The store is only one level and a bit understaffed. The staff that they do have are friendly and professional. If you’re someone that needs to rest, they only have benches in the shoe department or at the entrances. I found a nice pair of boots that were discounted from $110.00 USD to $34.00 USD. There is also a mini Sephora located in this store.

Had some pictures taken and the young ladies that were in there was very polite very wonderful experience.. Cant wait to get my photos back!!!

Ok but instead of trying to get me to get a credit card. Work on being nicer to each other. I mean the staff were so mean to each other. Really need to change that.

Clean and organized store. Dress shirt selection was minimal. Lacking certain items like other stores.Loved the 40% discount for applying for JCP credit card.

Its obvious that this store is short on staff. The floor was sporadically stocked and there was only one register open on a Saturday evening. I would recommend that JCP, like all other retailers, to recognize what people go through working customer service and increase base pay with sales bonuses for its team members.

I love this place. Been getting things from here as a child, then for my children, now Grandchildren. Very affordable and clean. Not enough associates though to help customers

The online pickup was easy enough. A line did form behind me and a 2nd cashier opened to help everyone. I was just lucky enough to arrive with only 1 person before me. But as I walked through the store, there is still very limited stock. Which makes it hard to find what you need.

Things were not layed out properly for shopping.

I saw they had a two-pack of bamboo pillows on sale, so I decided to come get them. The bedding area was relatively confusing and disorganized, and I could not find the pillow set. I had no less than five salespeople walk right by me in the span of a couple minutes, and they all completely ignored me, in favor of doing things like chatting with each other and going to the staff room; needless to say I got frustrated and left. I dont know how this place is still in business but if they keep employing people with this attitude, it wont be for very long. The people working the register seemed nice, but unfortunately I never made it that far.

Great staff but I hate that the clothes are divided by designers. I could give 2 hoots about who made it when I am looking for a red shirt and have to look in a bunch of different places.

Horrible wait times to check out. Repeated issues at the check out stations. Only 2 check out areas open in entire store and no one on sales floor.When a register became tied up, with prolonged customer issues, another register was not opened. In fact while one such bottle neck was occurring the other register was closed so the employee could go on break. Had no problem with relieving employee but one of the three people dealing with problems at the other register should have taken her place.After 45 minutes in line my friend told me to go browse Sephora while he waited.Havent been to Sephora at JC Pennys in a while but found it impossible to shop at. Prices are no longer displayed in front of products. No way to scan price without the help of a sales person. In addition multiple beeping alarms were coming from all over the department. I was told they were security devices with cameras/movement sensors that were exstreemly sensitive. Sales staff was too busy to reset them. Frankly the noise was distracting, irritating and undermined my experience.When I did want to get a price I couldnt. The lone Sephora sales person was serving a 6 person deep line. A growing number of customers had picked up a small sample item from Sephora to get all of thier shopping checked out.There was no attempt to socal distance and the sign limiting the number of people entering the cramped area was unmanned.JC Pennys has fallen far

Jcpenney is a great place for a Big and Tall person to find clothes!

The women and childrens department were nicely stocked. All registers were manned with employees.The store was clean and inviting.

Placed online order & ventured to Hampton store to exchange 2 of the items. Exchange process was easy & clerks were extremely knowledgeable & helpful.

Love J.C. Penney. Especially because its in Coliseum Central and the beautiful Peninsula Town Center in Hampton. Glad to see that they are hanging on despite the closing of many other stores.

This store gave my online order away to a complete stranger. They obviously dont check id for curbside pick up.Just pull up and say you are there for your order and you get free stuff.Ill stick with Bed Bath an Beyond

No carts in the store, one guest rep on the way out of the store is not nice, to say the least. I saw her treat others badly on several occasions. I visited this Walmart over 5x while vacationing, there were only carts inside once.

I got amazing deals, then extra off with a coupon in the app!

It was the photo section, not JC Penny owned. Terrible service. Rude. We cant do anything, props, touch, must wear a mask even though the President & CDC said you dont... One worker just walked out.

