Just bought a van here. Traded in my old vehicle. Typical sales hubbabaloo. Over all satisfied with my purchase and experience. Already had something break though the next day. I called service and let them know Id be needing a loaner vehicle. They told me they would get back to me. That was 2 weeks ago.... still waiting.

Well first things first, I went into Sun Toyota with so much anxiety, it was my first time buying a car and I was so nervous! When you think of a dealership usually you go “oh they are gonna try and take all my money, they arent gonna respect my budget, etc” well as someone who had those same fears going in I am so relieved to say that Sun Toyota was so welcoming. The person who helped me with everything was Jen AND SHE WAS AWESOME!!! I am a college student at USF in need of a car. I been through a few dealers from New Port Richey to Clearwater in search of a used car. At first, it was to expensive for my budget however she did her due diligence to help me lower the car. She was on my side. She is a wonderful person not only as a salesperson but as a human generally. She is kind, informative, and doesn’t pressure into something you don’t want. She is determined to help you find your dream car and is willing to work with you to make it happen. She made the experience so much more than just going to buy a car. She made it comfortable to ask questions and help determine what was best for me. I am not paid to write this. I am expressing how great she was.

I have always heard of Sun Toyota but because I am in the East part of Tampa, I really thought it was too far to drive when there are about 5 Toyota dealerships within 10 to 15 minutes of where I live. I could not have been more wrong. I have had an amazing experience purchasing a vehicle for my son. I was told by two dealerships that what I was looking for did not exist and I should just increase my budget or change what I was looking for. I was in the market for an older Tacoma, that was in good shape, at a decent price that could be a first truck for my son.Paul Perry found this for me and I could not be more excited to give this to my son and know in my heart he will be safe and protected out on the road. Paul went through many requests that I had about the truck prior to me even seeing it. I asked him to make sure it was something he would put his child in... did it run well? Did it feel solid? Did it smell of the previous owner? Anything I asked... he would check on. I had poor experiences trying to find a car at two other dealerships before stopping at Sun Toyota. Everyone there was so welcoming and helpful! From start to finish, they made the car buying process much less stressful than other dealerships. Perhaps as important: THEY ARE WELL STOCKED! Even with the chip shortage, they had a rare model of the Toyota I wanted and offered me a very fair price for it. There was minimal negotiating needed and accessories thrown in. Zachary was my salesman and he was very honest with me about everything. He even took the car I wanted off the showroom floor to test drive rather than having me drive a similar model on the lot. Thats above and beyond! The accessory representative was very honest with me as well as to what I needed and didnt try to sell me on something I didnt need. The finance representative was absolutely amazing in explaining things to me and getting things done quickly without pressure. I would highly recommend Sun Toyota to anyone searching for a new or used car in the months ahead. They have the best selection of vehicles around and youll be treated much better than at other dealerships.

Patrick Chaban (in finance) lies. Do NOT work with him. He completely lied to us about purchasing the extra warranty and said it was a one time payment that can be paid with a credit card!!! Obviously we later found out that was a total lie and the extra fees were added to our monthly payment - which now we can’t afford and they said there is nothing they can do about it. Patrick denied the entire conversation. Total scam. There should be cameras in these rooms. Patrick is the most deceitful human I’ve ever met and truly hope no one has to go through what we did. We will never buy from them again unless Patrick is no longer employed there.

Do not shop here, but if you do make sure you record every conversation you have. They work in bad faith and will flat out lie to you. Do not work with Patrick in finance and make sure you ask to work with someone else. Take pictures of the contract that you and the sales rep agreed upon, finance will switch the numbers and you will end paying higher. Also when finance tells you that the warranty upgrade is a one payment, that you can pay with a credit card, it is a lie and that ends up being your monthly payment. We will never be back to this corrupt place.

Had an appointment at 11:40, my car was not started until 1:00. Car not finished until 4:00. maintenance was more expensive than I imagined. They have hybrid parking but allow non hybrid trucks and suvs to park there.

My husband and I were told free keys if we lost them. Now we have to have at least one set to get the free keys. This makes no sense at all. Worst place to get a a car. Make sure you read fine print on EVERYTHING. OR ELSE YOU PAY 700 DOLLARS OUT OF POCKET. REDICULOUS.

Went in not expecting much, just to see what we could look at or get approved for. No one greeted me in the lot so I walked in and spoke to the receptionist. She called over an associate by the name of Christina. Christina was able to find me a brand new Tacoma. She stated that it was the last one on the lot due to a microchip shortage. I was able to get a decent price on it and she shared her fries with me. I also had my windows tinted and they did an excellent job.

