Called this morning to enquire if my grandmother could pay for my new tires over the phone. I was told yes maam. I came in checked my car in and let the man checking me in know that my grandmother would be paying for them over the phone as well. He never advised me she was not able to do so. So I came in finished my shopping and was told that my car was ready to go. I called my grandmother and let her know that she could call and pay for them now. When I got to the register I was advised that they could not take payments over the phone. Not only did I call ahead of time this morning to make sure it was okay but I also mentioned it to the porter checking me in. The managers that spoke to me were less than empathetic to the situation. I understand policy but I also understand that I was told this was okay ahead of time... my husband called customer service to try to assist with the situation instead of explaining to him how this was our fault they tried to hand me the phone. After confirming with me it was his number on the caller ID. They tried to tell me that I could buy a e gift certificate and pay that way... but by that time I had been thoroughly embarrassed. Finally I had to ask my elderly grandmother to go to a Walmart to send me the money. All in all....if someone calls and asks if there grandmother can Pay for their tires there probably not asking permission but trying to do a phone transaction....also educate your porters on policy so they can educate your customers!!! Garbage treatment from a garbage walmart.

Was stuck on side of road and everything else was closed! They squeezed me in last minute and got me moving again fast!!!

I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the mechanics got right on my car 2 or 3 other oil change centers in town could not help me till the following Monday Walmart was able to take me in after 6 and had me out in 20 minutes.what a great deal Walmart is still doing in this auto center

No different than any other tire shop....no one wants to be there!7am-7pm...Except Sunday...🤷‍♂️ But when someone is, they have pretty good knowledge of the on hand products. Fairly decent work time, especially during the Covid-19 Era. (2.5hr)

The setup needs thought out but the service was done as I was shopping.

Jason did a great job at the order station, providing detailed information regarding the available tire options. The checkout cashier was friendly and efficient. Good service from beginning to end!

Right after leaving the shop with 4 new tires supposedly not even 30 minutes later not one but 2 tires went completely flat while on the road. Paid way too much money for new tires for this to happen plus when i called they didn’t even care and said it was my problem

The tire/lube manager was rude, not wanting to be helpful and said my tires were bad and they wouldnt rotate them (which I understand) but couldnt tell me how bad or even offer me the quotes for new ones. Seemed very inconvenienced when I asked how bad is bad on the tires. Like were they showing wires, gonna blow, or no tread. I travel alot! The worker didnt put the reason in the comments on the work order of why they wouldnt rotate them. I asked for a quote and he seemed very irritated that I would even ask such a thing. Isnt that his job to sell tires especially if my were bad enough to not work on them? The greeter and the cashier were very nice though. I never give bad reviews like this but this guy needs some customer service training BIG TIME! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!

Too slow and too lazy...never again

Went in today (10/20/2020 ) to get a new set of tires on my old work truck a few minutes after 10 AM. They were decidedly not busy, and had the truck in the bay: lifted, and the wheels unbolted by 10:30. The technician worked only on my truck during the entire process. After an hour and 15 minutes ( approximately ) I went to the service manager and asked to have a different technician finish since the first guy had managed to swap and balance two tires in that hour and 1/4. Service manager ( Daniel ) had a definite attitude, but walked over and checked out what the guy had done - nothing changed. The technician continued to around, fiddle with odds and ends, wander about, looking at the tires which still needed to be mounted and then walking over to a desk/computer terminal and standing there ( did this for about 20 minutes total ), and running the tire balance machine multiple times ( up to 5 times on one go-round ) never actually doing anything toward balancing EXCEPT lifting the tire cover and running it still another time. After about 30 more minutes, I went hunting for the actual store manager - the elusive and possibly fictitious John. Instead, I got another assistant manger ( female - no name given ) who went out to confer with Non-managerial Daniel: came back and admitted she had no more authority than Daniel, tried to blow smoke by claiming it could take up to 4 or hours to get a set of tires changed ( which would be true IF (a) they were actually busy, and (b) you had hours of wait time: the actual time to switch a set of four average tires should be about 30 to 40 minutes once the technician began working on them. Finally at 12:36, the tires were done ( about 2 hours after the work began and 2 1/2 hours after I got there ).

No hidden charges

Not many customers understand what the techs here go through,waits can be long especially when shorthanded otherwise the work is done in a quick and timely manner. First come first served. Best time to visit would be early in the morning when there arent many cars on the board. This Walmart Auto Care Center does about 50 cars a day,great techs on oil and tire side. Patience is key when visiting this Auto Care Center.

Caught a flat on I 10 EB and search determined this was the closest place. Arrived and waited outside at the service tent for 15 minutes. Was not acknowledged so decided to go inside. Spoke with an employee inside that checked pricing and availability of a replacement. Was sent outside to the tent to wait for another 20 minutes with several other customers. Once our presence was finally acknowledged by staff we were told it would be 2.5 hour wait! Would have been really nice to have been informed of the wait upon arrival, or when going inside.

I have not used the Walmart Care center in over 2 years.

Wonderful experience at Walmart 0969 in Gulfport,Ms. We were traveling on vacation when we experienced tire troubles. It was a special order tire and luckily they had one. The work was done fast and with great efficiency. The service manager,Wes Johnson, went over and beyond to make sure we got the correct tire. Desmond Taylor was very polite and professional. The entire department was extremely friendly. Thanks to all!!!

Matt was really kind and assisted me before they even opened! He gave me the best price, was super kind, and I definitely recommend this auto center! I wouldnt expect him to open before 7 every day, and its does get busy at lunch and afternoon. But I was in and out in less than 45 mins to change two tires! 5 STARS ALL DAY!