I am not rating the store itself! Im rating the portrait studio. Weve been coming here that last four years and every year we say we arent coming back but we do. But this time I promise we wont be back!! This has been the worst year yet! Weve been here for over 2 hours. We got our pictures taken about 30 minutes ago and are waiting to see and order pictures. They didnt keep track this year of times people were scheduled. They just took them randomly even though everyone had scheduled appointments! They also need to stop scheduling appointments 15 minutes apart. They take at least 30 minutes, especially when you have small children that have been waiting for an hour and a half to get them taken. I suggest you find some place to get your pictures done. Or pack a lunch!!

My wonderful husband Brandon and I came in to shop for curtains and we were treated so wonderful and we experienced great customer service by Mrs Wilson and her colleague. Both were very courteous and professional. This was making me feel like in the good old times, when a customer was still valued.Great job :)

This is my favorite location because their store is Always Clean! The Customer Service helps you put outfits together as well. Their sales are the best and most economical for large families. I Love their Customer Service. Its beyond Excellent!

Called from Charlotte, NC to pay for a dress for my daughter who lives there. She found a dress that is on sale for her sisters wedding. No answer from this store over 40 minutes(You can select 3 options, salon, mattress, or windows) Really????. Contacted Customer Service 800#, they transferred me to the store, who then transferred me back to the no answer line again. This is why I dont shop at JCPenney. Customer Service is horrid. This store in Hampton, Im not sure what is keeping it going, but maybe its better in person. I know they are lost on the phone! Sad.. Sad.... They dont have to worry about me. I love Dillards!

Great sales on jewelry but not enough staff and not able to try on clothing due to the corona virus. This man made virus jumping species and it is a flu virus that will happen again in the fall. #family

They need more staff!!! I wish they would label their prices instead of putting sales prices up high and making you guess if the item is on sale. For the good news, selections were plenty and my new winter wardrobe is off to a warm and comfy start! I scored boots, sweaters and a few pants for less than $200 which was my goal. Aside from walking a mile to find a register the store was clean, clothes were neat and orderly and I was able to stroll the aisles easily.

We picked up a real nice suit and pants two shirts socks a fancy watch to go with the suit. All excellent quality and a good price. Very happy with this latest shopping experience.

The clearance section for women is huge. Yall need to go check that out. Clearance for mens is mostly nice button up shirts. Plenty of thin winter fleece on sale right now.The womens sports section is dwindling. Hardly any sporty shorts left unless youre a bigger lady. The 30 percent weekend coupon only works if the items are not clearance. Have fun yall.

My favorite Jcpennys! Its huge, and its clean! You cant help but to want to shop! Love the way it smells and looks during the Christmas holiday! 1 of the few places that is left in the Peninsula town center that I do like to shop at.

I found a good bargain as usual but had to deal with an unusually rude cashier. That is not normally my experience so I was caught off guard by it. Please teach your young cashiers good manners & good old fashioned customer service.

Need more registers open, no carts available, no military discount, no maternity section, and didnt appreciate the final price being displayed then the cashier reducing it to try to upsell us a credit card and adjusted back when we said no. Probably the last time we shop at a JCP. ✌🏾

I love this store. Great deals, the layout is a little confusing and I find myself getting turned around. Staff is super friendly. Oh! There is a limit on items in one transactions. You can only purchase 50 items per transaction. Then you have to start a new one.

The store itself okay. Bright, warm, sketchy internet availability. Biggest issue is the lack of clear and consistent pricing. Dont try to use the app to find something online for store pickup...

This store is just unorganized and junky. Especially the Womens casual department. All other departments are well maintained. Its just not like it used to be but the prices are fantastic. The merchandise is name brand and of great quality.

Easy to get to and to find what you need. They have sales regularly and you can usually find a coupon online! Hair salon services are nice too! DeShauna and Asonta are great at their craft!

Look, I know JCP is old school, but I still shop them, I like the old school Dept. Stores.. I miss Sears! When you need slacks and professional wear for employment..cant beat them..very affordable and yes I use the coupons they offer!! The quality is very good, styles are a little mature, but you aint gonna wear no hole in Dem jeans (kids denim)..😆
