This place is a ethnobotanical tea bar that serves Kaboucha on tap,, Kava and Kratom. HUGE area with patio seating and limited indoor seating.This place always has great vibes and an awesome atmosphere. On the weekends, in the evenings, you can usaully hear all the live music in the area. I come here to chill, drink Kratom, people watch and socialize.

Low Tide is super chill and really cute!! Kratom is awesome and its a short couple block walk to the beach! Highly recommend!!

Giving 3 stars for the vibes bc the vibes were great but the kava was not good. My local spot in NY has some awesome kava drinks that they add spices to (like cinnamon, nutmeg etc) that make it much better and add more benefits than just having straight kava. This also helps entice people who have never tried kava before since the taste is less harsh. I hope Low tide will try this approach, kava doesnt have to be all or nothing, the purist approach may be off-putting to newcomers who could really benefit from kratom or kava

One of the earliest kava bars in the area. The community of low tide is its greatest strength. Open mikes , tournaments and just all round awesome people with fantastic service. Drinks that are amazing as well.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Low Tide Kava Bar. The staff was knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly. The kava was high quality and so was the crowd that came. Justin is the best, if you dont go there for kava then you should definitely go there for Justin. He really seems to be good at his job. Plus hes got the knowledge on lock down and hes a handsome devil. I recommend getting the number 4 special as it never disappoints. Dont forget to try there water as it comes from the himalayans. Low Tide is a place to come and relax, make new friends, and try something new (Kava). I went in without knowing what to expect, and the staff was so friendly and informative. Both J and Justin were incredibly nice and took care of me. They explained what Kava is and the benefits it has, and also covered the first round and imbibed with me - it was fun! There were so many outgoing people there, and it’s nestled in the quaint little community of Gulfport. I love that they are even supportive of other Kava bars in the area - it’s truly a community feel. If you haven’t tried Kava, go check out Low Tide. BULA!!!

Great atmosphere, accommodating staff. Drinks are usually good and vary from batch to batch, and are better than most other brews available locally. Gulfport beach is a short walk away, so between this spot, nearby restaurants, and beach access, you can put together a nice stress free date with ease. Highly recommend.

The set up is ideal with a giant patio shared by the Lowtide and the bar next door... and a little live music stage where it seems like someone is always playing. Its also close to the beach and many other Gulfport restaurants and bars.

Low Tide is my OG kava bar and will always have a special place in my heart. It also has- in my opinion- the best Kratom in all of St. Petersburg. It’s possibly one of the most diverse establishments I have ever frequented- people of all types from all backgrounds come together in harmony and it’s beautiful. The owner Sean is a gem and the full staff is friendly and treats you like family. Only great things to say about this spot- plus it’s tucked away in the cute hippie little beach town of Gulfport which adds to its charm.

Its a great place to hang out with friends with a relaxing atmosphere in a great location. The only downside is that one of the owners has banned many people who used to hang out here for the most petty things. Basically if theres just anything the owner doesnt like about you will likely be banned.

The outside area shares space with some local businesses and there’s a stage for live music, so definitely a great vibe!

Awesome atmosphere, was busy on a Saturday morning even when it was raining and bartender was quick and efficient. Stopped in from out of town and was happy to have checked it out.

Can get a little busy, but the service is quick and friendly. (Could use a board or menu that list types and prices, but the staff is helpful)

Low tide is an awesome place to hang out. All of the kava tenders are very knowledgeable about the products that are served. I feel like part of a big family when Im there. Its very family friendly, I have no problem bringing my 18month grandson with me. Truly a wonderful place to spend your day/evening.
