This place is lucky I even have to give a star period! Every single time we order from there it’s wrong we have to return something or call & complain & honestly I hate doing that. First time a couple weeks ago order wings kickin bourbon we get them they are blazon Buffalo or whatever the spicy Buffalo is a whole order of 12. Also made my Turkey sub wrong. This time I ordered chipped beef over biscuit I get it they put it over bread & I get French toast it’s still doughy & no butter no silverware at all. Call in they say extremely rude well the only thing you can do is bring it back in & we will remake it…. Not we will replace it & give you refund or gofer a refund at all. Also if you purchase food on food stamps you’re not aloud to eat in the store! Why? It’s paid for. I can understand you must eat & go but nope. Cannot eat at all in there if purchased with food stamps!

Nice selection of food and snacks at good prices. I like that the bagels for the sandwiches are thin, much easier to bite and chew while still being filling and getting that bagel flavor. They have a touch screen for ordering, tho could use having two of them.

Great store, clean and staff is friendly 5 stars for that areaBe sure to check your food Before leaving. We opened our fresh chicken livers and they are burnt to a crisp. Grill staff working 6/12/21 at 1pm could use more training and take an extra minute to be sure the food they hand out is fresh.

Recently I ordered catering from Byers Market for my husbands surprise birthday party. The fried chicken and chocolate cake with peanut butter icing were a hit! Would highly recommend for a seamless catering service!

I am sad to say I have decided not to order from here any longer.....their food is delicious!!!!! However their customer service and quality control is the WORST!!!!!!!!! They dont even bother to faintly try to get your order right. I would highly advise against ordering anything from here at all, unless you definitely want your order screwed up.......

I don’t order food after working hard at my job all day to go and pick it up at a place where I get rudely treated by a fat woman with a barely understandable “Island “ accent. Someone explain to her she is filling orders and not giving them. If she’s behind the counter when I order again- you all can keep the food- I’ll go somewhere else.

If you want to starve to death while waiting for your food highly recommend also they sell leftovers and packing them to sell for people on food stamps they should be investigated and thy will as of November Thanks and have a nice day

I ordered the 6pk snow white burgers and this is what i get. The picture specks for itself. Looks like they took a regular burger and cut it in four sections. We need the real snow white grill back in town. This is garbage.

Clean friendly atmosphere and they’re always open 24/7 which when you need something last minute or past 10pmHere in this area your only option is here or a gas station (eww 😂) for a good meal and Sheetz gets kinda boring so it’s a real blessing. If possible I like to give mom & pop shops my business before a large corporation. Mike and his staff have always been great. They have the best chicken salad and lollipops in town! My family has ordered their fried chicken for years for our summer shenanigans, Mark even offered to deliver it to us!As the saying goes, “you can’t judge a book by its cover”...go in and give them a chance!

Their menu has the highest quality food taste that I have tasted in this area. For Mom and Pop store, Byers Market or Stop N Go have the best fresh food. Nothing can beat that.

Byers has great food and very friendly staff. There is a wide variety of options to pick from. I order food from Byers often on my lunch break and by the time I get to the store it’s ready for me and I’m always satisfied. I would highly recommend stopping by Byers for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Did used to be able to go here but I had messed up going to a great establishment I ride my skateboard past it every day and even try to show people how convenient it is but will once like to reestablish connection with them they serve great food and have great customer service and very decent prices so if you need to go somewhere convenient please go here

One of my favorite go to’s for lunch, their food is always delicious, makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Super clean and has a very friendly environment feel to it. Always worth the trip!

Their delivery service was quick, easy, and effective. I happened to use this while the nation was under a rapidly spreading pandemic and counties, cities, and towns were declaring a State of Emergency. Due to this, most grocery stores are out of just about everything. Food, water, basic essentials. I was able to place an order through a 3rd party app that consisted of items located at Byers market. Just a few hours later, I had one of their employees delivering me a crate of what I ordered right outside of my house. Whether your local walmart is empty, or you are trying to social distance...this was an amazing option and I am very thankful for the Market and their ability to serve their customers through crisis.

