The trailer was exactly what I needed. UR handles a lot of rentals for me on various construction sites and it was good to turn to a business relationship for a personal need. Dave Garnett was great and made sure I had right trailer and hitch for the job.

Joe Gagne was not only highly informative but also fun to learn from. About half of the people we had in the class were experienced and he taught those folks better and safer ways to work. The best part was he took time to teach the less experienced ones how to safely operate the lifts.

Asked for a 65 ft. lift got a 60 ft. and was 5ft. short for the job and wasted a morning with 2 men.

We hade no problems with the rental at all. The problem was the weather only got to use it for a day and a half out of the 8 days it was here.

They have great service and their equipment is all in good condition. I’ve rented with this place a few times already, and I’ll keep going there for all my equipment needs.

We have a Construction framing business and have been using United Rentals the entire time. Cris Cail is our Rep, He is always on top of things and to attentive to our needs. I had needed a Mini Trac and Plate Compactor to move and settle 10 yards of patio base for my patio project. Knowing that it would be impossible to move all of that without equipment i had United deliver both units. The Vermeer mini track looked like it was fresh off the showroom floor as did the plate compactor. Everything worked perfectly until a tree root managed to take the rubber track off the front roller of the Vermeer. It was a freak accident. They sent out Jim Vancour from service immediately and was an absolute delight to work with. Jim had the track back on and working within 15 minutes. Working with Jim seemed more like having a buddy over to help fix the unit rather than some random mechanic. All of my patio base got moved and compacted perfectly and the units picked up promptly after. Very pleased

Ive always been impressed by United Rentals and my recent experience was no different. We just moved into a new factory and needed a scissor lift. I rented two of them for a month for our build-out of the new building then we were shutdown for COVID right in the middle. United was very helpful and even paused our rental agreement until we could resume operations saving me much needed money during a very difficult cash flow time. I was impressed by how easy and understanding they were.Later when I was ready to buy a scissor lift, I reached out so see if they would meet with me even though they were closed for COVID. I worked with Joe Lees who was extremely helpful and even made a special trip in on a Saturday morning to meet with me and walk me through the benefits of each type of lift. The purchase was quick and simple and it was delivered within days. I later had one small issue and texted Joe and he had a tech dispatched right away.So happy I chose to go with United Rentals! Thanks Joe and the team!

While picking up a port-a-potty at my home one of their drivers backed off my driveway to the point of almost tipping the truck. He caused my driveway to be compromised so every time it rained the driveway was undermined.I was told that someone from the office would be in touch with me, but no one reached out until after I called first. At which point I was given attitude by the person that came to check it out. Then no further communication.Then all of a sudden 2 of their employees showed up with bags of stone from home depot or lowes and only 1/2 fixed the problem.They left large rocks and dirt clumps on my lawn, left an area completely untouched.They should not have even touched it and left it to the professionals because the entire area is still a problem area. We decided to reside the house this year. As a DIYer, I like to do these things myself. Unfortunately, due to the tallness of our house (and the topography), it was impossible to get the top 10-15 feet with a ladder. After asking around on Facebook, I was recommended United Rentals.I ended up renting a 40-45 ft. boom lift for a month to complete my work. I must say I was very intimidated when it first arrived. I had never operated one before and was concerned about the complexity of the controls.I can say that even someone with ZERO construction equipment use learned super quick. It was so much easier to install the vinyl siding with this and I cant imagine how long it wouldve taken without it.I was able to complete what I needed and then spent the last week using it to trim trees that I wouldve never reached otherwise.So, as a newbie, anyone else looking to rent something (like a boom lift), I have a few things I learned.1.) Make sure the person dropping it off gives you a quick rundown of everything (switches, alarms, etc). As a residential renter, we are definitely out-of-the-ordinary and we dont know as much as they think we know. So, be sure to get them to give you a quick course on the dos and donts.2.) Get yourself a harness (they sell them); these things can really swing back and forth hard when extended (even if you take it slow). Make sure that its listed on the invoice or they wont bring it for you.3.) Find a diesel gas can. I didnt have one, but my neighbor did. They charge $7/gallon to refill the gas. I thought I used it a lot (at least an hour a day for the whole month) and only burned about 12 gallons, so you shouldnt need to make too many trips.4.) Ask around to your neighbors to see if they need anything done. Im not going to lie, its not cheap to rent one of these. But, if you can find a few more folks who can split the cost, itll be a better investment. I ended up helping 4 different neighbors with tree trimming. Its not often you can reach this high, so theyll be very grateful!5.) Call to schedule pickup. This was something that no one told me and I wondered why it wasnt picked up on the last day. After calling they said it wasnt on auto-pickup, so I needed to call. Never knew it.Overall, I was very pleased with the boom-lift rental experience. I know there arent a lot of options for residential rentals, but United Rental had the equipment to really help me out. If I need to rent one again, and I hope someday I do, because theyre a blast, I would come back.

1 star only because 0 is not an option. Reserved a lift 3 weeks ago, received a call 2 days before pickup and told they dont have it and Im out of luck. SERIOUSLY?! No way to run a business!
