Update: Mr. Greg Smith responded to this review and his words were nice but there has been no action. I have emailed him and called Gulf and Basco many times, no answer. No one has been sent out to come fix the windows. I will keep trying to get a time scheduled.I ordered windows from Gulf and Basco for my new construction in Sept 2020 and they were installed in Jan 2021. These windows are good quality and impact resistant meant for hurricanes. When the windows were installed I noticed 6 of the windows did not open. The windows on the order form were for these windows to open. They took 2 months to send out someone to fix it and only after I filed a complaint to the BBB. They sent one worker to fix them, he was not able to fix them, he was sent with the wrong product to fix the issue. After another month of calling, they finally sent out another worker to try again. He was not able to as well and said that it was a two person job. Well a couple of days later, a two person crew came out to fix it and they were not able to and even shattered the window in the process. Now it has been two months later and I have yet to hear from Gulf and Basco about a solution. They do not even have the courtesy to answer my calls. Now we are in hurricane season, this can result in serious damage to me and my family. Do not do business with them. I am a small business owner myself and I would never leave a client dissatisfied for months.

Not recommended. Called to get window warranty for broken seal, was told I was non-emergency condition. After waiting a few months, reached back out again, I was told I needed to pay to have warranty honored. Really bad service and highly recommend you avoid.

Horrible customer service, never answer the phone during posted business hours, and don’t return calls when you do finally get to an employee. If you are considering using this company- I advise you to take your dollars elsewhere. I would give 0 stars if possible.

Awful service -- I started a warranty claim in March for 5 windows with seal failure and one cracked glass over my entry door. The cracked glass above my entry door was supposed to be tempered glass according to code, but they installed the wrong glass (annealed glass) causing large shards to fall that could have caused serious injury. Once I finally got ahold of someone at Gulf & Basco they admitted the wrong glass was installed but still insisted on charging me to replace... I said fine, paid for the correct glass and labor in advance per their warranty guidelines -- Since paying in full they have rescheduled my install date 3 times with NO communication -- they simply DONT show up and it takes weeks to get them to reply to phone calls / emails. Its now July 26th and I havent heard from anyone since July 7th... Multiple emails and calls with NO REPLY -- I EXPECT someone from Management to reach out to make this right!

Poor customer service, and follow up.Waited 2 weeks for a Quote, then another 4 weeks for clarification on the quote. Then was told the repair to the window and trim would be 15 weeks out.....when I responded with my frustration to the time delay and that it was already 6 weeks + because of their poor customer response time and customer service; I was asked what do I want them to do.Their poor customer service is a reflection of the Custom Home builder we chose whom uses them, Sierra Classic.

My builder used this company for windows - We have a couple of broken window pulleys and the window does not close correctly. They are not doing any repairs now unless it is an emergency. So outside air has been coming into the house for months. Finally, called again and they told my wife they do not service any of their windows if over 10 years old. (Wish they had told me this months ago)Just know that they will not support their product or service it after 10 years. It is extremely hard to get someone at this company on the phone. When you call Sales - you leave a message. Surprised that this company is still in business.

I placed an order of New Construction windows with this company back in July 2020. Because of the pandemic we understood it was going to take longer than usual. The original shipment date was 10/23/20 but they pushed it back to 11/13/20 then the sales representative called and told us they were going to be delivered 11/26/20 to their facility and were going to deliver to our address on 12/1/20. “The windows are on the truck coming from Arizona” - was told by the sales representative. I get a call this morning, 11/25/20 and was told the order was pushed another two weeks. I told them to just give me my money back. This is ridiculous, they couldn’t tell me what was the issue this time. When their accounting department called to give me the refund, they were very rude and refunded my money to the wrong credit card. Didn’t give me a chance to explain my self and hung up the phone. I had to call back to speak to the accounting manager and explain how the transaction was done back on July so they could do the refund the correct way.This whole company is a joke and I regret the day I put foot in there to place my window order for my new construction.

