I would advise anyone buying a new vehicle here to take a close look at the paint. Purchased a vehicle here and noticed substantial swirl marks throughout the entire vehicle, but unfortunately only noticed the marks after having driven it a few hundred miles. Currently in the middle of working with Hyundai consumer affairs to try and correct it. I also took a look at a brand new sonata and Kona on the show room floor with the same paint swirls. Pictures attached are immediately following the on-site detail company attempting the polish the swirls out with no success.

I bought a brand new 5 seat car from Gary Roma Hyundai with 4 buckles. They want ME to pay an additional $140 to find the 5th buckle. Horrible customer service and cheap. Won’t buy a car from them again. In case you do, avoid Patrick. He is not customer service oriented.

I am on my 4th Hyundai from this dealership and I cant say enough about the quality of service I have received here over the last 15 years. Former Service Manager Kevin and new Service Manager Geo run the best service department I have dealt with in 50 years of car ownership. Recently I was in for tire rotation and normal service. I had a airbag service light on and asked that it be checked out. My Service Associate on this trip was Patrick Hamel, who I have dealt with many times over the years. As usual, Patrick was on top of every aspect of my service experience, even accommodating my need to be done with my service in time to make a Dr. appointment I had that same day. He made sure that the services performed that day were correct, kept me informed of the progress of the service and took responsibility for making sure the service light issue was properly diagnosed. He informed me of the problem (mat sensor), scheduled obtaining the parts and set up my appointment to make this repair. As usual, I was informed ahead of time of the cost and time duration for the service on that day and the upcoming visit to remedy the airbag sensor problem. I always leave Gary Rome Hyundai Service knowing I have received top quality service for a reasonable price and with the utmost consideration for my time and budget! Talk about peace of mind!

If I did not have free oil changes associated with the initial purchase of my Tuscon, I would likely not return after my recent experience; I would be much more likely to pay a local mechanic for oil changes and similar services.My issue was that my appointment time was 7:30am, but service on my vehicle did not begin until after 8:30am. Staff said the overall time would take an hour, but it ended up taking an 2 hours and 15 minutes. I also had to ask if my vehicle was ready to be picked up (I noticed it sat waiting to leave the bay for about 20-30 minutes); staff never provided updates on timing, that they were very busy and did not communicate that my vehicle was ready.I just want honest communication. If staff had been upfront about the wait time and being incredibly busy, I would give this 4 or 5 stars. Instead, I feel like they just ignored the problem because once I got out of my car, I had no choice but to wait for however long the oil change would take.

Buying process was as good or bad as any other dealership Ive dealt with. 2 weeks after taking delivery of used 2014 Optima EX 27000 mi. My son was driving and had a side wall blowout on the front passenger tire. Got to the side of the road prepared to change tire and found this ( three cans of old paint (please see photo). Called dealership left message on Sunday, No response, called again Monday was transferred to David. I was told in no uncertain terms spare tires and jacks are not included in Sedans and tires are not under warranty. and that it was not his problem. I asked why they let my 17 year old son drive a car off their lot without a spare and without notifying me that I would have to buy it. I asked why wasnt I told that when were buying it. I was told AGAIN not our problem, and that I should of known it did not come with a spare. I asked if this was his final answer and I was told yes and he couldnt care less if I wrote a bad review.From the pic It is obvious this car was never inspected and they had no idea if this had a spare or not. It causes me to wonder what else was not inspected. I expect this kind of nonsense from a corner car dealer not the number 1 volume Kia dealer in the country. Dispite their slogan they dont care about you or your family. I wonder if Gary would let his kids drive off the lot without a spare or at least warn them that they do not have a spare.

My mom had always bought Hyundai, and brought me here for my first car back in high school. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and the sales person was so sweet, and was very determined to make sure I was completely happy with every aspect of the car before selling it to me. I had brought a list of things I wanted, and it was all fulfilled.Now, years later, I’m mainly using my mom’s old-ish 2009 car (sold my own for some extra money) and the service center is amazing too. I have brought my car for a repair when my usual mechanic tried to rip me off. Felix always fits in time, and he’s honest. Let’s me know whether something is absolutely needed, or if I can get by without. Now, whenever I need something addressed, I instantly refer to this place for any and all questions. I can trust them. After coming here for my first car, and back every now and then for the older car, I can confidently say that I would recommend Gary Rome Hyundai to anyone and everyone that is interested.

Horrible experience i will NEVER buy here or come here again , they sold me a pre owned 2018 honda accord they had no brakes and did not want to fix it for me , the car was also leaking oil in my drive way and they didnt want to do anything about it i had to get rid of the car i was a complete pile of junk! I didnt buy my Hyundai Tucson at Gary Rome Hyundai but I will buy my next, and my next and my next. From the reminder call so I dont forget to bring my car, to the end when I picked up a clean car inside and out; the service was outstanding. Where else can you count on a dealer that provides prompt and reliable shuttle service? I missed the first shuttle and another was right behind it. The drivers were courteous and friendly. Gary Rome Hyundai puts other dealers to shame. They set the example of what a car dealer should be. Truly outstanding service.

