There could not be a more customer service oriented shop within 100 miles! I had a last minute trip to ride from Philly to LA and the bike had been in storage for 3 years. This was my only way of getting to a new job I got with a short notice to show up for my first day.Chuck and Stephanie took my VTX 1300 under their wing and looked over every component to ensure I would be safe on my 2k+ ride. They fixed my dry rotted fuel lines, replaced the brakes, battery, a rusted out mirror. They checked my tires, carb, and electricals; they took it on a few check rides to ensure I wouldn’t die.They did this all in two days!I cannot be more grateful for how much attention they gave my bike. While most shops will tell you how booked they are without caring why a customer needs services, this shop cares about the rider.In the era of only having a choice between giant dealer shops and tuning shops, it’s nice to know that there still exist shops like this where you can really connect with the service team.

So I did a lot of research looking at reviews to find a Motorcycle Mechanic as I just bought my first bike I went to this bike shop for an oil change and inspection the people were very professional right away he said my chain was too loose they fixed it ,started giving me the 3d degree like my dad would mind you I didnt tell him until after that I bought the bike 3 days prior until after the tongue lashing lol But thats exactly what I need a guy who is gonna tell it how it is not a guy who wont say anything and just fail your inspection cares enough about peoples safety to lay it on ya I can appreciate that I will be going back for all my motorcycle needs I learned a lot about the chain yesterday , Thank you Chuck see you soon.

Hi, I had an appointment with them yesterday for my honda vtx1300c. I told them clean up the carburetor and may be a tune up because i was using little bit chock all the time, now he found out the throttle cable was the problem he re routed the cable and loosen up the throttle, now the problem solved.no more chock and i am very happy. Thank you guys for your knowledge and the job you did.

Ive had issues with my 07 Sportster since I bought it almost 3 years ago. Finally gave up pretending that Im a mechanic and brought it to Bikes Built Better to have an electrical issue sorted out and get a proper tune on the bike. Only brought my bike here once for some work. Receptionists attitude sucks! God forbid you dont know something about what you want done to your bike and try to ask a question to get some knowledge, shell answer you as if you just ruined her day and should already know. Its a shame because when the mechanic brought my bike out to me he was really courteous about whatever question I had for him. Her and her attitude are the only thing keeping me away from this place.

I have taking my bikes to BBB since I started riding. I have found the advice to be right on target and the pricing to be extremely fair give the questionable bikes that I have purchased in the past. Currently we are working on some minor custom work, they listened to what I wanted and had some great suggestions. Looking forward to seeing the completed work in the near future.

Great crew at this shop. Ive popped in a few times this year and they managed to tweak what ever my concern was in a timely manner. Chuck has gone out of his way to start me off riding. I am especially grateful to Steff who works the front counter. Myself as a new woman rider, shes been super helpful and her years of experience are amazing. Go here 1st, save yourself time and money by getting the work done right the first time. I went through 2 local shops on a carb tuning issues with my Harley, Chuck fixed what I paid the other 2 shops screwed up and my bike is fully awake again. For now on, Im only going here. Im giving 5 stars as I highly recommend this one stop shop.

Well, after reading some negative reviews about two other local shops (Motorcycle Services and the other one on York rd, dont remember the name), I decided not to take a chance and took my bike to BBB. I am happy I did. Chuck and his wife are awesome folks and are able to help even novice riders like me. I brought in my first bike (custom Rebel 250) to fix the shifter and I was treated very well, even tho my bike was a cheap junk. I took my second bike (Shadow 600) to Chuck to do the inspection last fall and everything was done in 10 minutes, no appoinment needed. Thanks guys, I will definitely come back again.

Asked for a quote and never received a call back. Before I could say thank you I was hung up on. Took my bike to Montgomeryville cycle to have the work done. I was going to ask them to have a custom map done too but Ill be taking my bike to Karns Performance instead. I was hoping to build a relationship with a local shop but I guess not.

5 minutes after bringing my bike in the Mechanic was test riding it.Thought my carburetor was in trouble. Simple solution no work needed, but he took 30 minutes out of his day and did not even charge me and didnt try and scam me into getting work done I didnt need. I will be using them for now on for any work I need. Thanks.

Had my VTX in for routine maintenance. Tire replacements, inspection, oil change, etc. The bike was clean and they did everything as promised and on time. Customer service was outstanding from my first phone call to riding my bike home. Much appreciated.

Its nice to go to a place and actually have them treat you like an equal instead of someone who doesnt know as much as they do. Chuck took the time to listen to what id already been over on the bike and paid close attention to the details. The place has a laid back atmosphere and caters to all types of rides. My normal shop wasnt able to do my inspection as they were having issues with their state certification so I went on a search for one that was reputable and close by. I heard about Bikes Built Better from a NextDoor website recommendation and figured Id give them a try.I just had my Triumph inspected (as well as some other minor work) by them last week and Chuck & crew were fantastic from beginning to end. Ive been riding since 1990, so Ive been inside a shop or two.I was originally just looking for someone to cover me for this years inspection, but they are so fantastic (and much more affordable) that Im going to use them from now on instead of Manayunk Triumph for all my work!

Came here for one thing and Im already bringing it back for something else. They dont beat you over the head with price and this will be my shop for any motorcycle need. They sound kinda rude cuz god forbid you have questions and dont know but once you get over that service is great.

This wasnt my first time here, but its definitely the last straw!!! Stopped in for new wheels and tires mounted. I told them I purchased tires on line from the beginning. They never told me they would charge double for mounting and balancing the tires if I didnt buy the tires through them. So I gave them my tires and rims!! Went back the next day to pick them up and they tell me they charged me more then normal because I bought the tires on line. ($115) Then Stephanie says but thats okay you saved so much by buying them online. If they didnt want to do the job that fine Ill take the work somewhere else. Thanks for nothing!!!! Ill never go there again!!!!

I have several motorcycles and a 4 wheeler and these guys have always been very helpful and prompt with repairs.

Purchased intake and carb kit for my 2000 sportster. Bike ran great before i brought it in. After the job the bike spit out the intake right around 3200 rpm non stop. In the end i had to take the bike to another shop to fix the problem. Beware.

I found BBB to be very fair and competent and has always treated me like family highly recommended

8/28/ 2017Another awesome tune on another Vulcan fom BBB. This time on a 1600 Nomad. Had some concerns with it and brought it in. New fuel controller and map from foilhat and this bike screams. Good , fast service and answered my questions. Any problems ??? See BBB. you wont regret it.9/14/2015Chuck wrote me a map on a Vulcan 900 Vance and Hines with fuel controller. Got 15 extra ponies and 4 lbs. of torque. Still runs great with auto tuner. Thanks Chuck......
