Really nice real wood furniture. Sales help was there but they did not hound us which is what I like. Would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for good furniture.

This was a great find. You can find both finished and unfinished pieces in this store. You can get the pieces finished for a fee. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be going back.

I bought my dresser about two years ago from the floor. The back of it was chipped pretty bad in the back at the bottom and one of the pieces inside the drawer was broken, making a piece of wood fall every time you open the drawer below it. They said when we bought it that he could have someone come to our house and do the quick fixes. We waited a couple weeks.. nothing. Waited another one.. nothing. Finally called and they hadn’t even ordered the new piece. When it finally arrived they had us pick it up and said he’d have a guy over next week to fix the piece inside the dresser. Nothing after another 3 weeks. I finally said whatever and replaced the back myself. Because I was waiting to stain it. Jump forward to today: I’ve had this for 2 years and it’s falling apart on me. If I put anything heavy ISH in one of the drawers it falls out of its tracks, the drawers don’t stay closed, the broken piece of wood is still there. My grandma and I paid almost $300 for this dresser. I will never shop here again.

Wonderful, reliable local Hampton furniture store. The people who work there and own the business are considerate and very helpful. Good prices. Definitely not the mass-produced product seen in the national furniture stores.Over the years we have bought a dining table and chairs, cherry bedroom set, a second bedroom set, and some book shelves. This month a mover broke the shelf on a small side table that was part of the bedroom set. Good Wood was able to repair the shelf and it is now as good as new.Highly recommended!

We love the Good Wood store. All the furniture is feal wood. They have more options in there books, just ask if you need something and dont see it on the floor. They will stain your furniture to the desired color you want. They also have things like a potato/onion bin and a trash can holder/concealer.

Im new to Hampton, so this was my first visit to Good Wood and my first impression was very positive. Very easy to browse around and find what I needed and the staff (Wes) was very helpful, friendly and not pushy. The quality of the furniture was much higher then other big furniture stores I visited earlier. Love that all furniture is made from solid real wood. Bought a coffee table and end tables on this trip, will definitively return for more later. Great shopping experience!

Love this store! We purchased two unfinished shelving units from them at their old location. At our request, they talked us through the finishing steps. We paid only slightly more than we would have for MDO/particle board shelving units wed seen for sale at several other stores. I sanded/stained/oiled both units over a three-day period, and they turned out beautifully.More recently, we tracked them down at their new location. This time, we purchased two finished pieces--an elegant Howard Miller curio (on clearance) and a server that doubles as a display cabinet. Once again, we are really happy with our new furniture.If you are shopping for furniture, I highly recommend including this shop early in your search. Youll find yourself comparing furniture at other stores to the furniture at this store. Also, the sales staff is helpful and gives you time and space to make decisions. The guy who helped us load up was also friendly and gave us a call when we accidentally left our box of bungee cords and straps behind.Do yourself a favor and stop by to see their selection of furniture before you buy somewhere else.

First off they held the furniture for a really long time until my mom could get it into her new home, which is amazing! The staff was always very helpful and patient with her. Their furniture was very well made and I know she will have it for years to come. great quality and service.

SOLID WOOD FURNITURE.You might not realize it through all of the neon advertising signs, however, they have really high quality solid wood products with affordable prices.BOTH FINISHED AND UNFINISHED pieces for sale. Most of the items I could order finished or unfinished (with of course price differences).The manager Joel was really helpful, friendly, and was very knowledgeable. They also have a good selection of Amish crafted items if youre looking for the really durable (and somewhat expensive) furniture.Highly recommend and will go back for future needs.

This place has Quality wood furniture not that cheap stuff you see in other places. Last a log time. Excellent selection of beds and mattress thx for that home town feel great people working there not pushy is what I like. When I shop it’s not price but Quality in product and people goes a log way for me I will return you have a customer for life

Wow - this is the place to go if you want high-quality, solid wood furniture at reasonable prices. They have lots to choose from for every room in the house (we bought sets for our bedroom, kitchen and dining room!). And what is even better than the solid wood furniture and the prices is their people -- they are very helpful without being pushy. If you want high-quality furniture -- this is the place to start!

Not bad if you would like to get the wooden furniture you are looking for, but you cant move around. Right when ylu walked in your ran into a shelf. It smells like wood cleaner and acrylic paint.

The best place to get furniture, bar none. The customer service is lovely. No pressure at all to buy, no one chases you down, youre greeted in a genuine way when you walk in and help is offered quickly if you look particularly thoughtful or confused. The quality of the furniture is notable, especially these days, but its the people that make us send our friends there.

Bought 3 rooms of bedroom furniture—and other furniture pieces in unfinished solid wood—because I wanted quality that would last a lifetime. Excellent customer service and quality. Highly recommend.

Really good furniture

Absolutely a fantastic operation. Great selection, fantastic quality and a very helpful and pleasant staff. Their prices are extremely reasonable and Wes is a joy to work with. Visit them before buying anywhere else.

All i can say is there customer service is outstanding I love the look of the store too.

This place has horrible customer service. There is no sales people working there just people who want to take orders . Should work at McDonald’s If you don’t want to actually communicate with your customers and sell. The worker didn’t even greet us when I came in. I was going in there to buy a couch and I was going to until the salesman acted like we wasn’t even there

Joel helped us figure out what was the best fit for us financially and even gave us tips on how to finish the dresser. Im an MD just out of residency and picky about my furniture, but OHMYGOD the student loans!!! So Good Wood was a godsent. Incredibly affordable. Ive furnished almost my entire house with their products. The childrens rooms, our bedroom, the living room, all of our shelves, etc. It looks fantastic the way only really beautifully-made wood can look. My last acquisition was an exquisite mango-wood desk for my daughter. She was over the moon. My colleagues, all older and not like me in primary care, have ohhhed and awwwed. *grin* I hum to myself, and nod sagely.
