Theyre gonna have pretty much anything you need for anything youre doing on the water, but youre going to pay for it in both time and money. Ive never been to this place and waited less than 30 minutes in line. Not because its busy, its just slow. Only thing worse is getting to the register and getting that bill. If you can find it on Craigslist, or Facebook marketplace, get it there. Avoid West Marine if you can!

Great place to get your ocean stuff.

They have lots of stuff, and even more stuff that other stores dont. I recommend you check here first. Most of their floor/sales staff know what theyre talking about.

Not a big Fan of West Marines, generally. (Thinking of the terrible Pt Townsend one still gives me anxiety) BUT this one is awesome! Well run, stocked, clean and very nice manager and staff!

I go to this location frequently for all of my boat needs.The staff are friendly and helpful every time. They get busy quite frequently, so sometimes I have to be patient, but the experts in their fields are very thorough.As a pro account member, the discounts are great and west marine will continue to see my loyalty.

I was shopping for womens board shorts and swim shorts, and found a few! They had a fair selection and I was actually able to find a few pairs in my size, comfortable, and well-fitting with pockets and long enough inseams!

Eh, a good place but VERY expensive... very, Very, VERY expensive. West Marine IS its own brand after all. But this is DEFINITELY the place to go for replacement parts for anything that breaks on your boat. Not to sure about whether you can find everything, but I know there are little things that POP fishing has if you cant find them here. They also have a fairly decent selection of actual fishing supplies for a boating place. Decent variety of lures. A couple different types of poles and some quality reels... some tackle kitsch. Id still go to some other place for fishing supplies though, like I said VERY expensive.

This is my go-to place for boating. They have a good selection of products, a decent website, and nice staff.Prices are not as cheap as some other things you may find online, but the quality often isn’t either.The important thing is that they’re available, and open pretty good hours, including weekends, where some of the competitors close early and on Sunday.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Large parking lot on Nimitz across from the new Ross. They stock tons of water activities ... boat accessories and parts. Good inventory... a little pricey but... they have a lot of inventory of a good variety of stuff.

Awesome fishing products. Picked up a Penn rod, spinner, tackle box, braided line, and some light tackle for a really great price. Great customer service, and a really awesome showroom for everything from whipping, to fly fishing, to bait casting, to boating! I bought a Perception Pescador pedal-powered kayak from Kevin. Over six months ago, I came in to inquire about pedal-powered kayaks and asked a lot of questions about different models. Kevin was very impatient and wasn’t very helpful until I told him that attitude was not very friendly and I was offended by his dismissive attitude. Only then was he more responsive. A few days ago, I returned to West Marine after doing a lot of research on the Perception Pescador and having had many questions answered by sales persons at mainland sporting goods stores.I decided to buy the kayak at West Marine Honolulu after I was informed that the price was the same here. I saw Kevin again but didn’t mention our prior contact (which didn’t go so well). I decided to purchase the kayak locally from Kevin who was more pleasant this time. However, when I picked up the kayak today, Kevin appeared to be uninterested in answering basic questions about the kayak, like how to attach the rudder and how install and lift the propeller assembly which was new to me. There were no instructions that came with the kayak so I assumed he could simply tell me how the loose parts went together. Instead. he replied that he would have to charge me to put it together! I didn’t ask him to assemble it, just show where they went together. I was disappointed with his attitude toward a customer who just paid over $1600 to purchase a kayak from West Marine. I hope that if I return to the store, customer service will be better.

Very disappointed with customer service. We were wanting to buy a GPS unit and nobody approached us to help. We asked one worker if they could send someone to assist us and he said hell get one for us. Well one hour later with no help, we left and bought from Cabelas instead. Yes they have many products but not worth going there and getting customer service.

Selection and inventory is unmatched. Massive and great for looking at products in person with good service and staff willing to help find what you need. Prices are a gouge at the least. Find the same product online for half of the cost of here. Definitely saves the day in a pinch. 2 Stars off for insanely high priced goods.

Matthew who works in the fishing section is by far the most helpful person I have ever worked with since Ive been on island. Each sales person I interacted with in the store (4 total) was very helpful and knowledgeable and didnt seem to mind that the store was closing in 5 minutes.

Didnt have a lot of staff to help search or answer questions on the floor, but the cashier was friendly and they give a military discount.

You can find and fulfill all you nautical needs here. A little expensive but thats the cost of living in paradise. A lot of the time West Marine is a little expensive, but you know they will have whatever you need relating to boating.Sometimes the employees are super friendly and helpful. Sometimes meh.

The staff here are friendly and helpful. I was looking for a Compass and was able to find it here. There were various types, size, model, and price of Compasses which gave me some good options to choose the right one. Other fishing gear and boating materials are also found here.

Dont shop here if your skin is darker than a latte! Time after time shopping here Ive seen blatant racist generalizations of customers to the point where most local people are followed through the store treated like thieves. Last visit, as I was paying for my items, two local men walk in and asked where they could find something, the cashier proceeded to tell them an aisle then gets on her radio to inform the rest of the store they should keep an eye out for these two. She boldly did this in front of about five customers paying and waiting in line, unreal! These men were polite, about as clean cut as the rest of the customers, the only difference was skin color. The prices are exorbitant too, many items can be found online or at other marine dealers at a much better price.

This Super Store has everything you need for marine as well as non-marine applications. These are marine quality products. The Yeti line of products are the best here and the selection is great.

Their aisles are detailed. Like a Safeway grocery store. Good for any item on the water.

Went to west marine this week. Had an item on reserve and when I got there it wasnt the rod as advertised online, this one was more expensive. However, after talking to the westmarine staff they didnt try to upsell me the rod but instead told me the benefits and downsides of each of the rods and they let me choose between which one. I very much appreciate employees who know their product and let me decide what I want, not trying to upsell me the more expensive item. Thanks west marine, the rod works great, caught me a bunch of bait fish with it.

Walked in and never got helped for about 10 mins (employees just passed me by when I was giving the obvious Im lost face.. too big of a store for such a small staff I guess. So while I was in the store, I called the store from my cell and I then actually receive assistance.Why I went:I came to pick up 7 safety lights for a life vest I ordered on the phone. I received a voice-mail saying that my order was ready for pickup from a lady named JAN. I came in and thats when I did not receive any welcome or was asked how can we help/direct you. I eventually found the lady named JAN, she handed me a bag of light switches ... this employee definitely needs more MARINE EQUIPMENT training or the order person needs to order the right items.I would of had to make another trip back to get the right lights but Jerry said he will deliver them upon arrival. Jerry is great, go see him when u get there.