I thought they were a good dealership I have purchased three vehicles through them and went recently for a 4th for my daughter they tried to switch vehicles on her and quoted her the wrong car and she actually signed and circled her payment plan then the salesman at the last minute said oh that is the wrong vehicle and had to go back to his credit department and then redo it and it came back almost couple hundred dollars more a month and they tried to make it sound like it was our fault even though we handed them to print out of the correct vehicle they went and got the vehicle and we test drove it and then they quoted the wrong car but made it sound like it was our fault because she had looked at other cars online and somehow that confused somebody there apparently. So I would watch yourself the old bait and switch is on at Gary rome.

I had bought a car there. The car sales was great but when it comes to maintenance to your vehicle I suggest not to go there take your car somewhere else you will lose your money just like I did. I had front brake work done and 4 months later I had to do the same service again come to find out they never did the work in the first place... go ahead take your chance if you want

Gary Rome Hyundai is so friendly and helpful whether it is the sales department or the service department. Gary himself is so present in the company and Ive been able to see him and his pups most times Ive been in the showroom. Jack Eisenstadt has helped me into three vehicles now and has been such a caring and thorough salesperson. Went to look at 2 2020 veloster ns and people were friendly and helpful. However, for these 2 cars to have about 3k miles on them they were pretty beat up (paint chips, many scratches, etc). Also the paint on the velosters and many other cars had minor orange peel (factory paint defect). Plus inconsistent, wide in places panel gaps on bumpers and fenders. These 2 cars were $30,000+ and definitely not worth the listed prices. Many of these cars had manufacturing defects. Now its not dealerships fault for defects, but the listed prices are just too high.

Went to Gary Rome today for a free recall service on my wifes Elantra. Not long after I handed over my car, I was told tht they recommend an alignment to which I agreed that they can perform for the approximately $85 charge. A while later I was informed that the complimentary inspection revealed that I am in need of replacing my cabin and engine air filters which they were happy to quote for about 7 times what each can be purchased for at AutoZone. How do I know the cost of these filters, because they are both brand new. I did not call them out or ask that the technician show me for fear that maybe in the month since I changed them perhaps a mouse crawled inside both and made nests or some other unforeseen reason. I declined the replacement filters and decided to confirm after pulling out of the parking lot. Attached are the pictures of the filters that Gary Rome Hyundai of Holyoke attempted to get me to replace at their dealership today. Upon removal of the glove box to investigate I found that not only are both of these filters gleaming white, but the technician also left the cabin filter housing open, which of course would have negated its usefulness entirely for the next 60,000 miles had I not found out it was open. After my service it was disclosed that they were not able to perform alignment on the rear wheels without replacing $520 worth of components that were seized up and that would be $85 for my four wheel alignment. However, after bringing this to the attention of the service manager, I was able to knock it down to paying for the two wheel alignment I actually received.

After being ignored for 45 minutes we gave up. And yes, we did ask for help, and we were told someone would be right with us. But that never happened.

I’ve now bought two vehicles from here and have had a great experience both times! This time I worked with Maria who helped get me the best deal possible and I even got to take my car home the same day which was very impressive! Maria also helped me finally switch insurances and introduced me to Colton Duarte from Geico, where I saved so much money even though I was going to be driving a brand new vehicle. The finance department really explained all of my options thoroughly and walked me through all of my options which was super helpful. Extremely horrible communication; only positive I can find here is the friendly service department staff (which accounts for the 2 star review instead of 1). My issues with this establishment started when I brought my car in because my speaker was rattling. Initially they could not hear the rattle and offered to keep the car and extra day to listen for the problem again on a Saturday morning. My representative, Sarah Gary, failed to inform the service department that they were to listen to the issue again and failed to call me for an update before the shop closed. Therefore, my car was stuck in the shop until Monday, leaving me with no transportation.They finally diagnosed the broken part on Monday morning after I called to complain.When I got my car, I was told I would receive a call in 5 days when my new part came into the shop. A week passed and I still hadn’t received a call, so I decided to call back. Turns out the part had been delivered and no one reached out. When I was transferred to Sarah, she told me she had an incorrect phone number for my account, which seemed odd because she had called me in the past.Nonetheless, I made my appointment to get the new stereo installed, but come the date of my appointment I had to cancel due to a snow storm. At that time no one informed me that the stereo would be sent back if it wasn’t installed in a certain time period. So, when I called to reschedule 2 weeks later I was told I would have to start from square one at the diagnosis stage. Unbelievably horrible experience.