Was really hoping for the best with our service request to replace our windows from our builder Plantation Homes. Had no concerns with requesting the warranty service and follow up until 2 days before our scheduled appointment I discovered the reviews on this company. We were scheduled for May 14, 2021 to have 8 of our failed windows replaced. I read the many negative reviews and warned my husband we might have problems after reading all the negative experiences from other customers. On May 13th at 3:00 pm, I received an email saying our order had not come in and our appointment would be pushed 2 weeks to May 28th. On May 27th I called and emailed looking for confirmation that our scheduled appointment was still on for May 28th. I received an email about 3:00 pm saying our windows are on Back Order and the appointment has been moved 30 days away to June 30th. This is not looking good. I can only hope now that when the windows eventually come in and they eventually show up to install the correct window size of the windows have been ordered based on the measurements from their technician that was paid to come out and measure the windows accurately. Stay tuned for an update.

This company installed the windows in my home when it was built in 2014, so the builder DR Horton directed me to contact Gulf & Basco regarding replacement. So weve been trying to get this done since January 2020. My patience is wearing thin..as after the technician came out to measure and diagram the windows they have been out to our home 3 additional times, 2x the windows didnt fit. 1x they brought the wrong window. We were scheduled for an install today between 8AM and 12 noon, and its 11:57 central time so my husband is on the phone right now. He was just told that the technicians left late this morning and the system is down so no one can tell us which technician has our ticket.This is so ridiculous.

I have remodeled 3 homes over 5 years. Purchases I made at G&B - 2 full kitchens, 1 bathroom, windows in 3 homes, all appliances in 1 home. They have good ideas and design - at least the individual I worked mostly with although she retired in 2019. The quality is good, especially then the price is considered. Quality and price for windows is excellent. Execution for my jobs was poor - really poor. From unreliable and uncommunicative delivery scheduling/logistics, errors in measuring my kitchen dimensions that caused considerable redesign and rework, to general responsiveness of the staff. My good experience contact retired so I dont think I will go back to them for anything but windows - their pricing was good on windows and they dont install so its hard to cause issues there! I have a side installer thats very reasonable so the combination works out well.

I have to give one star because they do answer the phone and talk a good talk. Gulf & Basco does not support warranty claims on home windows. Every time I call they say I will be contacted soon but it never happens. Also, they expect me to measure my windows - I explained that my measurements may be off because I am not exactly sure how to do it (brick to brick, side to side..??). I explained it would be in everyones best interest to verify my measurements before they show up with new windows. They do not agree.!* It has been a while now since I began trying to get 7 windows replaced (which equals 50% of my total window count). I assume the high window failure count is abnormal. I and my neighbors with the same issues, hope that this ends soon.**UPDATE**I received a call from Greg Smith. He listened to my concerns explained the delay. Gulf & Basco had a team come out to measure my windows (6ea) and I hope to hear back soon on next steps. I have adjusted my rating to 3 stars and may again adjust when my windows are replaced.

Wanted to buy our son a new built in microwave for his home. Matt Bradshaw was so helpful getting measurements and finding a microwave that would fit our space. A nice lady set up installation and the installers were courteous, efficient, and professional. A+ in customer service!

Lucked out in this company not following up with us after multiple attempts to simply get a quote for what we asked for. LISTEN to all the terrible reviews and DO NOT go to this place. Im so glad we didnt even make it to signing a contract because theyve been incredibly incompetent, rude, and provided sub par service. Not worth it.

We went to Gulf and Basco for help designing our kitchen. We met with Ronit and she was a tremendous help even though we were not building our home in the Houston area. She was very gracious and was over the top in her knowledge and expertise in kitchen design. She is also a very nice and humorous person. So if you are looking for design help and a later purchase this is the place to go. They have a great showroom and they can do it all.

