I’ve honestly not had the experiences previously mentioned. The service has always been pleasant and efficient! I understand the frustration with the Amazon returns stating no packaging required. This seems to be an Amazon customer service issue and credit for that should be placed where it is due. Amazon is the big guy in this miscommunication and should remedy this issue ASAP! Either pay the UPS small business owner for his packaging materials or change the process to reflect Amazon’s responsibility in returning the items. The blame toward UPS is unfounded in this case. Just package your returns in any shippable package and acknowledge that this is INDEED an Amazon customer service complaint and should not reflect poorly on the store. UPS store staff: keep up the great work as I understand working in the public sector can be frustrating!

I make multiple runs a week between here and USPS dropping off a decent amount of orders, and have absolutely NEVER experienced anything like some reviews claim. I rarely leave reviews and honestly only chose to do one here to help out a small business. They have always been friendly to interact with and do their job well!

The ladies in there were rude. It was 6:31 and I was already in the building before they were closing. As soon as I got to the counter I asked hi, I would like to send my package out they grabbed their purses and said ah, were closed. Why hadnt they told me when I was in the building getting it ready? Absolutely rude. I drove 49 minutes just to get here...

I wish I could give 0 or negative stars for this store. The owner of the store is beyond rude and pompous whenever you speak with him The young lady who works in there is flip and rude to you for absolutely no reason whatsoever. As soon as you hit the door with a return or a need she is flip with answers and treats you as if you are nothing but an annoyance 0/10 would not recommend this store to even my worst enemy.

The owner is just so rude; a completely miserable person. I would not have posted anything if this was his behavior once, thinking he was just having a bad day, but every time I am in there, he makes you feel like you are a waste of time and space. Will not be going back. It pays to be nice. Thats all :)

The young girl tending the store was incredibly rude from the beginning. She wouldnt answer me when I spoke to her and when I confronted her about it, she was belligerent and balled up her fist.. She needs to go!!! I. Will NEVER step foot in there again. Ill drive the extra miles for better customer service.

Went in with 2 toddlers and the man working there made an already stressful time even more stressful. I was instantly met with him yelling what do you need 😳 never in my life have I seen such poor customer service. Id rather drive way further than ever go there again.

Sure the guy that owns this store is mean and unhelpful, but isnt he also living the American Dream? Imagine going to work and being able to act however you want. A true small town hero. If you need a package shipped-and not much else this is a great choice...also its the only UPS store in town.

They do what they’re supposed to do and that’s it. It’s the only UPS place in Hanover so we have no other options. The staff here is very crabby and unfriendly. They act like they are doing the customer a favor. Even normal manners are ignored and meant with a negative attitude. I’d go elsewhere if there was an elsewhere.

As most others have mentioned, the guy that runs this store is extremely curmudgeonly. His demeanor aside, on my first experience, he would not accept my business as my transaction was too small to use my debit card. Today, he tried to tell my daughter she would have to pay for packaging of an Amazon return (Per Amazon, there should be no charge for this return to include packaging).

If I could give this place 0 stars I would . Had to deal with an old man on a busy Saturday . First he gets highly upset because I didn’t have a box . Amazon gave me clear instructions and stated I didn’t need a box that the UPS store will provide it. Then when you could see I clearly had two items in my hand I say here’s my second item. He gets all huffy and puffy about it .. slams the item down (which is a $150 product that was fragile) that I was returning for a refund. Then he yells something back to the lady behind me in line something about how her package is and whatever she said he got upset about that too. The last time I went to this UPS store I dealt with a middle age woman and she gave me no problem at all. I will never come to this location again after this. I feel very disrespected when I did not deserve it at all. Highly upset .

I have never had issues at this UPS. The location is very convenient for me and only a couple of times I had to wait about 10 minutes. The owner has always been helpful, but I dont go in acting entitled and impatient. Theres usually one person working with walk-ins and that should be taken into consideration. For comparison, go to Hanovers post office with 3 people working and youll appreciate UPS much more. Customers can be pretty awful too, but we tend to think workers are supposed to be saints who bow down to us and put up with our impatience and frustration we love to take out on them. These are humans, not robots. Stop expecting so much.

