After decades of being to busy to use my bow, I finally decided to start target practice again. I was then referred to this store..... the rude guy Daniel thats in there will ignore you when you walk in (the storer was empty... no other customers) , even after you say hello. Then he will insult you, when you ask questions about current equipment and talk down to you. Like hes the archery God, I guess you can afford to act like that when you are the ones certifying and supplying oahu. This is sad because Danielle seems very nice, but she was busy in back and couldnt come out for very long.You are better off buying your things online, after doing your own research.Dont waste your time...

Daniel was very helpful! I came in as a complete noob. He gave me tons of pointers and helpful advice. Took the time to get me set up with all the right gear and necessary bow adjustments. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Good quality products. Nice little mom and pop shop. Support the local small business! Thanks again!!

Great shop. Got me set up with a drop away rest and installed it plus walked me through the ins and outs of the rest since it’s my first drop away. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be going to them for all my archery needs.

You cant beat the level of service offered here. In summary, even though I purchased a bow from somewhere else, they were more than willing to help me with a warranty claim. Repair was completed quickly, free of charge. I really didnt expect that. With online retail giants driving local businesses to the edge, remember that when you purchase online, you will never get this kind of care and expertise that The Island Archer provides. I will forever buy from here now because they deserve it. And I hope you will too, knowing that they truly are enthusiasts dedicated to serving the local archery community. Came in today with a new bow but not a lot of knowledge about the set up or sport. Daniel took the time first to see if this would be a correct bow for me, then explained how he was going to tune my bow specifically to my size. He confirmed my draw length, adjusted it, installed my sights and other items, set me up with arrows and basically gave me a class on the proper use of this bow. He went above and beyond customer service and I just wanted to say thanks. This shop has everything you need for archery and would highly recommended Island Archer to everyone.

Walked into this store today ready to spend a bunch of money on a new bow. When I entered they were assisting a customer, so of course I fully expect to have to wait until theyre done. Both employees look at me multiple times and say nothing. Not even a hi or well be right with you. Nothing! They both had multiple opportunities to just simply acknowledge me. I continue to wait a bit. Other customer leaves the store to get something from his car I assume. Still no acknowledgment. Finally I decide Im going to leave they obviously dont care about customer acquisition. On the way out the door I get a do you have a question?. Really??? As I have my back to you and ready to leave, now you can say something? Im all for supporting local businesses its what Hawaii needs. But this kind of service makes it all too easy to settle for buying online.

I went there to purchase a used bow. I was informed that the used bow wasnt right for me (draw length and purpose). That employee was in fact the owner of the store. He could ve made a big sale by selling me the used bow and all the accessories necessary to hunt successfully. He didnt. Instead I got my bow readjusted and tuned saving me over $500 and not getting something that wouldnt work for me. Ill definitely be returning for my archery needs and passing on my experience to friends and family.

Customer service seems to be a reoccurring theme here. I had a long wait to be seen which is understandable because sometimes buying a new bow can be a big deal, they are expensive after all... But they did not even acknowledge us (I brought my friend because he wants to get into bow hunting) not even a Ill be with u in a few just ignoring us. When it was our turn we talked to the man behind the counter. I suggested to him that my friend would like an entry level compound bow for hunting and that it would be best if he had the lower end draw weights for boar (55ish #). He went on acting snarky and saying well need practice before hunting boar. This man knows nothing about us other than I am suggesting a bow for my beginner friend of mine. He suggested a package deal which was an ok set then he goes on to say hes running low on arrows. How can an archery store possibly be running low on arrows lol. I really wanted to give them a chance but dont go in there unless ur a well known Olympic grade archer because they will treat u like rubbish.

My husband and I come into the shop consistently for everything, big or small. We have bought three Bowtech bows and have never been disappointed especially when it comes to service. The owners Daniel and Danielle are amazing and knowledgeable. We wouldn’t take our business elsewhere. Great shop, great people.

Staff are very helpful and have helped me many times on purchases and knowledge on equipment. This store is a total Gem. I would recommend it to anyone. Mahalo

It’s a bit sad here. These people don’t know how to talk to people and their business, I’m guessing, suffers because of it. They come across as very rude, don’t think that is the intent but disappointing

I love this place great staff that is very knowledgeable and helpful. I had a hunch of questions and they helped me pick out my bow. They do repairs if needed too. They will special order bows and other supplies if they dont have.

Im a new archer, I received a bow from a friend and decided to take it to Island Archer. As soon as I walked in, this fine gentleman helped me out from setting up my bow for me, helping me with my form and installing a new peepsight, and cutting down and setting up half a dozen arrows that I purchased. I am very pleased with the quality of service and good people. Their outstanding customer service helped in staying in this sport. I will be going to the shop again, as a matter of fact, ill be going there in about an hour. Thank you guys.Chris

Not a vast selection of archery equipment but they are knowledgeable about all things archery. They even work on bows here too not sure about their rates though.

Danelles customer service was excellent. She ordered and re-stringed my old Martin Compound Bow with silencers and all. All questions answered. Very reasonably priced. Customer for life - Big Mahalo!

I had a horrible experience here. First of all when I first went into the shop the guy seemed like he was in a bad mood and was very grumpy. I got some arrows cut and then asked about getting a string and cable put on my bow. He did not have it so he said he was going to have to order it and it would take about 2 weeks. 3 weeks later I called and he informed me that it hadnt even been ordered yet. Now its about 3 weeks before I go back to the mainland on a hunting trip and I have to scramble around to try to get a string put on ASAP so I can do some shooting before I go. A simple phone call would have been nice. I wont go back there and wont recommend it to anyone else. The customer service was a 0 for me.

Always get the help I need when I go there. From tuning ,to replacing my d loop, getting any questions answered I may have and a new set of limbs ordered under warranty no questions asked. As long as Im on this island this will be my archery shop. Go and check them out!