My wife and I decided to remodel our kitchen this year. Juliana from Gulf and Basco assisted us with the design, layout and order of the new cabinets, after reviewing several options we decided on a final layout, the cabinets turned out great, the layout is functional and we have plenty of cabinet space with a great look, my wife and I are very pleased.As with any renovation there were minor issues with trim due to imperfections of the house. however all issues were resolved in a timely manner. Once again thanks to Juliana for her support and Marcos for his professional installation.

I bought cabinets with Gulf and Basco, the salesperson was very kind and knew what they were talking about. She walked me through the process, came and measured and gave me a good quote. The price for the quality was very reasonable. They installed my cabinets with very few problems, the installer was very polite. Overall very happy with how my kitchen turned out. I get compliments on them from my friends. Highly recommend this company.

Had a really positive experience working with Ronit Linzer. She triple checked all measurements, called for clarification, and communicated with the contractor to ensure that things were done right. Excellent follow up. We were pleased with the windows and her guidance. Would use again.

I would agree that this company is a complete disaster when it comes to delivering windows. I was told that a window order would never hold up a framer. Im told this of course before a buy. Once you are a customer and have paid up front... fat chance getting your windows when they say. They then blame everyone else but themselves claiming they are simply a distributor. Al, the GM is practically no existent. Doesnt return customer voice mails and wont answer a called transferred to him from his inside sales group. I asked to speak with the GM while on the phone with Chris from inside sales. She puts me on hold and says, he just told me to go to the warehouse and ask them when they thought I would get me windows. Dont walk from this company... RUN from this company. Im three weeks out now and still short three windows with no answer from Al or anyone else in his company. I received 1 window delivered today and now that leaves 2 windows out. Go figure! Gulf and Fiasco is an appropriate name.

I must say that I don’t understand how anyone would have anything negative to say about the men and women working at Gulf & Basco. I am a fairly knowledgeable person when it comes to building as my family has been involved in the industry for as long as I can remember. When I built my own home in the summer of 2014 the sales people and office employees were nothing but helpful. Keep in mind I did not expect them to build my home or read my mind. I provided them insight as to what my vision and expectations were and they provided me with products and knowledge to fit my needs as well as my budget. As I am aware they expect their customers to execute due diligence when reviewing designs and bids, I made sure everything was as I wished it to be prior to order. Upon each stage of construction all materials and subsequent service were delivered and executed reasonably and promptly. I would like to thank the people at Gulf & Basco for all the help turning my family’s vision of our new home into a reality.

Gulf & Basco is a great place to bring customers to see cabinets, appliances, and countertops! Its the perfect one-stop-shop for designers, contractors, and builders to shop for low-cost or high-end products and their service was great as well. They also provide turn-key installation on their products, which helps with warranty issues in the future. I definitely recommend this company to my friends, family and co-workers and will bring my next customer here in the near future.

Stopped by to establish contact and obtain estimates for cabinet packages for new homes. ( Im a home builder) G&B charges $300 just to give an estimate. In others words, the customer pays $300 for this company to earn the business. I dont think so.

Its impossible to get a hold of someone. You can literally call three numbers and no one will answer. If you send an email no one will respond. They will transfer you multiple times until it finally hangs up. When you finally do speak to someone he or she will give you incomplete information. You will have to re explain the entire situation every time service is scheduled. They will schedule service but the workers will be unprepared and uninformed about what has to be done. The cycle will repeat itself.

Only reason for 1 star is because I had to give one.. Roy took all my info said he would get back with me never did.. I called many time for him and he was never in the office.. Why would he even be on the floor to help people if hes always out? Then got with Ginger she also never got back with me. Then I called for her and sent her some info and week later nothing called left message nothing.. went back today 11-17-17 and asked questions still nothing had been done. . So you know what cancelled everything and taking my business elsewhere... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY THERE!!!!!

They were scheduled AT a specific time to come do a repair. Not a window of time, even still they wouldnt have made that. I even called to see if they were still coming and got a VM. I left a message with no return call. The person showed up 3.5 hours late AFTER my appt. time without ever calling and i was already gone to work. I was told i would be the 1st appt because they knew i had to leave for work. They never even called to apologize or reschedule. The repair has yet to be completed. I have informed Bayway of this indiscretion and advised them to consider changing vendors. Very unprofessional behavior!

