Haylea did a brilliant job with my hair! She skillfully placed foils, added detail with balayage, and was very thoughtful of my personal lifestyle and hair maintenance level - even adding a shadow root to my blonde coloring to allow me more flexibility in the timing of my appointments. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair - Haylea is the best out there for cuts, color, or styling! She’s even done a brilliant job with my makeup in the past. I got my hair washed and trimmed for the first time in 6 years (😳 I know) and Katie was wonderful. I was terrified of losing too much length because my hair takes years to grow, and she put my mind to ease very quickly. I have no problem paying good money for an exceptional service, so for a wash, trim, and style it was $50. She used awesome smelling products on my hair and I left with the healthiest feeling hair Ive had in so long. Ill definitely be using them and their spa for all my other self care needs! Found my new favorite salon!

I got my hair bleached for the first time and Danielle did an awesome job! I had very dark hair so I was nervous it would look orange. I didn’t think it would look good on me but it turned out great. Danielle was super sweet and helpful and still helps me maintain the color and answers any questions I have. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something new with their hair. 10/10 experience and I will be coming back.

If 10 stars were an option thats what Id really give The Abbey. Besides the amazing stylists (let me elaborate, THEY ARE GREAT. Especially Candace Brock) they salon is also very clean and elegantly decorated. They also have a great selection of hair products and a cute boutique attached! My hair and I love The Abbey!

I made an appointment online for a massage and called to confirm before I drove an hour away. When I called I was told they are not doing massages right now. Someone should of called and told me. If I had not called and drove there I would of been more angry than I am now. I told the girl who answered they need to take it off the website so people cant make appointments.

I can not say about the rest of the staff there at the salon, but I will never go back to see Tara, nor would I recommend her to anyone...I had spoken with Tara a few times before I decided to schedule a hair & makeup trial run for my wedding coming up & sent her some pictures of what I was wanting.. I arrived two minutes early to my appointment & was informed that Tara had not made it in yet. A few minutes later I get a text from her asking if I found the place ok? that she had to stop & get coffee & would be there shortly... 10/15 minutes after my appointment time, Tara arrived (did not introduce herself) & instructed me to follow her. She appeared as though she had just rolled out of bed & threw on some clothes (appointment time was for 11:30 am).About 10 or 20 minutes after Tara started working on my hair, her adult daughter shows up to try on shoes, coming in & out of the room that her mom is working on a client in, asking if the shoes looked good? if her heel was fitting where it needed to? after about 10 minutes of that her daughter left.After 1.5 hours of her working on my hair, the girl at the front desk comes in & states that her next appointment has arrived. I was informed that it will only take 5 minutes to apply color in her other clients hair & since the color has to sit for 30 minutes, that would give her enough time to do my makeup. I told her that would be fine.After waiting 10 minutes or so & hearing her carry on in conversation with her other client, & thinking back on the events that had happened since I arrived, I decided that it would be best to pay & leave. I asked the girl at the front desk if I could just go ahead & pay for the hair style & go? She went back & informed Tara that I wanted to leave & was told no that she still needed to do my makeup & to wait.After standing at the font desk waiting to pay for at least 5 or 10 minutes, as the girl at the front desk paced back & forth to the room Tara was in a few times, I could hear Tara in the room talking to her other client about me saying she should have known!.. Should have known what!?Tara finally comes out & asks if I have been waiting? Of course I have been waiting! The girl at the front desk came back & told you that 10 minutes ago, & you want to sit there & act like she didnt?? What kind of customer service do you call that?I prefer to do business with someone who is dependable & arrives on time, someone who doesnt sit there & talk crap about me to their other clients.

The stylist told me it would cost 20 bucks to curl my hair. When I went to pay for the bad hairstyle only minutes before my wedding, she charged me 75 bucks. I called the salon for days with no response for help with the matter. The manager wouldn’t call me back. She finally let their receptionist tell me they were not going to refund my money and that basically I was lying about what the stylist said it would cost.True story. I will never go there againPr

Worst experience ever! I booked an appointment and I had to wait over an hour to get my hair done. While waiting the stylist didnt acknowledge the fact that he was running behind when he was the one that moved my appointment time up to a time that was better for him. The concept of customer service is to acknowledge the customers needs and communicate the reasons behind the wait. I dont recommend Abbeys Salon because some of the employees dont treat the clients with dignity and respect.

