Just went to store this morning to see about a new battery for my bike. I asked about battery because its only a year old. Parts guys looked up my purchase date and told me that I was eleven days late for warranty consideration. I wasnt expecting a new battery, just some kind of adjustment or discount for a new battery. Again, all I was told was that I was eleven days late. I was not asked if I needed a new battery. Parts guys just turned away from me and started talking to each other. At the time there was ONE other customer in the entire store that I could see. I have had new tires installed on my bike at this shop, numerous services also. Looks like this was my last visit even though its time for a new bike too. Customer service? Whats that?

He really cared for the experience and culture of it all and his passion showed in how he walked me through my bike. I think all beginners should go in and start their bike life at this HD. My first Harley and it been nothing but bad experience with service problems. Had break issue twice under warranty and it took over month to fix and when I get bike back it’s missing a foot peg and they don’t know why. Brought lights there and installed there and they been nothing but trouble and I been telling them since day 1 and nothing done about it. Worse service department I had deal with!! They don’t care after you buy the bike. They just want to make a sale!

Yesterday I called and spoke to Gary about a 2014 Softail Deluxe listed for $11,499. He advised that someone else was trying to finance the bike and he would let me know if that deal fell through. Received a call later in the day from Gary letting me know the bike was now available for purchase and I was next in line. I told him I had a bike to trade in and would be purchasing the Softail cash and would be by within 2 hours. I received another call from Gary stating that the bike was not ready to be released because it needed to be prepped and his service man was out for several days and Gary would call me when the bike was ready. He called this morning and let me know that the bike was serviced and ready to go but that someone else might be by with a check even though I was told I was next in line. Gary also let me know that the bike had been priced incorrectly and was underpriced $2500 but he was told by the financial manager that he could honor the $11,499 for me or the other person. After telling Gary I would be by in an hour I realized it would be closer to 2 hours so I called and spoke to Robbie the sales manager to let him know and he said that would be fine. Robbie called me back a few minutes later to advise that they would not honor the $11,499 price that had been advertised online for several days but would now raise the price and I would have to pay the higher price. I told Robbie that they had just lost my business and he was ok with that.I cannot recommend this dealer to anyone because of the inconsistencies in what they say and what they do. I am very disappointed in their business practice and attitude.

Im a Canadian down for a visit to New Orleans area and over to Texas.I called the Dealer and asked if I could park my truck and trailer there for about 2 weeks. They agreed to do so with no cost. When I was there I had my bike washed and bought a new windshield and my friend had his oils changed at the same time. The service was no less than perfect and the guy in the parts department that looks like a Rock Star did a great job of making sure I got what I wanted. Just bought my second Harley in 2017 from Hammond Harley. Sales is second to none. Woody will help, and inform you of everything. Unfortunately, The finance man can’t be trusted. He pulled a fast one on me that cost over 3k. Verbally quoted my trade in, went over figures on a work sheet and all looks good. Signed papers of what I believed we just went over and discussed. But, later at home I went over the the paperwork and it’s not the same figures we had agreed to. I discovered that he added the payoff of my trade into my loan that Hammond Harley suppose to had paid. I was only credited partial of what he said they would pay as trade in. Also, added shop fee that were never discussed. There is no way I would had agreed to give them my bike for 3k less than trade in value. Bottom line, Sadly I have buyers remorse buying that bike there. All I wanted was a great bike and a fair deal. Seems like they would rather make 3k on selling me motorcycles, accessories and shirts. I’ve spent thousands there. Anyways, Very disappointed in Hammond Harley. The sales manager did follow up on my review and said he would look into it, but all he wanted to do is argue. Bottom line, these people are crooked and can’t be trusted. Sad Sad. I liked doing business there. Hope they enjoy the 3k. I will be doing business in Lafayette or Bruno’s.

Rance was quick to respond and got me set up with a free install with purchase of tires from Hammond HD.I mentioned a problem with the security system not recognizing the fob unless you held it against the fairing. Problem was diagnosed quickly (pinched wire inside the fairing) and fixed at no cost to myself.Service with a smile and, a Little Lagniappe.