If your going to order, do delivery. The staff is rude and acts like you deserve them. The elderly woman at the register barks at you, must be the mother (Byers?). They have disrespected my service dog, manager even telling at me demanding to know what service he was trained for. And even when wearing a VETERANS hat, am treated rudely! Veterans avoid this swamp!

The subs use to be good, I do not know what happened but I went in at 3am for food and i was disappointed with the fact they did not have any roastbeef so I settled for ham which was cheap n loaded with salt. Byers use to be a place to get good subs and almost anything u could want to dink. The staff was outside smoking and kissing there boyfriend and it took 3 people to make my sub Im not even. Sure if anyone had gloves on.

They really charged me $17 for a BLT! Asked for a club sub, extra meat and had NOTHING on it but bacon. Tried reaching out for my money back and all I hear are crickets. 😡 cmon byers

Be very careful cashing checks and spending cash hear. They will short you money and rip you off ! They are very good at it. Lots of panhandlers out front of the store begging for cash and cigarettes as well.

The Spanish women didnt wash their hands and didnt even attempt to where gloves when making food, which was very unsanitary especially during this pandemic! I personally will never get food from this location again, this was unprofessional on the owners behalf. He obviously doesnt care for the safety of others.

This evening my mom’s food was ridiculously just plain hard! She ordered wings and mozzarella sticks.I called to simply inform the staff. Blake replied “call DoorDash”. I said we ordered from you not DoorDash. Blake rudely replied “I don’t like your attitude, I’m the only one here-I don’t have to talk to you. He went on to say “ain’t no manager here” and hung up on me. I called back; he answered “ I asked, were you the one who hung up on me? Blake said “yes”. I asked, “what is your name?” He preceded to spell his name as if he didn’t care.Never again!

So the chicken wasnt fresh it tastes like it was cooked a few days before and they just re heated it. They didnt wear gloves or hairnets, the food was awful and I had hair in my food.

Great food every time. Employees are always friendly. Traffic outside store (people and cars) is the only downfall. But Buyers do all they can to keep customers safe and people happy. Beenbgoomg here for years ,no problems. Can be expensive, but the food is solo good.

The Reuben was very good! I got mine on Rye bread with swiss cheese. The corned beef is lean. Delicious! I also got an order of french fries and they were average but good.

Best subs in Hagerstown! Made fresh and fast I like the Turkey and swiss, my wife likes the baked ham. Try a slice of the chocolate cake with peanut butter icing.

Amazing food, Amazing Staff

So I have a service dog and she had her badge on when me and my best friend went in to stop and go . I carried her the whole time in the store . This man that was stocking shelves came up to me and said “ you can not have any dogs in the store “ , mind you she had her service vest on . I went to the car and got her paper work and they were still complaining about the dog even after all that . They were all disrespectful. How would you guys feel if this happened to you ? Not worth any stars.

Not bad food.. but waiting to be waited on after paying for it, is a simple cluster ****. Everytime I order through phone, I cant seem to get any worker to hand me my order!! Come on! Its great food! Why ruin it!

I ordered a steak and cheese sub from there and they wanted $11.65. doesnt even come with fries or a drink. Thats ridiculous, all that money theyre getting and the prices are worse than fast food chains. Isnt it sort of like a mom and pop store? I could have gotten that cheaper anywhere, Tonys pizza, Rockys pizza, Dinos pizza, Vinces pizza. The list goes on. I was better off getting two meals from McDonalds! Wont be ordering food there anymore.

I cant deal with the ignorance anymore....Why is it my money is good ALL THE TIME and I offer my bag up everytime I go in there to be told leave your stuff to be lifted by the front door.Last times I called about it I was told to get a supervisor because they are suppose to put behind counter,yet when it happened today and I called right away I heard them talking when I asked for supervisor and the woman (prob not a supervisor)gets on phone and 100% takes up for her that I do have to leave my bag of important stuff next to the door.No big deal Im sure that I wont go there anymore the way the newer employees act but just hate how much this store has changed since I moved to htown back in 2003. Sad because I lived this store but just like my hometown, I dont even recognize it

Even tho it family owned they let minors sell cigarettes. Worked there for only a year and they fired me cause had to leave at 3am to go watch my daughter cause my family member went to work at 4. And if u a minor trying to buy cigarettes and you see that young boy or girl in there around 3-11 say you can buy cause why they selling them.