Yall. Stacy Sims is. The. Bomb! She and I have been friends for many many years (such a sweetheart!) My husband and I recently moved 7 hours away to Webster, TX. I knew finding a new hair stylist would be hard, but I had no idea itd be THAT hard! I went to 3 different salons.....none even came close to Stacy! She knows exactly what I want.....even when I switch up my hair styles. So now I drive 7 hours back to Hattiesburg every 6-8 weeks to The Abbey. Its such an inviting environment, friendly staff, and I love that the Abbey Boutique is right next door! Get your hair done and do a little shopping :)

Horrible. Been a year since my 2nd time ever bleaching my hair was done by her and they used a helper to wash me out and product was left on my head as I called them on way home and they said wash out completley as I did that. But clumps of hair came out. I called back asap and they had hairdresser call me and she said come out next am. I did . She conditioned me and gave me a bottle of 10 oz shampoo and a jar of conditioner. Didnt charge me but geez, I was so traumatized as always had long hair and now it was thin on sides and nothing to grab on back of head. Its been a year and finally have some hair in back to grab. I spent alot of my own $ on high end products to bring back my hair from the depths of hell. Still have my bag of hair and before and after pics . Dr gave me anxiety pills for a bit from this. Just think about losing ur hair and not able to do a thing but hide basically or wear hair wrPs and bandannas etc for a year. And yet she still was charging me 160 for that visit when clearly hair was already coming out when I was there just didnt know but again a helper was doing toner and the wash out as part of their hours needed etc to be able to advance. Salon specialists told me from another high end boutique, the product was left on and it melted thru my hair. She did have 2 ppl going at once and I know I set longer than needed from all the ppl I talked to, and when it was rinsed out good after toner was put on that was the end. But I didnt know as much as I do now cause I on been 2 times for a bleaching to them. Last time was when I was 18 yrs old. Im in my 50s now and was keeping my hair in top shape, everyone always commented on my hair but just wanted to go a different shade to hide the gray easier. Still have all my proof and bag of hair from back when. Im small.claims.court bound as she didnt even suggest to at more least refund the $$ I spent etc. Git a condition and 2 products totaling like 50.00.Anyone want to see contact me. Whole family and husband knows what I went they.

The front desk ladies were friendly when I went in. Welton did me a silk press and trim! I absolutely loved it. With my hair being natural, I was worried a little. He told me exactly what he was doing, what he was putting in my hair, and very easily and gently detangled my hair. It came our amazing and feels as light as a feather and most certainly like silk. I recommend you visit him if you want a great stylist who will take care of your natural hair. He does many other styles and hair types as well! Make sure you pay him a visit!

I have been going to Natalie Collins for about 3 years now and she is fantastic! She is always accommodating to me and has stayed way past hours so that I didnt have to take off of work. She is super talented and I highly recommend her!

I called for an appointment earlier this week. I had been searching for a salon that opened early (prior to 9 AM) on Saturday. The Abbey is one of few and I was excited to find such a nice salon. I spoke with the receptionist and asked her if there was availability for two clients, a mani/pedi and a fill in, at 8 AM, their advertised opening time. I was told, Our tech dont come in til round 10 but she wont have nothing until after 12. I asked her if she thought maybe the tech would like to come in earlier? I received a simple, no.I have little understanding of the way salons operate so maybe I am wrong in assuming that the tech might want to make the decision herself. After all, I figure in total we would spend $100+ and it is her tip and her wage to earn.My complaint is mild but worth noting that perhaps, in a salon of this quality, the receptionist might need a little training.

My first visit was fine. The second time, I used a different stylist. I asked for a slight trim for my hair. My hair looks horrible and uneven! It looks like a good 6 inches was cut. Im furious! My color was horrible as well. Ive gone from blonde to brassy! Im scared to go back and let the girl fix it! Im afraid I would look worse! Way over priced and very unhappy!

This morning I called to confirm my Ouidad appointment with Lauren before driving 1.5 hours from Louisiana to the salon. I was told my appointment was at 11:15 today before getting on the highway. I drove and made it to the salon 20 minuets before my appointment and was greeted by 3 ladies at the front desk. They told me my appointment was next Tuesday. I showed them my phone and the call log of my phone call this am confirming today’s appointment because I had not received a text. I was leery so I called before making the drive. All 3 ladies went to talk try to see who I talked to this am. I waited 15 minuets before anyone acknowledge me again. They said no one had taken my call. I again showed my call log. Lauren passed the message along that she was booked for the day and that she looked at my hair and thought someone else could potentially fit me in, but she could not. I drove 1.5 hours for a special cut because I prefer the Ouidad cut. Lauren never spoke to me, she had her co workers tell me I could not have my hair done with her today. The messenger said I could keep my appointment next week at a discount. Why would I come back to an appointment with someone who did not take a moment to speak with me and try to get me to have a cut that I did not book. I could get a professional cut in my town, not the Ouidad, which is why I drove. I can not speak for the cut itself, but I can say the way this was handled was extremely unprofessional.
