Who knew we had such a great business in High Point! After my computer geek closed his business during the pandemic I wondered where I would get the tech help I needed. My problem was small but big to me. I had paid the registration fee for an online 9 hour conference and wanted to watch it on my television instead of the small laptop screen. I thought I had the right cable but could not find it. I couldnt wait for one to be shipped. I called six other stores with no success but Intrex appeared in a google search so I called. Eric told me the cable I was looking for was not the type I needed. He told me what I needed and that they sold it. Well, who knew that I already had a cable like that and had wondered what I bought it for when I purchased my laptop. Had been sitting in a drawer for five years. Problem solved. Because of Erics great help I didnt buy a second cable but they won a customer for life. I will be going there when I am ready to replace my current laptop in the future. Jeff also gave lots of helpful advice when I called back and was waiting to speak with Eric. Those two guys represented their company well. Even though they lost my current $10 sale, they will be getting a bigger sale in the future. Its nice to know there is a company nearby that focuses only on computers so I dont have to rely on the big box stores for tech advice.

Great place to get those odd computer parts, network items, install gear, pre-built PCs, and at competitive with Amazon prices. Who knew we had a place like that in High Point. They usually have what I need and if they dont they can oder it for you. The guys in there are very knowledgeable and friendly. Its a small store compared to the big Intrex in Greensboro, but they have the necessities and a capable and helpful staff. I was impressed when I went in the 1st time with their variety of inventory, their warm reception, accurate knowledge of their products, and prices.

If you have ever had an offshore techie take control of your computer and block everything in it and tell you you will never be able to use it again this is the place to go! Slow in diagnostic repair. Estimated cost is way more than price for new computer. Place is a rip off. I will never do business with them again. My laptop has a 1tb hard drive and said it was failing and suggested a small size like 256 ssd. NEGATIVE. Take ur business elsewhere.

In todays world of internet commerce, its nice to still have a local computer store. Intrex is the last of a dying breed. Service is top notch, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have always had a good experience with this Intrex store. i cannot speak to any other because I have only used this store since 2007. I have bought three computers from them since 2007 - a very high end custom tower, a standard tower (off the shelf) tower for the grandchildren to use when visiting and a laptop for travel. The custom tower has been upgraded over the years and I have always been happy with the three computers and the sales and service I received during the upgrades. My experiences have been so consistently positive that I go to them first for any computer issues regarding sales and service.

I had purchased a new monitor and could not get it to work. David, at the Battleground Ave. store, replaced video card and in short time, my new widescreen monitor is working perfectly. The work was done while I waited and at reasonable cost. They do excellent work and recommend them for hands-on computer service.

So glad I accidentally happened across this location. I have some basic computer knowledge but nothing in depth. I bought a gaming tower from Craigslist and these guys helped me choose everything I needed for it to be optimal. I asked a lot of questions and they answered all of them, including showing me how to install the parts myself rather than attempting to make me bring it in. I am so happy I didnt have to deal with geek squad or big store prices. They also have a military discount. I will be back.

I love the fact that an actual computer store exist where you can actually see what is on the shelf and have great customer service on troubleshooting and possible solutions. The folks here have come through every time I run into an issue or wanted to upgrade my PCs.

Very straight forward, incredibly fast repair. These guys are completely professional, give you a clear idea of what to expect price-wise and repair-wise. I decided to try them out after reading several excellent reviews of them on reddit, and having experienced how great they are I wont be going anywhere else for computer-related issues. Went above and beyond. At first told me that theyd only be able to copy all my files to my new hard drive and not be able to get the OS onto my ssd because of how many gigs I had, but they were able to do it and I greatly appreciated it. Also informed me on which fan I need to replace in my pc.

Meh, you have to always do do your homework no matter where you go. I have bought many items, big and small, cheap and expensive over the years. They are largely close to what you can get on-line price-wise, so the convenience you cant beat. I build all my own computers, so its handy that when something fails, theyre going to be there. Over-all, I recommend them for your local support.

