We had Jeff from Hamburg Overhead Door install a Clopay walnut 16x7 solid door and I can’t say enough about how professional he was. Jeff’s workmanship and his ability to get in remove the old door, set up and install our new door in just over an hour was extremely impressive. Nice customer service but I was given wrong door opener at the main facility. Luckily a service tech had to come to my house and he noticed the wrong remote and fortunately had 1 in his truck exchanged it and programmed it no charge.

I cannot recommend Hamburg Overhead Door enough. It started with excellent customer service in the showroom when my wife and I really had no idea what we were looking for. We had brought out our blueprint and color palette and they worked with us to pick out a perfect match of style and quality to tie the place together with our people doors. We had them out to put up the new door on the construction in the summer of 2020. The technician that came out was professional and courteous and explained what he was doing as I sat and watched him that day. They were on time and worked without delay. It came out beautifully. Having dozens of different contractors in and out during the house build I can definitely say the garage door folks from Hamburg were one of the best. (And any hesitation that they were in Hamburg and we were in Lockport went away quickly as it felt like they were right around the corner in how they responded to us). I had a quick issue with the rolling tracks after the drywallers moved them during their installation (after the door was in) and they came out no questions asked and fixed it up within a day. The technician adjusted the mounts where the drywall folks had slapped them back up at an angle and he showed us exactly how to keep an eye on the long term maintenance and how to keep it working perfectly especially when I use the garage for woodworking and sawdust gets everywhere. If you are building a new house or just replacing an old beat up door... I would have these folks first on my list. Thanks to Jen and the whole team for making something I know nothing about go so smoothly when i had 1,000 things to deal with in a new home construction !

Hamburg Overhead Door did a great job on installing two garage doors for me, both doors work great.

I felt very uncomfortable with the service they provide.

The first time they showed up they had wrong parts. The next time the guy came and put tracks up. He never came back. My husband had to put the motor on ceiling and the button on the wall. He had to hook them all up and feet the limits. I thought that was there job. Very poor job. It was basically a do it yourself project. This was a commercial door. Would not recommend them.

Spring broke on our garage door trapping our car inside. A service technician came and moved a mountain of items that were on a bench in front of the car so that the car could be moved forward so he could gain access to the garage door to replace the spring. Unfortunately we were at work and no keys to move the car. They notified us that they couldn’t fix the door until the car got moved. They sent another tech back to our home once my husband was home to move the car. They went above and beyond to replace the spring on our garage door.

My garage door cable broke last night and I called Hamburg Overhead Door at 8:08am and Booked my appointment for today. However Greg called on his way and my garage door was fixed by 9:10am!! Greg was super helpful and professional and my garage door is fixed! Service like this is hard to come by! Thank you Hamburg Overhead Door!!

Thanks for the bail out, Hamburg Door. My 20 year old garage door broke at the most inconvenient time right before the Holidays. I usually fix things myself so I spent time searching online with no luck finding the part same-day. No luck at the big box stores. My friend told me to call Hamburg Door, I did and they told me to come right over. Walked in the door and one of the techs saw the old part, identified it, walked back into this large warhouse, a few minutes later I had the exact part in-hand and he gave me some expert advice on how to install it. Worked out well for me.

I was a little nervous after calling. I was told the problem was probably a gearing problem. I was told it might be better to just buy a brand new new garage door opener. I was worried that this was just an attempt to prime me for an upsell. But when the technion showed up, he instantly knew the problem and fixed it. It took ten minutes and no new parts. He was completely professional and competent. I would give five stars, but I feel the price was high for the service. But the service was great.

The quality of the work is excellent. The timeliness of arrival for both workmen was not. The door installation was scheduled for 7:30-9:30am. At 11:00am we finally called to check on the status (thinking I wrote down the wrong day!), only to discover the installer wouldnt be there until noon. Similar events with the trim work on a different day. Great company, good price, communication needs work!