The man that runs this is hands down the worst human I have ever met. I listened to him berate an old lady because she was shipping homemade food/treats to her relatives during the busy holiday rush. He actually had the audacity to ask this woman why her family cant buy food/treats where they live instead of her shipping them things. Unreal. Just a rude and simpleton of a man.

Was told by the employee or owner that Amazon stopped paying UPS to repack and return orders. Called two other UPS stores and Amazon customer service. Turns out this is a lie. Will be filing a complaint with UPS corporate and Amazon.

I find that this stores employees are rude, has unprofessional employees, and has very poor customer service. As I was there today dropping of a package the music was so loud I did not know if I was in a place of business or the Neighborhood bar. The employee spoke to me as if I was her dog and I doubt she has been taught or knows the words Thank You and Please. I would strongly suggest finding another UPS store for your shipping needs.

For whatever reason the employee/s and owner dont know how to answer the phone. Ive already wasted one trip trying to get a document notarized as the only person that was a notary wasnt working. She said they dont answer the phone when theyre busy and asked if I left a message. So I Left a couple days later and apparently they dont return calls either. Will take my business elsewhere.

I went in to do an easy amazon return, unfortunately there was someone ahead of me with an in depth return. I had my 3 year old with me who was lacking patience at the time. The man working, took care of my return in between processing the other transaction. It didn’t delay the other customer’s order, and I certainly appreciated it!

Natasha recently assisted me with a package mishap on an epic scale. I am tempted to write out the whole saga...but I will condense it to the basics. I am a clothing designer. My client was on her way to a wedding in Paris that had multiple events, including a masquerade ball, tea party and a black tie dinner. I sent her an (overnight delivery) package full of custom made silk gowns, a full length silk cape and a feather hat and mask. She was not home to sign for it and she had a flight to TX the next morning. UH OH! Natasha was able to re-route this package from NJ to TX...but not in time to catch my client who was on her flight to Paris. She then was able to re-route it AGAIN to Alabama, the next morning, where another guest was leaving for the same wedding. Special arrangements were made to open the UPS hub early so that the package could be picked up as soon as it was off the truck!! Amazing amount of care and effort to help me. I so appreciate it too...that package was worth a lot to me and to my client. I cannot thank you enough for your assistance and professional demeanor. A UPS goddess!! Thank you! Michelle Murphy

Walked in to have a POA notorized for a car I purchased.An older gentleman who told me he was the owner of the store and the only one there was unable to notarize the POA. The reason being which I asked several times just to be clear was he was not familiar with the process... called another UPS store and they were able to get the job done.Dont offer notary service if your not familiar with the business.And just like all the other reviews say, very unreasonable/rude....Hopefully if you decide to go yourself you dont have to deal with the same person I did.

Im giving them 5 stars because they have to put up with people who expect to get tape for free. Tape costs money, how hard is it to tape a package yourself? Ive always received good service at this location.

I got here when the “mean owner” wasn’t working. Was a woman who was very friendly and helpful. Plus I was dropping off my Comcast boxes (since I cut the cord) and them taking them saved me a drive to York. All around great visit this time.

Almost every experience I have with this store is terrible. The man that works in there the majority of the time is a total jerk. They NEVER answer the phone. And if they did answer the phone, you might be able to find out before you go there that they don’t actually take passport photos even though it’s advertised on their website. Most of the time when I go there I have to wait several minutes before an employee emerges from the back.

The man working there needs to find another job. It seems that he hates his job and every customer that walks through the door. He is very rude. I asked if he could put some tape to secure my package. His response was that the tape costs money. He told me that it would be 1 dollar, which I gave him in cash and did not get a receipt for it. I dont believe UPS charges $1, it should be free for a little bit of tape. Prices are already high enough for their services. If I need to send something through them (usually its prepaid merchandise returns), I always hope it wont be him at the counter.

