Really Good Place. Nice and Friendly Staff. Had an alternator for a generator go out and no one had one in stock. Heard from a friend about this place and dropped it off yesterday and it was ready today. Starter looked brand new from the good quality work these guys did. Just finished installing right now and it worked just like a new one. Would highly recommend.

Excellent work. Swapped out my junk starter and swapped it with a stock starter they had in the back. Rebuild was cheaper than the cheapest option available at Autozone (not worth its weight), half as much as more expensive options.I would wholly recommend them to anyone in need of a refurbished starter.

My starter died in my 05 Saturn... the parts store said it was $225 to replace... I didnt have the money... I was in a panic... I took my dead starter to finch... it was ready in 3 hours... absolutely perfect... my old starter looked totally brand new... I Installed it and she started on first crank... only cost $100 out the door with a 1 year warranty! Dont throw your money away... If you get in a pinch... go to Finch!!! I want to personally thank Finchs counter man for helping me out! Keep up the good work fellas.

Bought a new battery from here only lasted a year. Took it back and was told that I will have to pay full price for a whole new battery. Never had to buy a new battery every year.

Very disappointed try take advantage of me with the high prices.found another guy in south west Houston very helpful and affordable. I do not recommend finch

Mr. Finch your YouTube page says that you are fair and honest but it also says Houston Alternator right before your phone number. When I called that number and asked if I had reached Houston Alternator I was told that they had gone out of business. Since that is not true, I was just there, they only moved a few blocks down, I wouldnt call that fair or honest. I think its a pretty shady way to do business. Shame on you!

I have been a customer of Mr. Finch and his staff for many years. His knowledge and understand of his services cant be beat. The service and products are excellent and his prices are unbeatable for the value. I do certainly recommend him and his staff to my friends.

If you arent sure whats wrong with your car tow it to another mechanics shop. The shop is not set up for diagnostic work. They do not have a diagnostics computer on premises to help you figure out what is wrong with your car. They visually inspected at my alternator and starter and said there were no problems. They contracted out all the other work for my car to other mechanics. If you need an alternator or starter rebuilt, this is your place. For any other mechanical work, including diagnostic, I implore you, please go somewhere else.

NEVER BEEN RIPPED OFF SO BAD IN MY LIFE! ZERO STARS if i could!I was having trouble with my Corvette, so I decided to use this company. I took my car to them and they said it was the alternator, I had mentioned make sure that was the right part, because I did not want to have multiple parts changed out on my car. I had the service done which was around $300. They said there was a 6 month warranty, so I would be fine till then.After picking up the car, I drove it that day and the same problem came back. Turns out it was not the alternator. I called them and they said to bring it by so they can see what the problem is. Since I had a 6 month warranty I took it back. I left it with them and they told me they would call me. I got call back later that day and they said it wasnt the alternator and its the starter. I asked how much the cost would be. They replied saying that it was going to be $450. After this point I did not trust them anymore. Told them I would call back, because they should have been sure the first time! I called them back and he said now its gonna be $500, because I waited 10 min to call back. He said an extra $50 to lift up the car. I told them that they said i Had a 6 month warranty, they did NOT CARE.When picking up my car, they swapped parts out. Before the car would start with a jump, now the car doesnt start at all. Im sure they changed out the starter because I didnt want to do the job.I still can not believe I got ripped off like that. First time for everything!

One of not too many honest car services in Houston. My battery wasnt charging and lights were getting dim. Guys in Finch detected the reason - faulty alternator and fixed it for a very reasonable price. Im very satisfied with the service and communication in the store. For way too many time I have been literally robbed for simple work in other services.

Wish Houston Alternator was still around ! Dropped a chevy alternator off Tuesday at 11am , still not heard from them Thursday at 2pm , Service sucks , picked it up and will find another service that is prompt in atleast a diagnosis !

Ive known Doug 21years . There is not a single shop in Houston Like Finch ~They can fix anything ~What they wont do ? Is hold your hand and work for free .I saw a fella with a corvette wiring frayed all sorts of emission parts removed complaining they would not RIG his car for him ~ Made a huge scene ~ I was not surprised when the shop owner said ? I cant help you ~I then watched them spend two hours fixing a little old ladies car . She was at least 80 years old ~And Doug didnt charge her a penny ~They rebuilt the alternator in my 2001 3500HD dually for 108.25and its has more amps than it did before ~Doug is one of the rare individuals that knows about small internal parts what bearings are quality what are junk ~He spends the extra money on expensive AMERICAN internal parts so he doesnt have needless repairs .This is a REAL mechanics resource ~Not the shop for the discount seeking autozone crowd ~But the shop for the working man who turns wrenches ~I bought my first rebuilt starter for an IH CO in 1996 .And I will not ever use another shop .

Fixed my alternator the right way after having problems with one that I bought at A####$$ed auto. Quick turnaround too.

Starter rebuild failed. Did not replace or check voltage regulator. Poor procedures. They are only game in town, so dont have to care very much. Finally got it right, but big hassle.

Saved us money and no problems with the parts...

If you have any problems with your car o trucks starter or alternator even battery they will get you on the road again and there prices are very reasonable because its owner operated.

Got a factory alternator rebuilt for half the cost of a generic rebuild from an auto parts store.
