This was my first time here for many years. The inside staff was helpful even though it was the end of the day they were tired. The woman at the checkout was friendly. The prices were good.. The outside experience was not that great. There were many staff around but we were ignored and not knowing the process it took us a while to find product and to get any help. I would hope this is not normal maybe just an off day.

Worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. Nobody is in a good mood, slamming pens down for signatures, what are you doing?? When Im waiting for the card reader to process, and just flat out rude people. The place is a mess, too. Get it together.

Every employee there is knowledgeable about all products they were tremendous help and finding what I needed and also educating me on product

Phillips building supply has been around for quiet some time. I like the place; the people there lend a helping hand. And if they dont have, what you want, theyll certainly order it for you.. So, the down side to Phillips, is its a bit pricey. But they are a small chain compared to Lowes or home depot but they step up to the plate..

The delivery driver ruined my yard with his forklift, tried fighting me. When I called the company the owner gave me equal attitude. Terrible terrible business with scumbag owner

Wow, couldnt say I had ever been called sweet pea by someone who works at a local company until today. The lovely young lady that answers the phone at the lumbar yard for Phillips Building Supply needs some training on how to deal with a frustrated customer. Placed an order for Galvalume on April 14th and still waiting. And to be told that I have to speak with the salesperson that placed the order is just ridiculous and come to find out was untrue. She could have simply let me speak to a salesperson at the lumbar yard as I requested (whether they could help me or not), but she chose to accuse me of yelling at her and then proceeded to call me sweet pea. I have to admit that I hung up on her because she continued to talk over me and was of no help other to raise my blood pressure. On the other hand, the lady at the metal yard (I called the lumber yard because I initially could not get through to the metal yard) was extremely helpful and pulled my order up immediately (without me speaking to a saleperson). Rather than be combative she kept her cool, allowed me to vent for a minute, apologized and said she understood my frustration. I now have somewhat of a time frame as to when they will start cutting Galvalume again. Im not ignorant to the fact the Covid has backed everything up, but when a customer has already paid for product that they are still waiting for almost 2 months later you have to expect the frustration. The 3 stars is for the very nice and helpful person in the metal yard.

Horrible experience trying to buy stihl. Called them when i was in the promenade to ask if they had any Ms170s in stock and was put on hold which was fine.. shouldnt be that hard of a question. I was on hold until I hung up and pulled up to there store. Brought the saw to the counter to buy and sid answers the phone 6 damn times before i can ring out. Dont even get me started on him lookin up parts

The workers inside are very rude the guys outside work hard and dont get a attitude with you but the workers inside the store always have a attitude when we go in to pick up materials and we asked if we can add something to our ticked it was 4:54 and they said no you need to go talk to someone else we are closedThey dont close until 5:00

Stopped by store to get a quote on replacement windows and they took the pertinent information needed and told me it would be tomorrow before they had a quotation for me. They were very polite and helpful in terms of looking at various windows. I will probably purchase windows from them.

I had a request for something to be fixed on my door and they fixed it on the spot and did not charge that much. It is a bit more pricey but still overall a very good establishment. Their doors were gorgeous and very sturdy.

I went in there to talk about trusses. Nate was very helpful in going over the various types and we decided what would work for me. He told me that he would call me the very next day after he got with the truss department and get me a quote for my trusses. Left a few messages- no call back. That turned into 2 weeks. I called on a Tuesday 8/4, asked for him and he promised he would call me by the end of the day with that quote. Told him I am running out of time and need to get these ordered. No problem he said. That was 6 days ago.I give up on doing business with this company. Apparently, they are too busy to respond to your quote requests or call you back.

We started shopping here a couple months back and we have been treated GREATLY by Nate and the lady up front. Nate has been very helpful, courteous, and wonderful to do business with. We are very satisfied.

Best price in town, courtious and helpful too.Revised post delivery...The only problem was that my material delivery was 12 hours late. Ordered on thursday, asked for delivery anytime on friday so i could have the material on site for a Saturday start. It arrived Saturday morning about 10AM.

I called to get a price for something. The lady who answered the phone said ok then immediately put me on hold. I waited on hold for 5 minutes before she came back on the phone to ask me What are you holding for? I told her that I needed a price on some lumber. And she responded with Oh Ill remind him. And back on hold I went, I waited another 3-5 minutes. So someone may need to do alittle phone training.

Sold me something they didnt even have in stock. Had drive around back to figure that out and then had to come back in to request a refund. Ridiculous.

I would give this place a ZERO if I could, the front desk “receptionist” if that’s what you call her has a terrible attitude and is always very rude when I call up there. I got a uhaul from this place a month or so ago! I got told I was being charged 20+ and some change to rent a uhaul trailer. I took this, and dropped it off in magnolia! Where I was told this needed to be dropped at, my card was charged 70+ and some change. I’ve called this store, uhaul, dispirited in on my credit card, etc. this happened back in September and not a single uhaul supervisor, etc has CALLED me back (I’ve placed 5+ calls to them) and neither had the staff with Phillips building supply and I’ve called them 3 times. Terrible customer service.
