If I could give this company no stars I absolutely would. My husband (who is a welder by trade) applied for a Technician Helper position at Blue Star Beverage Supply and was contacted today 02/10/2020 by a someone (assuming this was Pete Paez) who questioned my husband as to why he applied for this position. However, instead of calling and genuinely asking questions to find out if my husband could be a good fit, he berated him and belittled him. This is not acceptable. I have never in my life ever heard of a company bashing someone for trying to find a new career or make a change in their life. You never know if he could have been a great employee for you. But what really gets me about the whole thing is that on their website, they have pictures of welders installing beverage stations. Sooooo what your telling me is that you have welders, but you dont want this welder. I am not sure what the deal is with this company but my husband is in a protected class and I will be filing a complaint for violation of his civil rights. Good luck to anyone that decides to work for this company.

If youre a technician stay away from this business!1st, you are not guaranteed a steady check. You are expected to wait near your tablet all day (without pay) in the hope of receiving a call. The 4 months I worked here, I only reached 40 hours in a working week 3x and was never offered benefits from the company.2nd, the company changes your hours without your consent or knowledge. Many guys took screenshots of their clock-ins and clock-outs only to find out on there check did not match. The paycheck stub you get does not show your actual punchs. The company also only pays overtime after 80 hours and not 40. They will work you more one week and cut your hours the next to avoid paying you overtime.3rd, Pete Paez may just be the biggest joke of a supervisor I have ever witnessed or worked for. Constantly screaming, cussing, micro-managing everything you do. Your experience does not matter to him one bit and he doesnt want your input. The man openly talked about serving 21 years in prison and currently blowing into a device to start the company truck due to a recent DWI arrest. Yet the man will openly question your judgement skills...He cares more about getting a job done than doing it safely to the point I thought about contacting OSHA on numerous occasions.Last I will add this, the company has many good hardworking people in it and is owned by a good man in Jim. Unfortunately, the people that need to be supervising are held down by a dictator with terrible character flaws.

I started working for Jim with an understanding that I would be given advanced notice if I was going to be asked to go out of town. First they changed the on call schedual out of the blue and put me on call the second week I started. Then after working an 11 hour day they threw a call on me for a city 2.5 hours away. After explaining I couldnt go cause they gave no advanced notice, I was terminated. This company did not live up to their agreement. Plus my pay check was screwed up first pay period, then I was forced to borrow money against my next pay check. I would have gone a full month before I recived a full paycheck.