Waited over 3 hours to get a plug in my tire. Costs $10 for the service which takes 10 minuets. I bought a 7$ plug kit so I never have to go through that again. Even though we called ahead of time and asked how busy they where, they said vNot that busy, in and out in under an hour. lies

Thanks to Jason and Larry i got my oil changed quickly and the prices were not bad. I will be returning here for the speedy service and good customer service.

I had two tires put on

For the first time in several years, finally, someone knows how to balance tires the right way, the first time. I strongly suggest that whatever part of a vehicle is being service, the individual who are performing the task should take the initiative upon him or herself to clean that area to the point where it is acknowledgeable to the customers. It speaks volumes of the pride of the individual and their work ethics.Just Saying!

The Auto tech guy was awesome!!! He made a point to ask me if I needed help. Which I did. And he helped me find the right battery for my truck.

At first it was a lot of confusion and misunderstanding on both my part and Walmart but Jason of the Gulfport Mississippi Walmart explain everything very clearly and provided excellent customer service and for that Im very grateful. Because at first I was very angry with the whole process as it was going along but you only human we all make mistakes and sometimes you have to admit when youre wrong.

Fast service. It was easy to get info over the phone. Im happy with the experience.

Explained this morning could not wait around. Was told 1200 appointment means Im in at 12. Well, its 1230 and still waiting get in bay. Now they mention a one hour window. Not punctual here. Not a place to have work done on lunch break.

The people in the back by the mechanics are great the young lady thats working rite now back there she really took her time & helped us all back there

Here for a simple oil change. Key word simple. Been waiting for almost 2 hours. Still not done. I can see my vehicle from here. No one has been over there in a good 20 minutes. Every other Walmart Auto Ive been to has been fantastic! In and out in under an hour. Even the longest Ive had to wait was MAYBE an hour. This place is awful. Definitely will NOT be a repeat customer.

Were very very slow disappointed

The first time I went, I purchased a new tire but they put it on the wrong side. I didnt notice at first. When I called about it, the automotive manager, Will, put a tire on the other side for free. Were both disabled vets and on a fixed income so our was a major blessing. Will deserves a promotion!

Horrible service this day..... 2 hour wait to have one tire put on a rim that I brought to them not even mounted on a vehicle... they kept bringing in more cars every time someone else finished up...while my tire sat on the ground. Then they charged me for stuff I didnt want or ask for... then lied and told me it wasnt on the receipt only to learn that it was after I paid for it.... not waiting for a refund... sick of this companies tactics my fault for not using a smaller local shop and trying to be convenient.

Synthetic oil change all done. Had to request maintenance light be turned off. Multi point checks accounted for on invoice.

Bought two Tires today everything when well

I got in and got out with no issues but 1. I knew where my keys were but the service center didnt. They were busy n having an issue with the handheld n just lost track of them. Not a good thing but in the end I got my car back n everything was good.

I was in and out in about thirty minutes today. No one gets oil changes on holiday weekends lol.

Worst place ever. 3 hours to change oil and one tire . To tell me they change the oil but the tire I have to unscrew by myself. Was 6/6/17 next day when to a little place in Pascagoula 10 minutes very nice people hope this help

These guys may get the job done. But the attitude that comes with their service is unnecessary. They are pretty rude.

Expect terribly long waits. Yes I understand that it is a busy place. My problem is when you have to wait 4 plus hours for one tire when they have 8 bays and only two vehicles in the shop. The technicians spend their time walking in circles and talking. From now on I will pay extra and go anywhere else.

Very poor service and the workers talk ALOT more than they work! The manager of the service dept got on them when I complained to him. His workers were trying to blame their incompetence on my rim. After the manager found out what was going on he finally got the right man on the job. Took him about ten minutes. I do not recommend this place if you can not leave your car/truck. Update....... The tire service at Walmart in Gulfport south of I 10 put on the wrong size tire. Not happy

Waited for 30 minutes to only find out they didnt have a tire in stock for a Ford F150. Dealt with total incompetance and disorganization throughout the entire thing. They opened late due to being shorthanded but in reality they were just walking around aimlessly and had no idea where to start given that there were probably about 20 annoyed customers who had been waiting prior to opening. If you are in need of automotive services this will not be the place to go.

*****UPDATE the Store Manager (Andrew) contacted me, he showed his concern. He had me to come back up there. Everything was fixed in a timely manner, they were genuine and work ethics were near perfect. I greatly appreciate his paying attention and trying to correct the problem. HE did not make excuses he just simply apologized and accommodated me and my vehicles! I want to also thank Wes and Kolby! Dropped my car off at 1230 didnt get it back until 430. All I was getting was an oil change, tires rotated and balanced. The female clerk notified me she was in a hurry so she could go to lunch. Only 2 cars were ahead of me. At 230 they approached me and said we were looking for your Red Monte Carlo, I was there with my bronze acadia.. No call or nothing. Got back in my truck and my tires light was on and computer read 50%oil life. Male clerk states we are about to close so drive it around & see if the light goes off. If not bring it back tomorrow! NOw its 3 days later lights still on and my computer in my car says shut off engine oil pressure low! 😠😠 -

The wait was atrocious, over 6 hours before my car was put on the lift. Seems they did not plan properly as they had only 2 techs working and they just had big sale on tires.

No one ever knows whats going on here, and its an act of congress to get the simplest tasks accomplished...Dont waste your time...

I waited 2 hr with car in the bay to be told that they could not do the oil change bc my drain cap was leaking. However the oil level was high and when i pressed for details the tech told me it wasnt really leaking just saw some oil smeares near the cap. It was almost closing time ny that point sobi suspect it was BS

Got my oil changed and a week later my motor locked up in my car. Went to get a tire a friend paid for and they guys were rude and crowded my husband and I just because we didnt have a receipt. One guy even tried to intimidate us. Never use the tire center here