The employees in the Western Union sector of this location have no professionalism, and no sense of customer respect. They do not place the cares of customers before their own selfish wants, and should be reprimanded for it. The representative on the phone had an attitude with me. This business needs to seriously consider better, more customer focused, and more responsible management as well as lower level employees.

Byers is a unique place indeed. Yes I always come out with a story about it. But overall the food is fine, the selection is fine, and you can get a check cashed as we needed a few times in a pinch. Never had a problem with the personnel. Its not a sheetz kind of atmosphere. But it is always busy, no one can deny that. Can be hard to get in and out of at times. I definitely dont go out of my way to visit either. Its complicated lol.

A bit pricy for the food. Admittedly though still fast service and convenient location. Cashing checks seems too expensive and time consuming. Everything is a bit pricy as far as grocery or others. However I expect nothing less when it comes to convenience. If you need something quickish and you either live around the location, or are there, its the fastest option. Only have had one issue with ordering food. Definitely isnt my first option. Cant complain for the convenient location though.

The staff here are excellent on most days! I stop by here quite often and maybe only once or twice Ive encountered a staff member being a bit rude, but hey who doesnt have a bad day here and there. The only problem I have ever had coming here was men getting too close to me and hitting on me and asking me for money. And they do it in such an odd odd way...

Ive been coming off and on for years. I want to support our local businesses. But, every time I come back Im reminded of why I left. The managers cannot bring themselves to admit even simple mistakes and frequently argue with customers over trifling issues. More than my own experiences, Ive found that every time byers comes up in conversation, someone in the room has a new story to tell. Do yourself a favor and just skip this place.

I used to enjoy shopping here but now I try to avoid stopping here at all. The place has become a hangout for all the you got any spare change? SCUM of Hagerstown and the owners have turned a blind eye to it. I understand they are a stones throw away from the homeless shelter but this has become a problem to where i really dont want to shop there anymore

Ive experienced some very shady business practices before but this store has really gone too far. Ive cashed a check there and the posted fee was 4% after going to the counter and cashing my check something didnt seem right, I did the math and was charged nearly a 20% fee, not the posted 4% fee.I was told by whom I assume was the manager that we dont have to post our fees . I was told that they charge an additional fee if your check is under a certain amount AFTER it was cashed. This is very shady and suspicions that you charge an additional fee but dont tell the customer until after they have cashed a check. The advertised fee was 4% which is not the fee I was charged, this is fraud just as going to pay for a $1 priced item and being charged $10.I was also told by whom I assume to be the manager that if I give them the cash back they would give me the check back that was already cashed so that it could be cashed somewhere else. The last time I checked ( Ive worked retail for 10 years including management ) you cannot cash the same check twice, this sounds like they wanted to take my cash back and hand me back a check that I could no longer cash again.

I ordered chicken liver and they gave me gizords Ive ordered food there hundreds of times. That is the only time thyve did me wrong. Besides that I give them 5 stars.

The food has never been a problem, you get what you pay for and its always good and fresh. However Ive had staff ask too many personal questions about checks and my family there are issues with people outside hanging around it is a good place over all.

