I know from experience that it is difficult to find employees that dont just do the job, but really, really care about their customers and their coworkers. I dont know HOW he does it, but store manager, Mr. Eric Dent, continually creates an atmosphere within his Hickory Hills store, that makes me and other customers really feel GENUINELY APPRECIATED!!!!! This attitude permeates throughout Mr. Dents staff who, by the way, are ALWAYS helpful, efficient, AND SMILING!!!!! This delightful atmosphere is even present in Mr. Dents absence!! Since Mr. Dent has taken over the responsibilities of this Hickory Hills store, I once again, ENJOY the Dollar General shopping experience!!

Horrible customer service. Don’t dare try an fb give feedback to a manager because it will be like talking to a brick wall. If the store manager is there you can find him in the aisles gossiping and talking.

Im very pleased with the Store, Everyone there is very nice..Especially the tall black man I think he is the manager there..wonderful man..always helps me out,and always gets me a shopping cart when there is none..each and every time I come there..the girls at register beautiful and friendly always greet me with a smile..I have been to lots of Dollor General stores..but yours is the friendliest..Im very happy when I go there.the only complaint I have is Not a darn thing..merry Christmas to all them good workers you have at hickory Hills .keep up the good work. I was in there at about 730pm yesterday. The gentleman at the register was super nice and pleasant. I forgot a bag and he even ran it out to me as I was getting in my car! Besides him that is the only good thing about this place. With no exaggeration it was myself and 3 customers in there and we were all dodging the mice running around. Everyone was screaming and in the 5 min I was there I saw 2 mice. I was just getting ziplock bags and would not even consider any food. It was so bad I even checked the zip lock box for chew holes. The place has to be infested !

To tight to maneuver the carts in the aisles. In my opinion, some things were over priced for being a DG. Many Dollar Tree items priced for more. They could use a moving belt registry as well. I had a large order with minimal counter space to put things. Nevertheless, convenience had its ups and downs

Went in looking for specific items. Found the section I needed, however piles of freight waiting to be processed stacked in the aisles everywhere with nobody working on it. Had to move some to actually be able to reach over to grab some of the items I went there for. The rest was probably sitting in those unstocked boxes :/ Store wasnt really organized and a mess being they had just opened when I went. The cashier at least was friendly and did say hello when I walked in.

This store has so much to offer! I like Dollar general cause its cheap and you find some great useful stuff that you need. I needed plates, cups, and glass Ware. Hmm a dollar for ceramic dish washer safe plates. You cant beat it.

Worst Dollar General ever. Frequently has opened late. Actually closed once in the middle of the day because someone was running late and guy in the store had a job interview. On as couple of occasions have gone to chech out and no one was to be found at registers. I know they supposed to stay busy facing stuff near front end of store and at times you may have to grab an employees attention. But seriously, was a couple occasions I wondered if anyone was even there. I do have to say, on recent weeks seems to have improved.

U can at least find things where they are suppose too be friendly staff helpful..

Dont know why people bother to shop in such a filthy disorganized store. I have found cleaner and more beautiful stores in more dangerous and lower income neighborhoods but the funny thing is the police station is across the street and people are stealing in broad daylight because its understaffed. I walked the entire store while shopping and found ONE employee at the register. Not a safe place to shop

Well youre greeted everytime you enter the store - customers service is okay if Im looking for something they will come help you find it thats cool cause I cant see that well prices about right so asvof now I want complain

Well. It was my first time at this particular location. It was an unpleasant experience. I guess the cashier had argument with the previus customer, after the customer left she kept screaming in a very vulgar way, i was in the store for at least 15 minutes and all that time she was venting, you can hear her cursing in the back of the store. I dont know if she was the manager or an employee. If she was a regular employee, the manager did not handle her correctly. Poor customer service. Hostile armosphere. Its a shame.

These hoes dont know how to run a store. I went to get some honey had to wait 15 minutes because some lady was complaining about a measuring cup. So the guy couldnt restart the transaction without the key and had to wait another 2 minutes because the girl was stocking items plus on the phone.

The staff is always fantastic. The location at 87th street and 88th ave often looks disorganized, not merchandise as well as other locations. I suspect the planogram, or whatever its called these days. This store doesnt have the square footage of other stores, so it often seems overstocked in apparel. Its often hard to maneuver around items and displays in the aisle. Also, no matter how many times I request it, they dont seem to be able to keep diet Pepsi in stock.theres always plenty of the regular, tho.

Good also has good toys for kids and good candy has lost of good prices

UNTILLLLL. that lady JESSICA came. Store has NEVER BEEN AS SHOP ABLE AS IT IS NOW. AND EVEN WITH ONE REGISTER DOWN. THEY QUICK TO GET U IN AND OUT. YOU CANT GET UPSET AT THE PEOPLE WHO WORK AT A STORE THAT IS COMPLETLY RUN DOWN. DOLLAR GENERAL SHOULD UPDATE THE STORE ASAP.

We were treated very rude on the phone and in the store by two female employees at the hickory Hills illinois store #10671. They had no training and no idea how to use PayPal credit. They told us we had to swipe our PayPal debit card and it will go to PayPal credit. That is wrong completely. I called PayPal credit and they gave me a code number to give to the clerk to refund the debit card charge and put it on the PayPal credit balance. THE CASHIERS AND MANAGERS REFUSED TO REFUND THE AMOUNT AND THEN PUT IT ON PAYPAL CREDIT. THEY SAID ITS GOING TO TAKE 7 days TO GET MY MONEY BECAUSE THE DEBIT ALREADY WENT THROUGH.WHEN I TOLD THEM I NEEDED THAT MONEY FOR PART OF MY RENT TOMORROW THEY SAID WE TOLD YOU 7 days 7DAYS SIR.THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME EVER AT DOLLAR GENERAL AND WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCEReplyFinally the general manager interceded and apologized. He sent me to another store where they were courteous and respectful. They refunded my money in cash and gave me a $25 gift card.DONT GO TO THE HICKORY HILLS STORE GO TO THE ONE ON 79th and HARLEM IN BRIDGEVIEW