I took my 2006 Street Bob in for a fuel leak at my petcock valve. My husband got a phone call from the service department telling him what all needed to be done because of a safety inspection they had done. My husband told them that he knew it needed some things done but all we needed right now was for them to fix my fuel leak, it was suggested by the service dept. that we flush the tank or replace the tank because it had trash in it. My husband told them he didnt want to do any of that, we just needed the leak fixed. We received a voicemail that my bike was ready and to call before we came to pick it up. I called on a Friday to inform the service department Id be in on Saturday or Sunday to get my bike, I even gave them my name so they could identify me by my ticket. We rode my husbands bike 85 miles to pick up my bike. When we went into the service department to let them know that we were there to get my bike, the guy at the service counter asked if we had been told to bring a trailer. We asked why would we need a trailer. We were then told that the tech had not cranked the bike after the the needed parts were replaced, which was a fuel line inside the tank, fuel filter and the petcock valve. The valve wouldnt leak unless the bike is running, so we asked them how they know its fixed if it hadnt been cranked. We had drained the fuel from the tank before it was taken in to the dealership. I asked the guy at the counter was there any gas in it, he said I think I heard some sloshing in the tank so I asked if they had put gas in it because we brought it in empty. Well after a flashlight was gotten from behind the counter, it was discovered there wasnt any gas in the tank. After further inspection from my husband, he discovered RUST in the tank! NOT ONCE during any phone calls to or from the service department did anyone mention anything about rust in my tank!! So we are headed back today to make another 85 mile trip, one way, to TRAILER my bike out of this service department!! HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION on their part! WE WILL NOT BE BACK TO THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT due this experience. This was our first and last time to use Hammond Harley Davidson service department!! We also asked to speak with John who is the service dept. manager and after about 20 minutes, we still had not seen him. We never did see him up until the point we left the dealership.

Terrible service department. I ordered a part for my bike and it took weeks to get an appointment to have the part installed. I was asked to drop my bike off early if I could in case they could get to it early. When I dropped it off the service writer said they would be able to do the job in one day and after I signed the paperwork he told me they would get to it in four or five days. When they finished the last job the bike sat for 2 days before the tech test rode it. I know it was done because the service writer showed it to me sitting there finished. I called and stopped in couple of times and got the run around about when it would be completed. These guys will tell you one thing on the phone and then something else after they have your bike. Every time they have worked on my bike there has been an extra charge that they forgot to tell me about when I dropped it off. The service manager is rude and bad mouths employees in front of customers. I will not be doing business there any more. Their bike sales practices are even worse. The finance manager Steve will tell you one thing and then put something else on paper. Trying to buy a bike there felt like a shady used car lot. I walked away from the deal and I cannot in good conscience recommend Hammond Harley to anyone. I posted a review to Hammond Harleys website and it was removed. I have talked to more than one manager about the way they do business and it seems to fall on deaf ears.

I took the motorcycle class they offer to get my insurance rates down, which they waive the fees for all active and separated military personnel as well as all first responders, and the level of knowledge and experience the instructors had and were able to pass onto us was astounding. Would have been worth the money by far. The staff was also amazing. I would and have recommended this class to everyone. They didnt even make too much fun of me for driving a honda lol.

I purchased a bike from them over a couple other nearby dealers because they gave me a price out the door with financing within 30 minutes of our conversation. It took me about 12 months to decide on buying a Harley Davison. My first stop was the Hammond store. I visited many others but kept coming back to the Hammond store. John sold me my trike, I was never once pressured to make a quick decision. I visited and spoke to him at least 10 times before buying and was always put first because he wanted ME to be happy about my decision. I cannot say the same about the Slidell, New Orleans, Houma or Lake Charles stores. Once I made my purchase, Dragon, Dana and Laurie spent about a half of day helping me get the look I wanted for my Harley. The LADIES in the clothing department are the best! They have become friends of my wife and I. I spend a lot of money in the Hammond store because I want to support not only my local dealer but the best people in the retail business. I will put that staff against any in the country!

I am a retired military officer, a H.O.G. member & recently moved to Covington LA. My 2002 Road King Police started running rough & would not idle. I called this dealership to get it towed in for repair only to be told they do not work on bikes over 10 years old. Unbelievably, the manager, Dragon, recommended some local motorcycle shop. Ive never in my life been turned away from a certified Harley Davidson dealership. I guess H.O.G. membership and Harley Davidson loyalty mean nothing to this location. I also notice several pre-owned Harleys for sale on their website that are more than 10 years old. I dont recommend anyone purchase any of those bikes because youre not going to get help from the dealership. Quite disappointing.The store manager, Kael Wilson, contacted me immediately after I posted this review to tell me his staff completely mishandled me as a customer particularly in a time of need. While I appreciate Mr Wilsons apologies, I already had my H.O.G. Roadside Assistance energized with help on the way and Mike Brunos HD dealership waiting to receive my bike.

The two guys that originally helped us were super nice and helpful. The store looked great and the gentleman who greeted us was nice and engaging but not in that overbearing car salesman kind of way, and even invited us to stay and watch them welcome new members to the Harley family.
