The hot shoe for my canon 6D mark ii was broken and I dropped of the camera on Thursday and received it by Tuesday. The turn around time is very fast and Modi is such a great person. Would definitely come back again and he is very good at what he does!

I dropped my camera with a 70-300 lens attached to it and the mount on lens snapped off and broke. I brought it in to Mordicai and he said he would call me with price of the repair and the day I could pick it up. 2 or 3 days later he quoted a price and explained it would take 2 or 3 weeks to get part from overseas but once he got it he would be able to repair it in 1 day. No big deal I am not a pro and it was not an emergency so I said go ahead with it. I believe it was between 2 and 3 weeks when he called and said it was ready. When I picked it up the price was exactly what he quoted me it would be. I attached lens to camera and it worked as if nothing ever happened to it. I couldnt be happier with the service he provided along with some advise on an upgrade I was thinking about. I would never consider going anywhere else for any repairs that I may need in the future. Tripod fell while camera was on it and the LCD screen cracked and was black - Modi was amazing and let me meet him halfway in Smithtown instead of having to drive to Hicksville, ordered the part he needed and repaired the camera all within less than a week. Cost was less than Canons estimate through their website product support, and turnaround time was much quicker. Overall Im so happy with the support and individualized care Modi provided; he was so helpful and Id trust him with any other camera issues in the future.

If you go anywhere on Long Island except here, you made a mistake. I came in with a damaged Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, the oldest version canon doesn’t even fix them anymore. I brought it here and it was the best experience I could ask for. Modi is top notch best of the best. I brought it on Tuesday and have a shoot this weekend and thought there would be no way I could get it before the weekend but thought it didn’t hurt to ask. Not only did I get it, I got it two days later! A great guy, truly and the lens is working flawlessly I cried when I tested it. Thank you, Modi!!

My camera and 600 mm lens hit the ground hard. The camera mount ring was pulled out, the AF was disabled. I dropped the camera off at Westbury Camera on a Tuesday, Mordi gave me an estimate for the repairs a couple of hours later. The price was very reasonable. I had the camera back on Thursday. It works great! I was thrilled with the quality of the service and how friendly and professional Mordi is. If I ever have a problem with my camera or a lens, I will definitely be going back to Westbury Camera.

Seems like a really nice guy and in a convenient location for Long Islanders HOWEVER, I went in for a quote for some bad water damage and was told $900. Being that this was nearly the price of a used camera I took it to Photo Tech Repair Service in NYC - the official B&H Photo repair parter - and was quoted $330.Got the camera back from Photo Tech and works like new so Im not sure where the extra 570$ came from in Westbury Cameras quote.I highly suggest sending your camera in or taking a train to NYC and getting a quote from Photo Tech ($20 to ship) before getting the work done locally. I would rather spend $20 on secured shipping than pay almost three times the price.

I went in to inquire about getting one of my lenses repaired. I’ve never had to do this before, so I was a little apprehensive. The gentleman was really knowledgeable, and pretty patient with my questions regarding what was wrong with my lens. I left it with him, and hoped for the best. My Canon 24-70 f/2.8L USM wasnt working anymore, zoom was not going past 28mm. Canon USA is no longer servicing this lens as its deemed old. Very disappointed in Canon especially for an L lens. Didnt know what do do next. My wife searched on google and found Westbury Camera.I called them and they immediately understood what the issue was and told me to bring the lens, met the owner and he couldnt have been nicer, he was very knowledgeable as well, I had the lens back 3 days later all fixed and in perfect condition, zoom ring works perfectly again and the lens is tack sharp. I cracked the LCD screen on my Nikon D750. After learning that Nikon will not repair an international camera under any circumstances, I found Westbury Camera. They were willing to order parts with no deposit after troubleshooting the problem over the phone. I wanted to bring the camera in just to make sure. I delivered the camera to the shop on a Sunday, the parts were ordered, the camera was repaired, and back in my hands on Wednesday morning. Excellent customer service. Mody is such a kind man! He fixed my camera lens (I got sand in it). It was fixed exactly when he said it would be, for a reasonable price. He let me pick my camera up from his home, bc it was easier for me to get to.