I will agree with the rest does need to try an clean up the outside better with all the loitering but overall I love the staff friendly an we always get a good laugh there been helpful towards me an they know Im deaf an the food Ill tell u what there chipped beef gravy is the only I found in hagerstown thats as close to my moms who lives out of town but yes the loitering does get annoying I get tired of saying I dont got no chance or this my last cigarette

I stopped in to get a check cashed for $1000. I only did so because it was the Sunday before MLK day and I needed money that moment. They told me I owed them $466 and refused to give me my check back. They said to come back Wednesday and they would give me the money. I went back Wednesday and said they didnt have it and that they didnt tell me to come that day. I called in Thursday and asked what was going on. They acted like they had no clue what I was talking about and hung up on me. I called back, the lady said she would ask the manager. I heard him telling her he doesnt know in the background. I asked to speak to him and she said he was in a meeting. Called back a few minutes later and was told he wasnt in today. Check cashing part of the store is shady and seems to be run by crooks. I will never go back. I would advise getting a check cashed elsewhere like Walmart

Went there today about 2am this morning to get a pack of smokes and a drink. While there I was looking for a candy bar. Saw what I thought was a regular Twix until I noticed it was peppermint for the holidays. Pick up the phone called my wife and she gagged over the phone and said No. So I put the candy back onto the shelf. Now I didnt put in back in the end cap where it was I simply laid it down on the combos. While checking put I feel hot air behind me. 2 stupid looking fellows with there official security t-shirts which us way to small for there 10 fold bellies watched me pat for my drink and cigs. I headed towards the exit door when on 10 fold ass clown asked to look into my pockets. I said excuse me! He said it again let me check your pockets. I said for what. He says the candy bar you took. I simply laughed guided him to where I put it at. Well that didnt satisfy him at all. He then says you tried to steal and then swoop down low and hide it. I laughed again... 10 folds says I saw you try to steal it. I said No I through it there after noticing it wasnt what i wanted. Then 10 folds started to drop every curse word and degrading terms towards me. Wow Im thinking to myself what a ass clown with his way to small t-shirt and 10 folds belly yelling like a ass as Im holding a 20 dollar bill and some ones in my hands where I couldve bought 18 candy bars. Then apparently this guy says Im no longer welcome there. Huh??? Because I put it a candy bar back in the wrong spot. Hmmmmmmm. As I proceeded to leave another too tight shirt 8 folds ass clown video my departure and also expressing his need to degrade me and his very bad vocabulary was somewhere in the level of a 3rd or maybe a 4th grader cursing as well. So my trip to Beyers stop and blow me was a joke. Whom ever owners are you might want to let then know they have no legal right to touch me or pat me down and instead of accusing me maybe just maybe look around to see where i laid the candy bar at to say hmmmm. He wasnt stealing. Im not sure if they were looking up at the ceiling or there bellies simply didnt allow them to look down to see it. I will be calling the owners to explain and hopefully something will be down with 8 and 10 fold. Good night and Merry Christmas.

I get an egg sandwich once or twice a week and EVERY SINGLE TIME they mess up my order. If its a small mistake like putting it on a roll instead of bread I dont say anything but today they gave me egg salad so I had to call. What upsets me more than anything is when I call down there and tell them they act like Im lying and tell me thats not whats on the order! my fiance is right beside me every time I place it and its a simple order. I dont know why they have so much trouble making an egg sandwich with cheese and mayo but when they mess up..instead of apologizing they say well youre going to have to bring the sandwich back. Like I want the damn thing! They are so rude ! I have to walk the whole way back down there and not once have I ever gotten apology!!! The cooks are nice but the ladies can be extremely rude! If you order from there check your food before you leave because chances are...they messed it up !

I used to work there several years ago. Back before they put on the addition. The sanitation practices that they used, well lets just say I taught them a thing or two. I grew up in the deli business as my parents owned an Italian deli and sub shop. They have definitely improved, no thanks to Dustin Byers the A hole that thought he was a chef wearing that ridiculous black chefs jacket. Lol. What a loser, so much that his father fired him, lol. Anyways I digress. The food is pretty good there but if you want a custom order be sure to watch them thst they get it right or check before leaving. I think they are a bit pricey but they do put a 1/2 of meat on the whole sub. I do eat there occasionally but the line to pay is a whole story on its own. They are slow, talk too damn much and move like they dont have a care in the world. PICK IT UP PPL AT THE REGISTER, WE DONT HAVE ALL DAY, JEESH.
