I grew up using Market Basket I was probably four or five when mr. Thompson about that store in groves on Lincoln. I have always used Market Basket and I always will they take care of me just as if he was still alive. I miss the boss.

If I can give it less than 1 star I would give it negative 50...told one thing on phone, excusing made not to help me at courtesy both and postings which listed different than the excuse used not to help me.....I never experienced what I experienced during that visit...lost my trust forever and will share with others as well. There are other options than Bruces Market Basket to spend my hard earned money. I am only one man, but a man that will only shop Bruces market basket as an absolute final need, last resort.

This store is always clean and orderly. I especially love their produce section. The clerks are always courteous and professional.They had water and allowed me to take 3 cases. Bravo!

Bruces is a clean, courteous, to customer store. Its got some of the best meats, and usually has that one idem you cannot find anywhere else!

I’ve purchased boudin and so has my daughter in the past month and it’s very pricey.Had to throw it away....Very dry and taste OLD.Very disappointing

Yall have a cashier there that treated me like i had leprosy today. Long blonde hair. In her 40s maybe. I will never go back.

They have a great team of trained staff members. When I need assistance locating an item, almost any employee is able to guide me to the correct location. With their new rewards system, its even better, you get coupons online and special pricing on select items in the store. Some are even free when you use your points.

Great family store .neat clean organized. The meat is so fresh your mouth salivated when you walk by and see it. And where else can you get a 59 cent money order on Sunday. Check them out you wont be displeased.

Ive grown up coming to Bruces since before I can even remember. They have always had wonderful customer service and their pharmacy staff is great as well. The deli staff and food are also flawless. What can I say? I love my Bruces Market Basket!! Thanks guys for making going to the grocery store such a pleasant experience!

Great grocery store that has some things there that you cant find anywhere else except in south Louisiana maybe. Nice friendly folks make it a great place to shop for groceries. I highly recommend their green onion sausage.

My relatives live in Groves, and I come to visit from St. Louis. We shop at Bruces while Im there, and I just love this store. The employees are friendly and every dept. always looks very clean. I love the convenience of the store with ample parking. The bakery has yummy food too!!

Please dont change anything. Some cashiers (Mainly young girls) doesnt have enough training in Customer Service but I can tolerate their slick rudeness because of the management and products this store sell. I love it.

I found Market Basket to inviting. People were nice and pleasant. But I think if they had more sales. They wouldnt be able to keep food on the shelves. Just my opinion. Food for thought

Walked to get a shopping basket but for some reason it would not close. I walked over to this little booth where three employees were sitting. I was ignored at first, so I knocked on the window, although they could see me walk up. Finally, I asked whether either one of them could help me with closing the shopping basket? The younger looking Male exhaled as if I was bothering him but he did come to assist. I politely talked to him and not once did he uttered one word. Finally he said, its broke. I would have rated the store a five but with the reaction I got from the three employees, I really should have just left the store. I am not a market basket every day shopper and after today I probably wont become a regular shopper, although I just moved to the neighborhood and can literally walk there. The cashier was pleasant.

I was very pleased to find a product that I have been looking for a long time at other grocery stores called Chili Magic. I used to be able to buy this at any other stores but they stopped selling it, but Market Basket still sells it.

Good place to shop. There is a lot of good deals plus there is a deli there.

Manager on duty should keep his opinion quite as he just told a fellow employee that he was ready for it to rain so these people ( loyal customers) would stay home.....Ill not be back....Ive been shopping here since 1972 you do the math....

The staff is very nice and extremely knowledgeable. They are always happy to help. Im giving Market Basket 2 stars because so many of the items on their shelves are frequently expired and the produce is often poor quality. Ive shopped there often and on multiple trips came home to find that the tortillas were expired by 2 months, ice cream that had been expired 4 months, even grape juice was expired over a year! A big cupcake bought as a gift was hard as a rock, even a phonebook couldnt squish it. Yesterday we went and found spoiled cherries and the bananas we bought were rotten on the inside!

Fast, Friendly, and Knowledgeable employees. If you need something just ask anyone. They will be able to tell you exactly where it is, what aisle its down and, that spot on the aisle. Plus they wont juat tell you where it is. They will bring you right to it.

Of all the market baskets that I have been to, this is by far the best one.

*Update* Nearly one year ago I visited this store as I annually do when I come in for the holidays and it needed much attention.. but oh how they have changed in a year!I was in recently on my annual trip and needed to stock up on all great Cajun products and meats.. and low and behold.. the revamp of the store was completed.The store front has a new modern face lift that will be bound to survive the next seasons hurricanes. The parking lot lights and area are well lit and open. The overall front area of the store has a great inviting presence.As you enter the store, they have changed the lighting and the walking flow so that you can easily get what you need without clutter and they used clearly posted signs and markings for specials.As to the classic memory of the store, they have kept all of the check out stations just as you have always known them. The baskets as well and the Managers station is still elevated and visible by everyone.. so you know where to find them if you need to.The meat counter area is brightly lit and always providing fresh choice cuts.Overall, the service has improved as well. I simply walked down any aisle and I was always greeted and directed to where I needed to find something. Sometimes, the best stores have the best employees.. and this is a family heritage that covers every generation.Bruces is a neighborhood staple. It has survived and updated with the times. I am pleased that they finally were able to complete the renovations and stay off the weather of time and be around for future generations.