The first thing is that I send various emails to fix my First and Last Name because they have my information wrong. They write the information wrong because they always were in a rush to do the deal and to run your credit. Two weeks later still no answer from the dealer or salesperson to fix the information. The Dealers experience was fair, I drive 2 from where I live to visit the dealer and buy. It was my first time buying a car and I buy it. I was expecting more information from the sales persona and finance office. I feel like they took advantage of a first-time buyer. All the was fast ad in a process rush. I buy the car but it arrived the next day at the dealer, so they offer me a rental car. I thought I was nice to them but the vehicle didnt have gas and the GPS didnt work. I let the salesperson know but the excuse was they have another client and there is nothing they cant do right now. Just a few minutes later that a buy the car. The only good thing about the dealer was the person that sells the accessories for the car. Very patient and explain everything the right way and take his time to answer all my questions. He is the kind of person you expect from a dealership.

Thanks to Trey (in finance) for his theatrics and arrogant attitude we took his advise and went to Deluca Toyota in Ocala and bought a new 2022 4Runner. We not only saved $5,000 but had the nicest salesman and finance guy. We walked into SunToyota with a draft from the bank (guaranteed financing) and money to put down and the response from Trey was go ahead and go to Deluca Toyota because I can’t wait for you to come back here after they screw you over so I can laugh at you. This being because they wanted to give us $6,000 under market value for our 2020 Jeep Cherokee because it needed tires. By the way according to Trey you can’t go by KBB it’s not accurate. Very professional guy (NOT) and then told us don’t let the clothes fool you I’m from Tennessee, not quite sure what that meant but ok! I will say though our sales guy Jay Riggins was awesome and very nice! Jay you need to go to work at Deluca Toyota in Ocala they are a family owned business and they don’t treat you like another number.

Recently bought a used vehicle at this dealer.Pros: Exceptionally clean and spacious building and car lot. We worked with Louis Webster and he was incredibly patient with us. We were wanting to look at two vehicles at the same time because we had very young kids with us. He happily accommodated our request and let one of us look at one car while one of us test drove the other car. He was very nice and never rushed us once.Con: The time it took to finish up with financing took forever. As mentioned above, we had two very small kids with us.Overall: It was a pretty good buying experience. Better than weve experienced at other large name brand dealers. Outside of the time it took we didnt have any complaints. Ask for Louis Webster.

Jeff and nick took care of me so well. Finally settling on a car and all. Took the bank to finance me almost 2 months because they wanted to change my contract but Jeff handled it all. Nick is very professional. Down to earth. Overall a good experience besides the financing. But Im still waiting on my $25 gift card they were suppose to send me since they didnt put gas in my car when I came to finish up everything with the finance and all.

Purchased a certified used 2012 vehicle in 2017. Fast forward to 4 years, the vehicle started making a cluttering noise. Keep in mind Ive changed the oil in this car at every 10k. I purchased the vehicle because of the lifetime warranty they advertised at the time, as if theyd stand by their vehicle so as long as the customer did their due diligence. Anyways, vehicle turned out to be burning oil at an unusually fast rate which is the cause of the issue. They processed the claim and I was informed the warranty company declined the fix of the engine because I could not show proof of two oil change and did not change engine and cabin filter at 30k. I had a good laugh😂. Note to self. Toyotas arent as dominantly reliable as ppl claim it is compared to their competitors. And dont purchase vehicles based on dealerships good will, they can find a way to get out of everything. Make your purchase based on your need and take any statement they make that sound honorable and caring with a grain of salt. In a couple of years when I get back in the car market Im exploring other brands. Not saying to not use their dealership but dont automatically purchase a Toyota because of the reputation. Its not as reliable as one may be led to believe.

It was a good over all experience, they showed the cars around and let us test drive it. The paper work and everything was explained and was easy. Only complaint I have is they were supposed to detail my car and clean it from inside before I take it and that was never done when I came back after a couple of weeks and told them it wasn’t cleaned from the inside they said we did detail it and ignored my request and so I had to go back home with dirt in my car :(Update: the General manager was understanding and he reached out to me and had my car detailed! So I just wanted to thank him for that!