Gary Rome Hyundai is by far one of the best dealerships from which I have purchased a vehicle. After doing my research, I knew that I wanted to test drive a Hyundai Kona. I also knew that I was partial to the Sunset Orange color, but there were not many to be found in the Boston area (where I live.) My niece works at Gary Rome and encouraged me to make an appointment and drive out to Western Mass. Im glad that I did. All of my interactions were extremely positive - starting with Chris Fenton in sales, Keith in Finance, the service staff, General Manager, and even Jerry (the owners father.) They made the purchase process easy, and went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with my purchase. As always, I received nothing less than great and courteous service. I love the 2016 Santa Fe Sport, one of my best cars. In New England, I love the traction in the Snow, because of the ability to lock all 4x4 with a flip of the switch. Should use that feature in your advertising. Had a Honda CRV - it sucked in snow! This place is amazing! I went to test drive a couple cars on a Saturday and I liked the 2018 Tucson, but it was out of my price range. John L. (the salesman that helped me out) tried to do his best to find a car that would be in my price range that was already on the lot. There were not many options, so I left and John told me he would keep looking around for me to try to find a car in my price range. The NEXT day he called me because he found a 2014 Tucson with low mileage and a low price. The 2014 Tucson ended up in an odd situation and Gary Rome didnt end up buying it because of a medical situation that was going on with the car, so he called me and informed me that they would not be getting the 2014 Tucson anymore and it was back to the drawing board. I told him I would look online at the other Gary Rome dealerships around the area to see if I see anything I really like. He sent me a silver Kia Sorento that was in my price range, but I did not like the interior design. Then, I found a black 2016 Kia Sorento online at Gary Rome Kia and he had the car shipped over to Gary Rome Hyundai THE SAME DAY! I went to go see the car the same day I spotted it on the website. He worked very hard finding the right car for me and he did not pressure me into anything AT ALL. They worked with me and found a price that was in my price range. I highly recommend John L. at Gary Rome Hyundai, he is very informative, knowledgeable, and friendly. The staff at Gary Rome Hyundai is amazing! Gary is a very friendly, nice guy that loves to meet all of the customers that come into the dealership.

Amazing service! I left another Hyundai dealership because despite buying 4 cars from them, I learned how little they valued my business. Gary Rome has been wonderful since I switched. I want to start by saying that my Wife and i had a Good experience at this dealership so far, i asked for 100% Honesty and got it i don’t like the beating around the bush like most people tend to do when they are a salesperson. Larry was able to provide my Wife and i with what we were looking for that was an SUV with low mileage for this family of four i liked how he asked if we had a color in mind of which we wanted the vehicle and even he did not have it available just the question showed us that he was interested in what we wanted.Also the process was rather quick and painless i would have loved that the vehicle a Hyundai Tucson had come with weather matts but it did not that is the only reason its not five star rating he did say he would try to get them for me but that is not a for sure thing im really hoping he gets back to me with a “Hey good news i was hable to get you those matts when can you come pick them up” its the small things like that, that complete a great salesperson and im hoping he can make it happen so if you are looking for a good sales person that keeps it a 100% with you and gets things done so far that sound like you’re go to person would have to be Larry. Overall the service was fine, however I was dismayed to see a service staff member standing in the reception area (chatting with the desk staff) who was NOT wearing a mask. While I can understand the technicians not wanting to wear masks in the service area (where cars are being worked on), its completely unacceptable for this person to not wear one in the small reception area, where customers are coming and going. What gives?

Ive always brought my Elantra to GR for her service needs since I purchased her. The particular visit was exceptional due to Davids attention to detail. I had randomly requested information on my warranty, knowing that the expiration was close at hand. While we chatted about the cost for a possible new warranty (which was much more costly than I had expected) the conversation segued into Trade In! The idea was farthest from my mind as it could be, but as we talked David was genuine, honest, and helpful. So, one oil change and tire rotation later...Im seriously considering the idea!Kudos to David (Gary Rome) - hes an exceptional associate!

Website does not have place to offer suggestions that the email said they were looking for to learn from. My tire pressure has never been above 33 cold and I notice now it is supposed to be 36. thank you for not leaving my lights on this time as I always leave them on automatic. everything is fine. I am very happy with the car

I purchased my car at another Hyundai dealership and had an issue with my car. My dealership had my car for over an hour and a half and could not find anything wrong with my vehicle.I needed a second opinion and brought my car into Gary Rome to see if they could find the issue.Within minutes they diagnosed the issue and fixed the problem within a reasonable amount of time and were very friendly, professional and knowledgable. We drove almost 2 hours to get our new car from Gary Rome. Dealing with them via e-mail was a smooth process. They gave us a competitive quote and we reached a deal after a few e-mail exchanges. We scheduled a time on a Saturday and in less than an hour we were ready to travel back home in our new car.
