We loved the inside decor and the upkeep. The location was odd but not hard to find. The beer choices were great but the hazy felt more like a lager.

Great local brewery, I tried 5 of the beers on tap and they were all delicious. My wife finished her glass and she never drinks beer. Shout out to Harrison behind the bar, friendly, knowledgeable and took great care of us. I will be back. They rotate constantly but if you can find No Way Gose on tap I highly reccomend it. Support local!!!

Weird location, awesome beer. Didn’t expect to go to a nearby brewery post funeral, but it was pretty dang great. Solid beer and their seltzer situation is pretty cool (I don’t drink seltzers, but they do a plain hard seltzer and have pumps to mix in flavor, which seems pretty solid). Not overcrowded, happy place.

Great craft beer and service. The overall vibe of the brewery is nice and layed back with music, table games, and an outdoor area to sit. Would recommend 👌.

Great spot! Totally hidden tho. Its in a warehouse in the middle of a business district for sure. We did a flight to try a few and loved them all. They have 2 foosbal tables and some other games for everyone to play. We will definitely be back and for sure ordering the Happy Wife, Happy Life beer.

Probably the best IPA beer I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was super chill and they had a great layout. Love the fact that you can see them brewing the beer in the back. Definitely a hole in the wall place, 10 stars recommend!

The place is open but a bit narrow in places. The crowd seems not big at all. As for the beer selection they do not have a big list but unique of selected beer. Total of 8 beers they offer. Soo keep in mind beer is limited. Otherwise if you wants a quick drink that tastes decent then I would suggest stopping in a least once.

Once again they have a weekly release that hits it completely out of the park. I wont say that I love everything they brew but most of them have been very very tasty. From the owners to the managers to the staff everyone there is wonderful and makes for a very neighborhood friendly feel any time we go in. Some of the many reasons we go there often.

On October 7, 2017, Only Child Brewing held our son and daughter-in-laws Wedding Reception. They went above and beyond! The venue was stunning, the service was absolutely incredible. Only Child made their celebration the BEST wedding reception I have ever attended! If you are getting married, look no further. Have your reception here! You will thank yourself later!

Sampled a flight which was very enjoyable. A little of the beaten path but well worth coming out for a visit. No food but trying to get local food vendors to join in on a Friday. Vendor didnt show for our visit but not Only Childs fault. Friendly atmosphere. Recommended.

Perfect location off main road. Server was friendly. They have couches to kick back on. Beer selection neat too. You can order in/bring your own food. They occasionally have special events too.

Nice place with different areas to sit but it is still very open. Beer is good and staff is great. If the beer can move up some youd have a full 5 stars hands down

Went for yoga this morning. For $20 you get an hour of yoga and a flight of 4 beers which was an excellent deal. Yoga was fun, people were very nice and the beer was delicious, my favorite being the I Spy. Highly recommend it - whether you go for yoga or just the beer.

I only heard about OCB when I overheard two guys at another table in a restaurant mention it. I love seeking out local businesses. Bonus: I love good beer. The beers are well crafted and flavorful. I would describe the environment sort of as a beer version of a coffee house. Sounds strange, I know, but its a place where you can chill out, savor hand-crafted drinks made by people who really know what theyre doing, and have meaningful conversations with your companions or people you just met. So from my chance overhearing about it to you finding it on Google. Go there; check it out; support a local business.

Very good beer and I love that we have a brewery in Gurnee now, only reason its not a 5 is because the wait can be a little long sometimes when first arriving and craving a craft beer, but it is worth it. Great atmosphere and dog friendly! Also hope that food can be added in the future as it would only make the experience even better.

Only child is the best micro brewery in Lake County. I always assumed their beers were too fancy because of the taps they normally have at The Fogcutter are always fruity, nutty, fancy beer that Im not into at all. Ive been all over the world, lived in Germany for 4 years, and know good beer. Only Child has fantastic IPAs and Lagers. Brewers Lunch is currently my absolute favorite lager.I dont live in the US anymore, but every time I come home I make Only Child my first stop!

The beer is alright, but the atmosphere is usually unwelcoming. Each time we have been here, we haven’t been greeted. When we go to sit down, no one approaches us, so we just order from the bar. It’s not a huge deal, but a little odd because you see servers/bar tenders tending to others who are sitting. The first time we were there, we asked for recommendations, and the bartender appeared annoyed that we didn’t already know what we wanted. The brewery is close to our home, so we do and will continue to visit occasionally— we just have learned not to expect much when it comes to service.

The beer is good. Environment was a bit chilly. Didnt seem as if they cared if I stayed or left. Not much help when asking about their beers. She just pointed to the board showing the available beers and said, Thats what we have. So I picked one, it was good.

Some of the best craft beer in the area and a nice place that isnt packed. Love that they have a shuffle board table too.

This is a place to go for one of the best brewed beer, i give them five stars because they deserve it, nice staff and good service, i recommend that you try for your self.

The location of this brewery is a little strange being in an area surrounded by offices and warehouses but is well worth it when you get there. The double IPA is to die for and die I nearly did after enjoying slightly too much of it.