Jason Bulluck was beyond phenomenal. We came in with a really specific ask, hoping it would be easy to handle and Jason was right there with us. He helped us work through our needs with financing and even got us a great trade-in deal -- but it doesnt even stop there. Our trade-in vehicle put us in a really tight spot, and we needed some help getting it to the dealer and getting home. Jason went out of his way to help us get the trade-in to the dealership and get my partner back home afterward. There are no words for how above and beyond that customer service is! If we have to go back to Sun Toyota for any reason, we will definitely be looking for Jason again. Thanks so much for everything!

We’ve been going to Sun since before they expanded and moved. We’ve purchased two cars from them. I would have given them 5 stars, but the service department!! Or should I call it disservice?!! Why do you have the little old man greet you? What is the point of making an appointment? We stood there for twenty minutes. No one said anything to us. The little old man was running back and forth but from what we could see not really doing anything. We finally said something. We had a appointment, it’s not like we dropped out of the sky but that’s how we felt. We purchased two cars from Sun, we’ve always taken them to sign for service. We don’t feel like valued customers. All they have to do is LOOK at the computer screen and see our entire history there. I felt like nothing more than a number. I could get better service and feel more welcome taking my car to the tire place across the street and pay less. Give me a reason to keep taking my car there for service??

I found Sun Toyota while doing a web search for a Toyota Highlander hybrid.I called SunToyota and salesman Louis Webster answered my call.Although he was a relatively new salesman at Sun Toyota he spoke to me with experience, confidence and enthusiasm.We negotiated a price for the vehicle. I put down a deposit to hold the vehicle.The rest of the day I spent getting loan approval from my financial institution.By the end of the day I got approval and a check cut for the purchase of the vehicle.I called Lewis And told him I would be driving from Jacksonville to Sun Toyota to pick up the vehicle.Unfortunately the night before I was to leave, a conversation with my wife lead me deciding to not buy the Highlander.When I call Lewis the next morning to give him the bad news he was more than gracious and understanding about the family situation and not making the purchase.He did offer me additional incentives and said that if there was anything else he could do to close the deal he would try to do it.I told him to deal was perfect it was just the conflict with my.I told him I would wait until after summer and if I made another purchasing decision for a Toyota I will call him first.Lewis was very understanding and immediately worked out the deposit issue.I was impressed with Lewis’ customer service and I’m sure as he will be one of Sun Toyota’s top performing salesman.Although I live in Jacksonville Florida when it comes time to buy a Toyota I will call Sun Toyota first.

Had a wonderful experience at Sun Toyota, yet again! 2nd vehicle purchased from Alex Peno. Process was a little challenging, but we were able to find a happy medium. 10/10 recommend Sun Toyota, even after purchase Alex still checks in every few days to make sure everything is still good.

All in all I had a good experience buying from the dealership. With one exception, everyone I worked with was prompt, helpful and on-point. Soteer Lotfy, the salesman who guided me through the purchase, is a credit to the dealership. Abe, the finance manager, came through for me in a big way, too. There are good folks who work here that can make your purchase swift, pleasant and efficient.

Cher Paxton is an amazing salesperson. We were looking to get a car for our 16 yo daughter. Cher communicated with our daughter to find out her preferences as well as ours. She was super friendly and very kind. Most importantly she was very honest. We came to look at a car that had not yet been inspected, it was a recent trade-in. Me and my boyfriend had the worst experience we could possibly have at this Toyota. We still have the truck that we purchased but we are not satisfied at all. We feel as if everything was a scam. We didn’t get the answers we wanted to the questions we have. Everything was a big secret. We couldn’t receive a call back from the finance manager we working with. And after all was said and done all the finance manager, named Bedo had to say was “please don’t leave me a bad review. We have family’s to feed” as if we don’t have families to feed as well. As we walk out with a different deal than what was originally made. We are so angry with sun Toyota. And we are not finished yet. Apparently I can’t speak to anyone who is higher up though.

Like all car dealerships you have sharks, but then you got a few who quite personable and wont push for the higher car that could be out of your buget.Ask for Vinny F. He really took the time and didnt mind how indecisive I was. We took a good portion of his day, jumping from laggy computers to the damp outside. We walked the lot, picked out cars and chit chatted. Never feeling rushed nor pushed to a car or truck my husband and I didnt need. If and when we do get another vehicle, Ill definitely ask for him again, the experience he gave was undoubtedly the best time I ever had to deal with at a dealership.

I had to drive 2 hours to make it to the dealer. to close a deal that was discussed over the phone. When i arrived they completely changed up on me. gave me a price that was never Spoken of over the phone. I was dealing wit the finance manager and asked him to get me in touch with the general manager and told me if you dont like the price have a nice day . horrible experience definitely dont recommend this place!