My builder told me to give this place a call, when the prior company they were using went out of business. I called them and it was very clear to me that they dont like my kind. They told me that they dont install windows after I asked if I could buy a window from them and have it installed. But thats only after being hung up on three or four times. That is no way to deal with people. I guess its part of the culture at this place.

Ordered new windows. Delayed 1.5 months pst delivery date. 5/11 arrived severely defective (bent frames on 3 causing sliding window to fall out). Gulf and Basco sent out a technician who told us the windows werent broken but informed us of his side job shimming windows - offered to do it for $1,000. We contacted the window manufacturer who fortunately stepped up to fix Gulf and Bascos problems. The manufacturer immediately recognized the defective windows.We disputed the charges for 3/11 windows. Never were contacted by G&B, but I suppose they successfully used the manufacturers work to get the dispute reversed (they must care enough to collect money). Our contact was Ginger, who almost never calls back and when you do receive communication it is just passing the problem to someone else. Run far away if you have the misfortune of getting Ginger as your contact.Do not do business with this company if you are an individual homeowner, they will make your remodel much, much more difficult. In our case, they single handedly delayed moving back into our Harvey-flooded home and appear to not care at all.

New management? Non responsive kitchen sales, as well as management. Called in with a kitchen already designed; sales took in the specific cabinet sizes, but did not write down each specific location. Got appointment but sales did not do her homework (graphic picture), and did not show up for appt. Management (3 men) failed to apologize, failed to offer a solution on the spot, lost present and future sales.

Extremely disappointed in the quality of glass. Eight windows cracked and/or seals broken first seven months in our new home. Paid top price for house but Highland Homes did not tell us that we were getting inferior lower level glass in the windows. Now we are having trouble finding replacement glass to match.

I must say that all of the negative reviews are correct. We recently built a new house and the Installer showed up first day without any tools so said he would come back. We he finally came back two days later he did not have all the pieces ordered. He installed what he had then came back two weeks later with more materials. He still did not have everything. It is now 6 months later and I have called the sales rep on several occasions and have asked for them to come finish installing the light rail and fix all the scratches and nix that they left when installed. At this point I have given up hope. Price was OK but not that much better and the service speaks for itself. I would not use this company again under any circumstances.

This company is horrible. I purchased kitchen and bathroom cabinets for my custom home and it has become a total nightmare. My house was flooded in Houston on April16th 2016. Dealing with the insurance companies, mortgage companies, contractors, Harris county, have been a nightmare. However compared to Gulf and Basco, that was nothing!!!!I truly cannot remember dealing with a company so inept as Gulf and Basco. After my cabinets were delivered it has now been over a month and still they are not installed correctly. We cannot use my kitchen or bathroom as the install is not complete. My GC wants to charge me an additional $2000 because he cannot perform the work I paid him to dop because after a month the cabinets are still not CORRECT!!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I HAD TO EXPERIENCE THE NIGHTMARE, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO!!!!!!STAY AWAY

Worst service ever. It has passed 90 days since we bought our house, this company did our kitchen and bathrooms, there are fixtures missing, we have talked with customer service multiple times, they came twice to see the issue, they say they are sending the installers to fix it but, we are still waiting and they still havent fixed our kitchen cabinets nor to install the soft close in our drawers. THIS COMPANY IS A NIGHTMARE, AVOID BUYING FROM THEM OR YOU WILL REGRET IT BIG TIME!

Very bad service. All the windows we ordered ... some were not the measure we ordered ... eyes came to measure. The others are faulty. .. They said that they were going to be responsible and that melas were going to change .. only from 2-26-21 until today 6-16-21 .. they only blame the contractor and No one is responsible. OF THE BAD SERVICE THAT THEY ASEN ... EVERYONE BLAME THE COBI.
