve been here a few times now and the service is always cold/borderline rude and the food is just OK. Stopped in this week for an early Father’s Day dinner - arrived at 4 p.m. on a weeknight and the hostess literally rolled her eyes when we told her we didn’t have a reservation. Should’ve taken that as a sign, because the whole family got sick afterward. At this price point, the food and service should blow you away, not give you food poisoning. There are so many amazing steakhouses in this city, but this isn’t one of them.

We have been to B&B Butchers about 5 times in the past year & this was by FAR the worst experience we have had. I gave it 3 stars because the food was really good! However, the waiter ruined our entire experience. We were at the restaurant for 2 hours and he only came to our table THREE TIMES (once to take our appetizer order, once to take our entree order & lastly to pay)!! He was SO incredibly rude. Didnt ask how our food turned out, nor if our steaks were cooked to order. We felt that this was a TRANSACTION & we were not genuinely welcomed to eat here. When you are paying $150+ for your meal, you expect it to be treated like one. Although there was a gentleman in a suit who greeted us as we left & he was very helpful.

Hard to say, first time I went I sat inside for dinner on birthday and it was good experience. The second time I showed up with a colleague who was in town and I wanted to show him a good time. We werent allowed to sit inside, we were taken outside where about 3 flies kept buzzing around and landing on our food. When asked if anything we could do, we were told nothing. The waiters seems more concerned with who got credit for our table because we tried to move to another table outside to avoid flies and it didnt help. My friends prime rib was horrible undercook also. Not very impressed and that 2nd experience really made me question the 1st experience. Maybe we didnt look like we would spend enough? Not good to leave a restaurant with that many questions. Not sure if Id go back.

Don’t bother going to the butcher shop. Just went by to pick up some steaks. I was the only customer there but the butcher wouldn’t help me. After 10 minutes I left. I won’t be back.

It was a nice atmosphere and ambiance.We did have a forgotten item, but we totally understand that things happen. We honestly would not have enjoyed our food as much as we did had we actually received our appetizers, so in retrospect it was actually a good thing. We had the bone in ribeye and it was incredibly tender and the mushroom accompaniment was perfect. (No pictures unfortunately forgot I had a phone when the meal arrived, lol and my husband devoured his!)The managers William and Jeff were both very friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend them for special occasions, or when you just feel like treating yourself to a nice meal!We didn’t get the fancy writing on the plate lol, but it was still a lovely dessert nonetheless!! And one serving proved to be enough for two people!

Great from start to finish, other than not having all of the ingredients for a cocktail on their list it was perfect. . the steak with the foie gras on top is one of the nicest things money can buy.

Lunch:The most outstanding dish was the pan-seared salmon. I don’t recall ever having a more tender piece of salmon in Houston. It was cooked all the way through but remained extremely moist and tender, with almost the give of a medium-density custard.Starters:The hot-out -of-the-oven bread with garlic butter is excellent. The meatballs were too salty. The ravioli was good but not as good as Sorrento’s. The beef and barley soup was good but nothing extraordinary.Entrees:The burger was solid, but doesn’t top the one at Smith and Wollensky (RIP, Htx location). The steak salad was underwhelming.Desserts:The cheesecake is legit and comes on a cool plate with the NY skyline around the edge. The chocolate cake is very chocolatey; I thought it was just right, but others thought it too sweet. It may be a matter of personal preference, but IMO the creme brûlée isn’t as good as the one at La Table, which is more dense and creamy/rich.Service was very good. Parking is valet only in the lot, but there’s enough street parking at lunch.

Such a wonderful weekend brunch experience that we made weekday dinner reservations before leaving the table! The filet mignon is perfect, and the chocolate fondant dessert cannot be missed. The service was friendly and attentive. The manager Mr. McMillan was extraordinarily kind to my mother (we are in town for her treatment at MD Anderson) and gave her his card, so he could personally greet us when we come back. Valet parking is even complimentary. 10/10.

Well what can you say about that? Birthday dinner total success an amazing evening. From the waite staff to management to the excellent food and atmosphere a true dinning experience. We loved it and will return soon. A must Houston dinning experience great for that special occasion.

We (group of co-workers/friends) visited for Houston Restaurant week. This place is outstanding. The wait staff down to the presentation of the food. Be warned dress code is more upscale/business dress. We found out the hard way that we were underdressed. However no one made us feel unwelcome. Overall I rate this place 5 stars. Best thing on menu, Bacon appetizer.
