Walked in.. it was like a ghost town. called out to a lone employee who looked down at the ground and started walking away faster. I had to wave my hands and rapidly say hey until it was awkward. Surprisingly good quality products available at the store. Social distancing observed, check out was pretty quick on a Saturday afternoon. Cashier was friendly and helpful.

I wanted to leave this review because my husband and I received AMAZING customer service from Rhonda. She was working in the furniture area of the store, there was another associate working the area with her- but you could tell the person was new. She ended up juggling herself between myself and three other customers. She handled herself in that situation well and I observed her giving everyone amazing customer service as well. I dont write many reviews, only when I feel someone really deserves the recognition. I hope the management of the Big Lots in Hercules realizes they have an exceptional employee. Thank you again Rhonda for all your help. We love the reclining loveseat and thank you for suggesting the 3 year coverage plan, it was something that we needed to have just in case. For anyone wondering exactly what we purchased it was the Stonehill Chocolate Console Loveseat for $549. It is so comfortable. We purchased it on 4/1/21 and recently hosted a baby shower. A couple of guests sat on it and also fell in love with it and said this is what they need in their home, its definitely worth the money.

This is a much friendlier store than the one in San Pablo.The cashiers move the lines quickly and tell people to wear masks and practice social distancing when they enter the store.Their shelves are neatly stocked and they will reorder a product that has been sold out.What would heighten their level of customer service is to let the customer know the product they were looking for came in.No brainer. A win-win situation for all.

Found my item, k-cups easily, and 96 units were priced nicely, $28.88. The cashier Irene (lack of awareness) was nice; however, she should have called for a back-up cashier because there were five in line. I only had 1 item! Need an express lane!!

Four stars for the friendly cashier! To me customer service is everything. The lines were extremely long the day I went and very thete were very little Christmas ornaments available. But, at least the cashier had a friendly disposition.

Big Lots Store in Hercules is clean, well organized and hires friendly cashiers and managers. I am usually satisfied whenever I visit the store.

I want to give a special shout out to Rhonda, she went above and beyond to help my girlfriend and I found the perfect couches for our new home. We had previously gone to the San Pablo Big Lots and the customer service was horrible. Rhonda had to even call the SP big lots so they can place one of the couches on hold for us since they were sold out at the Hercules one. Thank you Rhonda!!!

Some useful items and the occasional cute or pretty find, mainly in housewares. Can be a fun place to browse, and has a good selection of pillows which really helped me out when relatives visited unexpectedly!

My Hercules Big Lots is awesome! I never wanted to shop at a Big Lots, but my sister talked me into going and picking up a few key things that are really worth it. they always have amazing prices on gardening stuff, garden furniture, pet food and such, drinks and party snacks!!! The managers here, Donna and Irene, are wonderful and very very helpful and super friendly!!!

A store thats packed. Things can get pretty messy quickly depending on the customers, but overall, not a bad shopping experience. You may need to be patient while looking around and if you want something in particular the staff is willing to help.

Always a great deal and they have little hidden deals throughout the store as well that you wouldnt believe! I was able to get a years supply of travel size body wash and body spray for less than $10 for example. They always have a clearance section packed with various items added daily.

This is the second time I waited in line, the cashier told me in had to go to the other line. She then opened lip the line I was in and took all the people who were behind me AHEAD OF ME. This is ridiculous. It should not have happened once let alone TWICE!

They had what I needed at a cheaper-than-Walmart price.

I bought some root beer, snacks and household supplies here. Decent price, varied selection. Nice place to get supplies.

I dont go here very often. But I came because I was in the area and got some great deals. I bought mostly drinks: root beer, ginger beer, and flavored sparkling water. I couldnt pass these deals up.

This Big Lots is decent, there are enough foods here, no fresh produce. Here you can buy home goods, furnishings, seasonal items, toys, electronics, and personal items. Decently priced, this is a healthy alternative when you cant find small home solutions from the neighboring Home Depot.

Big Lots is one of those places that just seems to have a little bit of everything kind of like the Home Depot you can go in there you can find what you want and get out of the good price and if you happen to pick up a few extra items like most people do it doesnt break the bank simply a place to go early in the morning because they stock at night you wont be disappointed theyll even find things that youre not looking for

Pro: Cheaper prices for brand-name items, if they have them in stock. I come for Crystal Geyser gallon-size water and picnic good (paper plates, cutlery, good napkins, and flushable wipes).Con: Unreliable availability--not so of Crystal Geyser water, fortunately for me. Shelves can be disorganized, which is more likely from customer behavior. Checkout speed...? Dont count on it.

After many years of shopping at this store, I recently encountered a racist cashier. I was doing Christmas shopping and over bought wrapping paper. After everything was paid for in bags I got back in another line to return the wrapping paper. She did my returns. The cashier then asked to see my receipt for my items that were in bags, I told her that she has the receipt it was on the same one. She then asked to inspect my bags! I told her no and that I was very offended. The nerve of her. I was just in line to return something and she was actually holding the receipt in her hand (while doing my return) that showed all of the items that I had just purchased 5 mins ago, smh. I wonder is she treats all of her customers like that or did she think that I just couldnt possibly afford to buy all of those items. I think that if I were a shop lifter that I would not be in line doing a return with proof of purchase sitting right in your hand. I did make a formal complaint. The only great thing about this store is the prices (1 star) and location but the cashier needs to be retrained and informed that she is not part of loss prevention!!

You go in for one thing and deffinitely come out wit more than what you needed 😂😂 really nice cashiers , hope I could say the same of the rest, Checking out some runners and one of them just stood their(very akward ) obviously I tried to fold things back as best as I could...I had the inspector next to me😂😂
