I purchased a new front load washer and the two men who came did a great job setting it up, removing our old washer and even adjusting our old dryer so that the door would open correctly for our new washer. They went above and beyond to make sure we were all set. The customer service at the store was also very helpful (thanks Kevin!) and I walked out feeling confident in what I was buying.

Northgate has been my go-to appliance store since homeownership. I have always been able to depend on them to provide quality appliances at a reasonable price. Delivery/install service is top notch!

Poor Customer ServiceMy husband and I came to buy appliances at your Holland at 4:45 on Tuesday 21st. We wandered around the store for 20 minutes without a sales person even acknowledging us. Finally I went and stood by the sales desk where there were 3 sales staff working with other customers. Not one person even made eye contact with us… a simple “ we’ll be right with you” would have went a LONG way! Finally at 5:15 we left the store and will never go back. We’ll give our business to someone who wants our business!

No one offered any assistance or even looked up or smiled and welcomed us into there building

*Dont buy from a big-box store!* I didnt know this before I bought my appliances, but big box stores dont do any of their own installs and follow up service is terrible. We just bought a dishwasher from Best Buy and within 2 days were having problems. Spent an hour and a half on the phone to try and get help, the soonest they can even send someone to LOOK is 2 weeks out. Called Northgate and Brandon gave me a helpful tip over the phone within a minute of calling. Will never buy from a big box again.

Bought a refrigerator that lasted one month, took another month to get a refund after they couldn’t fix it. Northgate wouldn’t refund the credit card transaction fee. So I paid $140 to haul a refrigerator down a flight of stairs and then up again one month later. Great experience!

Northgate appliance really helped us understand a few things to look for in our new dishwasher and explained that they have little inventory because they simply cannot get the orders to come to them even though they are trying. I think we are going to wait until stock comes back.

Just got our new appliances today from Northgate! Our customer service with Mark in the showroom was great, and he made sure to help point us in the right direction with what appliances would fit our needs. Steve is also very courteous and helpful when he delivered our appliances. Our dishwasher was a bit of a hassle to install and he was able to make sure it fit and looked great! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for appliances!

So my refrigerator for unknown reasons worked when I unplugged it, then when I plugged it back in would not work. I contacted Northgate Appliance because the online information stated they were an appliance repair shop.I called Northgate on November 16, 2020, at approximately 4:20P, and spoke with a male subject who identified himself as Brandon. I asked Brandon if they repaired refrigerators and Brandon’s response was, yes if you purchased it from us.Well, I did not purchase the refrigerator from them and I advised Brandon I guess I would take my business elsewhere.Don’t waste your time with Northgate as a repair alternative, there are far to many people who are willing to take your/my money to repair your/my appliances.Northgate.......If your NOT a repair shop, then STOP identifying yourself as a repair shop in google! Like I said, there are far to many people who are willing to take my money to complete the needed repair. In addition, Brandon’s response tells me and I hope others that they should take their business elsewhere.

I shopped at a few places before my friend told me to go to Northgate. Wow, what a difference. I have a couple of unusual sizes and had no idea what I needed to know until I went there. Brandon helped me. Guy knows his stuff, seriously. Laid back, no pressure, beautiful show room and I’m now confident that my kitchen will be perfect. I love that they do everything in house. As I was at Brandon’s desk, the installer was next to him and gave me further advice. First time I had fun shopping for appliances.PS. Brandon gave me a great recipe and I tried it. Over a month ago my husband went into the store to see if they could order a starter for our oven since ours went out. The gentleman that helped him supposedly ordered the starter but the following week we received no phone call. My husband went in the store the following week to see if they had received the part and the sales man couldn’t find any record of the part being ordered. The sale person was snide with my husband about this. Don’t worry we went to another store and ordered a new stove by a store that not only called us once, but twice. I will never suggest northgate appliance to anyone I know.

I went in search of a side by side fridge without a water/ice maker. Mark helped me out. He asked all the right questions. I ended up with a fridge I did not expect. Mark was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

We needed to get our washing machine fixed and the gentleman came out at 4:30. He spent 2 hours checking out our washing machine trying to get it to work, to no avail. However, he was really apologetic that he had to leave without it being fixed. He answered all of our questions and was very honest and very open about the costs and our different options. I would very highly recommend Northgate. We have had nothing but good experience with them and will continue to do business there. Thank you Dave and Don!

We ordered a freezer from Northgate on April 28th. They took our credit card info and told us freezer would be in on May 13th and they would call us. No call. I called the following week but freezer not in. Expected in a couple of more weeks. Waited. Still no call. Delivery date continued to be extended. Finally, on June 20th, we received a call that our freezer was in. Dame day wr drove to pick up. Salesman had NO REQIURED MASK ON.Salesman was a disasterWaiting to happen. While trying to move other peoples merchandise around, he tripped and fell and then another freezer really took a tumble. I had to ask for transaction paperwork as none wad given to me. I walked away with no delivery date on invoice.I drove back down to store again on June 29th asking for paperwork showing date of receipt. They could not produce. Per 2 people talking with me all I need to do is wait a week and request again.Well I waited until July 9th and requested appropriate paperwork showing date of receipt. Received paperwork in mail today with NO DATE OF RECEIPT...same ad what esd given to me when we picked up the freezer.TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Wish we never heard of this place.