The bag that I had my 5DIII in fell and of course it landed on the front of the lens. The glass was fine but the zoom ring wouldnt turn. I brought it to Westbury Camera and Modi knew immediately what the problem was. He quoted a price and told me it would be ready in 5 to 7 days. I got his call on the 6th day. The lens is now as good as new and cost me exactly what he quoted. Modi is a gentleman and a man of his word. I would definitely bring my equipment to him whenever I need a repair.

I went to Westbury Camera on Sunday and received a warm welcome and excellent advice re: my camera from Mordi. He showed me how to properly use my camera for all lighting scenarios. This place is not close to where I live but one of the only places open on a Sunday. Mordi stayed open much later just to help me instead of having me come back. He also gave me a great deal on new accessories that I purchased for my camera. He is the best, and I will always go to him for all of my camera needs and will refer him to everyone.

Amazing service and great advice that saves you money for the future

Last January, when we began shooting our TV pilot, we rented the studio from Westbury Camera, which came with a nice dressing room and a large adjacent room for us to cater food for our crew. Its a family owned business. And they really gave us the red carpet treatment. When we realized we needed more lights or additional tripods and diffusers, since we were in a camera store, all we had to do was ask. Its a great place for us to shoot the pilot. Now that we sold the show, we are looking forward to going back and shooting season one with 13 episodes.

The best camera shop, with INCREDIBLE customer service. I had a cracked filter that was stuck on my lens that I could not remove. I went to the store they were closing but I asked if there was anything that could be done. He reopened and fixed my camera in five minutes and also gave me a lens cap since I had lost mine. Brought it here, and was given the precise cost of parts, and time for repairs etc.. So I brought my camcorder to Modi here, allll the way from Eastern L.I., after going through Best Buy and PC Richards (closet proximity to my home) telling me they could not fix it and guess what? He fixed it. In a few days. Reasonably $$. He even offered to take the camcorder to his home further east than the shop so I wouldn’t have to drive so far to pick it up. Cute little place lot of used equipment, a lot of used lenses for Canon and Nikon, the owner seem to know the stuff and have decent prices, he was not able to help me out personally so he directed me to the place that would be able to help me out. Modi is the MAN. After a terrible experience with Nikons customer service, I was clueless on how to get my Nikon D3400 fixed. I called Modi at Westbury Camera on a Friday afternoon and he told me hell stay open if I immediately came down. I obliged and he had it ready for me, repaired with new parts and all that SAME weekend! Furthermore, he saved me an hour drive to his shop by meeting me closer to my house. Westbury Camera is an absolute life saver. I came to them with a broken advance lever on my film camera (Minolta X-700), and they were able to fix it in just 30 minutes. The lever was badly broken, and they were able to come up with a solution so that I could still use my camera for work. I’d recommend Westbury for any and all camera needs. They’re great people.

Im a photographer specializing in boudoir/lingerie/pinup style portraits of women, I go a few times a month to rent the studio. They have three large studio rooms, including a large green screen wall and a bed in another. They have a dressing room for the models to change into, and several props to work with. Finally a place with adequate surroundings! The models and I love shooting here because we have so much to work with!

Had an issue with the lens and my camera and needed to fix it asap and thank goodness for this wonderful place was able to fix it quick and went above and beyond to help me out and get it done. If you need some TLC for your camera I definitely recommend this place!

Great place, my camera was broken for 2 years was not able to use, i took it to best buy where i purchased it, but they werent able to fix it, the girl tried everything to even put a new lens but nothing, I was told about this place and I bought in my camera. My Cannon mark g7 ii was broken. The lcd was completely detached from the camera base. I thought it was no hope of fixing it. When I brought it in, the guy working there was very professional and informative. He let me knew everything up front. Nothing sugar coated and straight to the point. My camera looks brand new again. Really excellent fast service. Definitely would recommend anyone going there for a camera repair. They also have a nice showroom of cameras and exclusive accessories, a nice photography room as well as a green room. This is my destination for all my needs when it comes to equipment , photo , video shoots etc.

It was my first coming to this store for maintenance for my camera and could not have been more pleased with the experience. They were able to quickly identify the problem and resolved it within the day. THE WORST EVER!!!, I went there on 3/21/19 and dropped off my camera for repair and one month later no repairs was done. I tried calling to get an update on my camera. NO ANSWER for weeks and when I finally got someone he said he wasnt in the country. WHAT!!, If you want to go there and get frustrated. GO. Oh by the way there hours are the WORST.