Hamburg Overheard Door was a great company to work with. They came out very quickly to assess the damage of our door and had a new one installed soon after. I didnt even need to be present for them to do the work. I would definitely use them again if need be.

I am very pleased with the quality of work performed by Sean Hurley. He did a full door replacement. He was extremely polite and very efficient, even cleaning every speck of dirt he creating when taking out the old door. The new door runs almost silently; after years of metal creaking noises from the old door, it is amazing how quiet it is.I was also surprised at the affordability of the job.

Got a replacement double door 8/29/19 from the tech Andy. He called ahead and arrived on time. Working alone, he efficiently removed the badly damaged panels and the dual tracking. Within 2 hours he had installed a brand new door of four panels, new tracking, side molding, with proper alignment and lubrication of the entire system. The new door is very quiet and outwardly appealing.He was polite, informative, entirely professional. His kind of work is to be applauded and rewarded accordingly. Thank you, Andy!

We do not recommend this company due to improper install and negligence which could have resulted in physical harm or death. we had a new garage door and opener installed a few years ago. I was so happy when it was put it, looked beautiful. But recently my husband was in the garage when the whole operator fell off the ceiling! We are beyond lucky my children, my husband, or myself were not severely injured or killed. Also lucky no vehicle was hit. This occurred on a Saturday after they were closed, had to wait until Monday am to reach a person. When I spoke to Hamburg door I was 1st told no one would be able to come out to fix this situation which was a installation error on their end. I was told I would need to wait 1 or 2 days. But thankfully after my husband sent a picture of what happened someone was able to come out that afternoon to rehang our opener hanging from the ceiling by a thin thermostat wire. It turned out that when they installed our opener they missed the stud with the screws. I find this company incompetent and negligent. And to add to it paint had been coming off my door and I kept wondering why on such a new door. well now we know it was bouncing around for the past years wearing off paint at the edges and between the door panels. But of course Hamburg says normal wear and wont fix my door. I know my door is has paint missing now because of all the friction if movement due to improper install. You can not trust this company. Not even a phone call to apologize for their mistake. Terriable company to work with and I am extremely unhappy and disappointed.

We made an appointment while at the fair. We were quite happy that we could get an appointment less than a week later. We had great conversation with the salesman Kelly. He said he that he would email the quote by the end of the weekend. The following Tuesday I called and just wanted to confirm that they had our correct email address. The gentleman who answered told me he did not have access to email addresses and advised that it would be at least 1 - 1 1/2 weeks before we’d receive the quote. I told him that was not what Kelly had told us. He said well, it is a very busy time of the year. Two weeks later and still no quote.

We called for a non-emergency repair appt & set up date for Wed PM (no specific time other than PM was given). Approx 4pm on Wed we received a voicemail that they needed to reschedule to Thurs PM (no reason given). On Thurs at 2pm I called to see if we could have an est time. The gal said she would call the tech & call me back. At 3, my husband called & was told they still havent heard back from tech. I called National Overhead door & had a tech out the next day and the repair was cheaper. We will never do business with them again.

I highly recommend Hamburg Overhead Door for emergency repairs, maintenance or replacement of any garage door. We seem to be exceptionally hard on our garage door, so their service techs have been to our home multiple times for emergency repairs, the guys have always been professional, polite, trustworthy, on time and very efficient. They installed a new door for us that was so much nicer than the contractor-grade door the builder installed. I love my new door – I never realized how much a new door can change the way the entire house looks. My garage is much warmer in the winter and the door is much quieter. I highly recommend calling these folks for any garage door repairs, service or replacement. They were great!

Very good experience with Hamburg Overhead Door. We had a Liftmaster 8550 installed in our garage this week, and Meagan was great at explaining the process, options and costs over the phone. Dave called while working at our house to let us know where the remotes and owners manual would be left when he completed. You dont even have to be home for the job to get done unless you want. Finished product looks great; would definitely recommend their work.