These people are seriously amazing here! Ordered a part for my washing machine from Northgate despite not purchasing the washer from them originally. The lady found the exact part I needed and put the order in for me without requiring money upfront. Within 2 days I was able to pick up the part. Highly recommend for any of your appliance needs!

My mounted microwave stopped working and I decided to stop in to Northgate appliance to inquire on service since I used then twice before for my stove and they were very good. No one was at the service desk but there was a man at a computer that asked me what I needed help with. I told him my problem and he asked if I purchased the microwave there and I said no, then he said he couldnt help me. I asked why and he said they only service what they sell. I asked when this policy changed and he said that has always been the policy. I told him that wasnt true because they have came out to my house to service a stove that was not purchased with them and he acted surprised. Not to mention he stayed seated at his desk while talking to me making minimal eye contact and paying more attention to something on his screen. I told him thank you for the information and I no longer was interested in getting service with them and walked away. As I walked away he must have realized he was wrong and yelled, I didnt say I wouldnt help you.. but actually he did and now wanted to take it back because there were people there who I hope heard our conversation. This is the worst customer service Ive ever received and I was made to feel like I wasnt even welcome there. The past two times I recieved service and repairs from Northgate, an older gentleman helped me and he was extremely helpful and kind. I will never do business here again based on this experience and if it was possible to give a lower rating, I would.

I knew which one I wanted, call Friday afternoon and it was delivered and installed Saturday morning. Wonderful experiece, saleman was very helpful despite being extremely busy. I cannot recomend them enough.

Their price for washer and dryer was just under $300 more than the Big Box store which is a little disappointing. However the fact that you got somebody to help you was sure nice and they have them in stock. I am having a little bit of buyers remorse Im thinking maybe I should just hold out for the $300 at The Big Box store.

I have had a couple of experiences at this business and they have all been very pleasant. I am most happy with my most recent experience. My husband walked in to purchase a used dryer after ours has been out of service for several weeks. After talking with the associate, he asked what dryer we had. He recommended servicing ours, even though it is an older dryer, and explained that is should be a relatively easy fix. Not only did this save us money, but put a dryer back in service that will still give us many years of use. It was very apparent they are serving their customers needs, and not just selling appliances!

We had a great experience at Northgate shopping for a new dishwasher. The sales staff was very knowledgable and friendly. They also asked us a lot of good questions wanting to make sure we had the best product to fit our needs. Steve did a great installation for us as well! We will be sure to use them in the future.

Walked in looking for appliances and was shown a select few. Not very much knowledge by the associate. Went to another local business (ABC Warehouse) and purchased the same stuff and got more knowledge by the general manager and a much better deal.

I used to work at Lowes and got a lot of good deals there. But I looked I to Northgate whichis quite a drive from where I live. Chose a Whirlpool dishwasher that I was looking at for a better price then lowes had. Been happy with it. People are extremely helpful. Will be back there to buy an induction stove.

Will never recommend them. Horrible customer service. We live in Lowell and were concerned about getting service if we ever need it. We purchased a front load washer and dryer. We were assured there wouldnt be any problem servicing us from that distance and that they did all the time. Sure enough, inside of 2 months our dryer had a water leak issue and I called for service. They gave me a number of a company in GR.

SUPER RUDE! I called a few days ago to see if my appointment time would still work because I ended up having a meeting that I needed to be at in person. A nice man told me that they would come out at 2pm so I could make it to my 4pm meeting. It is now 3pm the day of, I have taken time off work and no one has called. I then called the main number to see what was happening, and a different man answered and was beyond rude. I honestly have never been treated so poorly in my life. We will NEVER purchase anything again from here! We have purchased many high priced appliances from here only to receive the worst customer service! One of the purchases were on a front end loader washer and dryer (Electrolux) since weve purchased these we have had to have the washer repaired 4 times. We also purchased the extended warrenty...which by the way Electrolux refuses to stand behind, stating that we need to deal with where we purchased the extended warranty and Northgate referred us to Electrolux on this last (5th time fiasco!) Northgate has no URGENCY FOR TIME OR REPAIR MANAGEMENT...ESPECIALLY SEEING AS THIS IS NOT THE 1ST, 2ND, or even 3RD TIME FOR REPAIR! Good thing we were home...because when we started the wash....the washer started smoking, had we not been here this could have turned out to be a lot different! Now...not only have we already gone a week with no washer...they are saying it maybe 1st week of August or later! At least if we purchase something from Menards or one of the other box stores you know what your paying for!