I was here twice, once to return a Comcast box and again to ship something. The guy behind the counter was informative and knowledgeable both times. Both times he greeted me as soon as I opened the door. Im trying to figure out who it is that everyone hates here. Apparently I havent run into that person. Update: I was just in a third time. Once again, the mean man was informative and pleasant...

The staff here needs to be trained properly by corporate on customer service best practices. They are miserable and unpleasant; that negative attitude transfers to the customer and gives UPS a bad name. My advice is to prepare yourself mentally before dealing with these people.

Don Should not be in the customer service business. Believe every negative word others wrote here. I was gonna say all the same stuff and was happy to read that others feel, and are treated, as I have been. Now I only ever dealt with Don and I am pretty sure he is the owner. He is the only place in (or near) Hanover. So if you have to use his store be prepared to respect his authority and be treated rudely and with condescension. Ill be using the post office, if I can OR Goin Postal unfortunately they do not have the capability to scan a UPS QR, to print your label.

Horrible customer service by the gentleman (very rude man) if I can call him that. Not friendly by ANY MEANS and he seem to think he knew everything I needed, which he didnt. Hate this place. This is the 2nd time to have dealings with him and hes always so rude. Told me I needed a shipping label to ship which I didnt, I just needed the account number as per the company it was going to. Very rude and arrogant!!

The guy working at the store named Don has been completely unprofessional on multiple occasions. He is rude, and has poor customer service. I dread going in there when he is working because of his poor attitude and personality. The most recent time I used their services Don referred to me as a dumbass to my girlfriend. If you have to deal with him when you go in the store you will always have a bad experience.

If I could give zero stars I would the male worker at this store is very un professional and rude to say the least he always has some sort of comment when I am dropping packages off.I have shipped items to be returned to Amazon many many times from this store every time the man is working(only male Ive seen working there) and takes my packages my refund is not prompt what so ever...anyone that returns to Amazon knows that when you have a prime membership as I do your refund is immediate as soon as the barcode is scanned at the ups store, for some reason this man likes to wait hours sometimes days to scan my packages in. He acts as if he doesnt want to be bothered as if I am not paying to have my item returned excuse me but last time I checked I pay for the membership which in turn pays the ups store for my returns to be processed through them when I return items back to Amazon. If there were another ups store near me I would definitely travel a distance to go there rather then my local store which is 2 minutes from my home just so I would not have to deal with this male worker at my local Hanover ups store and wait on my refunds due to the fact he cant just scan the barcode Im a timely manner when I bring the packages in. All other workers at this store have been pleasant and my packages are scanned in immediately when dropped off I have had my refund by the time I have gotten to my car on other occasions when there is another person working.

Rude. I have had terrible experiences here if I ever have to interact with people. Just called today about a package I had dropped off 6 days before ans was meant for usps. The tracking number I was given had said ups. I called to ask why it hasnt gone anywhere yet and the man I talked to was rude and basically hung up the phone without saying goodbye when our conversation was done. Never again will I use this location.

The owner of this store is the rudest, ignorant person Ive ever come in contact with! He obviously hates his job and every customer that sets foot in his store. I was there yesterday to ship something, and an older gentleman walked in to use the copier. He was having some difficulties with the copier and asked for some assistance and the owner totally humiliated this man and said that the problem was was him, not the machine. Ill be sure to take by business elsewhere.

The guy that was there between1 and 2pm today 9/7/18, acted like if he was doing me a big favor, and he was rude ,I guess I was not spending enough money , but he should have been very happy because he got 5 bucks out of me for faxing 4 pages for me, to me that was highway robbery, to fax those 4 pages it probably costed them no more than a few cents so they got about 400% profit, I had to pay because I needed too, but I will never go back there.

I have never seen such a bitter smug faced rude woman then the one I dealt with today. She was like a robot. When leaving I said had a good day with zero response. My last trip to this store, there are plenty of options from stores who appreciate your business.
