For a small store they have a reasonable inventory. The bigger stores are picked over, one issue they all suffer from is that this week their computer is down so it makes it a lot harder to get prices. Most of the stores do not stock enough inventory, for example the warehouse had 93 battery operated smoke detector and the store i went to first had one when i needed 8 for three boats. I finally got them after going to three stores and one special order. They are a retail business first and should have enough of the basics in the store that is called service or I can order from Amazon.

Good marine supply store. None of the West Marine stores seem as well stocked as in the past, and I dont think its all due to the pandemic. But they can order anything from the catalog and have it in hand in a reasonable amount of time

Our little local West Marine is WONDERFUL!knowledgeable and helpful staff, and so close to the Marina and harbor.If they dont have it in stock, they can usually have it next day.Parking can be challenging, but if you drive around the long, long block and by the time you get back there is usually a space!

I am definitely impressed by the level of service here. Jill is amazing, no questions about it. The store had an item sent from another store within a day. The follow thru of the staff is very noteworthy. I will be shopping here for quite some time.

This is a small West Marine store in Hermosa Beach. I went there because they had the size of a thimble I was looking for... but... but... they had one, and I needed two... bummer.Nice assortment of nautical stuff, a bit priced on the higher end.Ill be back.

They had what I needed, a PFD (Personal Flotation Device) for paddle boarding.. price was right (sale) and it was in stock...

Awesome staff. Yes okay West Marine is a tad overpriced but awesome staff and some of the more knowledgeable staff are a great help.

I was looking for Sikkens Cetol, the original formulation. I do not know where it is sold in the old formulation. However the lady there was very nice but had no knowledge of the products available in the store. She tried to help based on her experience which was barely above my own because I have been researching finishes used on boats which I wanted to use. I knew about the Sikkens Cetol because it was used often to finish boat decks and has a great reputation. Not sure what the reputation of the new, California Sikken Cetol is. It has not been much reviewed any where. She could suggest no alternative product.

A little expensive, but a great boat shop. Leans heavily towards sailboats, but all boaters can find what they need here.