Bari, the tech, performed repairs for my broken torsion spring. He called ahead to advise when he would arrive and was on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem, clearly explained what the repair entailed, then efficiently performed the fix. Bari then lubricated and adjusted the door so it operated smoothly. Bari lets you know whats wrong and what needs to be done to correct the situation. Hamburg Door needs to hold him close and embrace his job knowledge and people skills. Zero stars. Unreputable business. Failed to meet obligations. A door installation was scheduled and confirmed on Friday for the following Monday. When Hamburg door did not arrive for our door installation, we contacted the company by telephone on three separate occasions. They said they would return our call each time. They finally returned our calls at 1 PM and stated that the door would definitely be installed Monday (today). They called again at 4 PM and told us that the door would not be installed until Wednesday. This is the worst company I have had to deal with after living here for eleven years. In 2011, we had them replace our garage door opener and it worked on an off. This last winter we had to replace our garage door after our snow plow service smashed into it. The salesman was tops and recommended we replace the door instead of repair it. Now the opener will not close at all unless we stand at the control panel and hold it continuously. We have had three repair people look at it and none of them can decide what the problem is. At this point we will have to find some other company to repair because this one is not responding to us at all.IF YOU NEED A NEW OPENER OR DOOR.....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.A follow-up to my original review.A friend of mine heard we were having trouble with the garage door and came over to look at it. In 5 minutes, he had diagnosed the problem and 15 minutes later it was fixed! The initial installation had placed the sensor eyes too close to the door and every time it was opened the sensor moved. My friend just repositioned the sensors and now it works fine.

We lost a cable on our 13 year old Wayne Dalton garage door originally installed by Hamburg Overhead Door. I called at 8:00 this morning, and by 10:30 the service repairman, Bari, was at the house.What a terrific experience! Not only was the company representative extremely responsive in handling and prioritizing the call, but Bari was literally a magician in the way he diagnosed the problems and recommended the correct fixes- it was not just a simple cable -- and quickly completed the required repairs.Not only was he knowledgeable, explaining at every step what had to be done, but he had a fully stocked service van with all of the parts required, including a new torsion bar and spings and hinges; something that allowed him to finish the entire job in one visit!Great company, great support, and and an extremely valuable employee...Thank you Bari and Hamburg Overhead Door.

We have a new built in Clarence. Our builder used Hamburg Overhead Door to install a Liftmaster on our double garage door about 6-8 weeks ago. We were initially very pleased with this because for 25 years we had them service our garage doors in our house in Kenmore. However, this experience has drastically changed my opinion.Our remotes for the door are not working, so I asked them to come out and sync the remotes with the door. They originally set up an appointment for an afternoon, where my wife stayed home to make sure they could get into the garage, etc. They never showed up. When I called to see what happened they told me they would not come out, because my builder had to call them to request the appointment. It would have been nice for them to call us to tell us that but my wife had to waste an entire afternoon waiting for them to come.I later learned that my builder still owes them some money, so they refused me, the homeowner, to service their product. The problems they have with the builder are totally separate from our ownership of the house. I am handicapped and have trouble on ladders, and the use of my arms. Now I will have to figure out how to sync my garage doors, probably by calling an honest overhead door company.

Terrible customer service. Megan - I’d suggest finding a new job if you can’t work appropriately with customers. I don’t appreciate being hung up on in such a rude way because I decided to go with a different company that was cheaper and could get the job done sooner. Very happy with my choice and I would not recommend this company on customer service alone.

We contacted Hamburg overhead door to get pricing on replacing two torsion springs on our collision shop commercial garage door. We were nervous at first because in the past, other garage door companies have charged us an arm and a leg to replace the springs. The customer service was exceptional and made us feel comfortable by sending the tech out with the correct springs to minimize the service call charge. When we finally received the bill, it was the exact amount they thought it would be and was considerably less than we have paid in the past. They seem to be very honest and knowledgeable in their quotes and repairs. We will be a customer of Hamburg overhead door from now on and highly recommend their company. Great job!!!