First and foremost, the service was exceptional and the guy attending me was really informative, friendly, and helpful... However, after buying the part I wanted for my custom tower - I decided to skip out installing it myself in order to guarantee a clean/neat installation without me investing the time it would take... When I picked it up, it was installed correctly and worked fine, but the wires were not put behind the back plate as we had discussed when I left the PC. I had explained that I didnt want to do it myself specifically for that reason and was guaranteed it would be done. Despite my unhappiness with the workmanship, I decided to simply pay and do my own work in the future.If you need advice and affordable parts, this place is a great choice, but if you have the saavy to do your own installations - I would go that route instead. If you dont know how to install things yourself or have a closed tower where sloppy work wont be noticed, then these guys are cheap and do get the job done quickly.

Usually have good experiences at Intrex. Just got back from a trip to the High Point store off Samet. Went in because I saw a product listed on their website. Found product was not available. Gentleman behind the counter said that it was listed on the website because they still have one, but it is in RMA. Not sure why it would be listed if I cannot buy it. Next step up of that product is MUCH more expensive. Inquired on that one, and he said it was a certain price. I went to the product and it had a lower price on the tag on the shelf for it than what it said (they must have marked it up recently). He said he would honor the price on the tag. I get to the counter, and he then would not honor our company discount because he is honoring the price they messed up on. He said he would be taking a loss if he did that. Here is some advice...Sometimes you take a loss when you mess up...its business. The jist is that I went for one product..found they have it listed when you cant buy it, then would not have our company discount honored on the more expensive version because they forgot to change the price tag when they marked it up.

Terrible experience! I went into the Hornaday location in Greensboro with a simple, straightforward question and was treated in a terse, disinterested, dismissive manner. I shrugged it off and asked my question differently which only seemed to further annoy the person at the register with whom I was speaking. At that point I announced my intent to never return to this or any other Intrex store and left. I was nice about it, but was not going to stand for such poor service. Intrex - train your people or get rid of those who dont possess basic customer service skills... you are not the only game in town!

What a fantastic PC repair shop, the techs spent hours working on my Win 7 PC, yet were unsuccessful; however, I was only charged for their bench rate a reasonable amount. Then once I arrived home my Win 10 PC was giving me problems, and I called and spoke with Victor, the tech who had worked on my PC. We spent over 2 hours on the phone, attempting various fix it, intrex again, no charge. Additionally, all their work is covered by a 30 day guarantee, which I have used several times, again, NO CHARGE. Today I was exceptionally wowd! My MB replacement from ASUS isnt working, they offered to test it for me and even had a spare Power Switch laying around - turns out the power switch was part of the problem; the other half was when the MB caught fire. :-/This wasnt a product from Intrex, it was purchased directly through New Egg.

Go in one time, they offer you a price, then when you go in again, they try to double it. Cant comment on the quality of their work, but can comment that either one hand doesnt know what the other is doing, or they pull bait-and-switch tactics.

Simply stated, these folks at Intrex in High Point are a rare find! Everyone connected with this location are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and honest as the day is long. I found that the prices of computer components are comparable to mail order firms, and the cost of every service is listed for you to see before leaving your computer.I recently had two 8TB drives installed to supplement the two existing 3TB drives already installed in my computer, and they also installed a new 500GB SSD with windows 10 to supplement the existing 250GB SSD with Windows 7 Ultimate already installed. I wanted both pairs of Hard Drives configured in Raid 1, and I wanted the two SSDs configured with a dual boot option.Since I knew that this installation was well beyond my pay grade, I asked Intrex to do the work. I wont bore you with the challenges which this installation entailed, but I can say that the resident Wizard, Victor, completed the work promptly, exactly as I had requested, and the charge for this work was more than fair.In conclusion, I hesitated to write this review since I consider the High Point Intrex to be a rare find which I should keep to myself -- but that wouldnt be fair to you or the High Point Intrex folks -- so I will simply say give them a shot, you wont be disappointed!
