I went today to purchase a drum set that that they have had in their possession for over 7 months. 1st the drum set was located in their Kenosha store and they were not able to sell it. It then it was moved to the Greenfield store in the hopes to sell it. So far no sale of the drum set. This is probably due to the fact that it is well over priced. In the past I have purchased many items through Music Go Round, some of these items where not priced appropriately and I have offered cash for the item and a slight discount which the store agreed to. But today was not the case. I ask the clerk who helped me if I were to pay cash if I could get a slight discount. He said no, I then explained to him, If I were to pay full price for the item with my credit card, that the store could possibly lose 2 to 4 percent on the credit card fees and by me paying cash at a discounted price would end with the store making more money. He choose not to even listen or care about what I had to say or the fact that I am a repeat customer who lives over an hour away. The clerk was actually quit rude to me, but if you look at the other reviews, I guess this how they treat their customers. I think Im done shopping here and strongly encourage others to do the same. If you know what you want, have done your research and recognize quality you WILL get a good deal at music go round,and occasionally you find a extremely good value missed by the employee price evaluation. Theres a large and diverse choice of guitars,basses, amplifiers, keyboards, I dont know anything about the drum choices other than that they do have drums available, so take your time and LOOK, it will not be a waste of time.

The guys who were working at the counter were very rude to me. You are not greeted when walking in, they will bark at you for not wearing a Mask. I understand policies, but there is a level of professionalism, and they do not have that. If you dont mind being talked to like Natzis & no regard to good Customer Service or your feelings, then feel free to shop here. I valve my Freedom & a level of Respect for others to not come back.

Costumer service? Not so much….I was in the store for maybe 15 minutes, nobody bothered to ask me anything. Had a used bass case put aside while i looked around store was $49.99 positive. When i went to buy it they marked it up to $79.99. So i put over 100.00 in other merchandise back. Left wont be back .

They have some decent stuff... good selection of vintage amps. The problem for me is I was told by more than one associate the prices are fixed, no room to bargain. Their prices arent cheap either, buy low sell high..

Love this place. Bought a Gibson two years here and a Boss OD-200 ladt week. They have great deals, but you need to be patient and keep an eye on it.

Most stores dealing in used items - regardless of the nature of the merchandise - dont take the time or put in the effort to merchandise their shops as well as MGR in Greenfield does. What they have in stock is alway catch-as-catch-can, but theyre on a par with with the best resale shops Ive visited.

Shop here many times. Decent place for used gear, not a great deal but decent selections. I got yelled at because my mask feel down as I reached up to grab a guitar. I apologized to the store clerk, decided not to make the purchase and left shortly afterward...He was understanding but I wish everyone would practice some common sense here with the CDC guidelines.

I sent an email in for a quote on some gear and ended up doing a trade towards an item I wanted. The process was smooth, quick, and the store is clean. I had an enjoyable visit. I had a very positive experience.

I am SO impressed with Brian and Music Go Round. With COVID and having an immune compromised family member, I was hesitant to purchase a piece in store, so Brian was so kind and helped me through the entire process online. He then helped load my new bass curbside and made the entire process so easy and seamless. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We called ahead for a drummers throne and they made it sound like they had plenty of new and used. Got there and the used was either to far gone or even more expensive than used .

My bad for walking in close to closing time, however this location must not want my money.. I knew exactly I wanted to buy. The guy who greeted me at the door made sure that I knew they were closing soon. Then as I was walking to the guitar, another worker approached and was telling me how they are closing in less than 2 min. Ok I get it, yall are closing but didnt even give me a chance to grab what I wanted without feeling rushed. I wish when I worked retail my bosses would let me close right at the end and would have been ok with me rushing customers to get out the door. Very frustrating having multiple people tell me basically to hurry up. When it wasnt even time to close yet. For someone who was getting ready to drop a couple hundred on a guitar here, I just walked out. There are other places that would have been happy to stay an extra 5min to help me checkout.

I have been a satisfied customer for several years of Music Go Round. I recently came into the store wishing to do some business. I was wearing a mask and was met by a young sales clerk who told me that I was not wearing a proper mask and I had to leave. I am a doctor who has been wearing masks my entire 30 plus year career. I have taken a micro-biology course. I dont believe this young clerk has either of these qualifications to make judgements on masks. My wife and I have been wearing these masks this entire pandemic to numerous businesses and were never treated in this manner. It was a humiliatingly experience to have four young sales clerks staring at me as I was kicked out of your store. I will not be back!

I was given exceptional customer service at the Greenfield location of Music Go Round. Ryan helped me during my most recent visit, and I am not the easiest of customers to help. Ryan was awesome! I was looking for a fuzz pedal, and I want to try out the item before I buy. Ryan was extremely helpful with this process. He even researched certain pedals to see if they were what I wanted. We found what I was looking for, but when I took the item home it did not sound good on my rig. I had to return, but when I did, Ryan was also extremely helpful with pointing me in a direction so I would be happy as a customer. I could have just left the store, but I ended up buying something other items because Ryan was exceptional. Thank you for the great shopping experience!

This MGR store has a secret: the employees give great service. As experienced musicians, they diligently work to solve your problems or select gear. David and Steve, for example, helped this reviewer get many music synthesizers and cables. Gabe helped with an Alesis electronic drum kit. Everything works great!Their old store did not impress me. It was nearby in the Greenfield Fashion Center. This standalone store looks nice inside. Expect to quickly find gear for your gigs or studio. Why bother? Fortunately, some new or standard accessories are stocked. Great music store. Most of the stuff here is used, so don’t plan on finding new stuff. With that said, the product they do have is clean and in nice condition. They have a huge selection of guitars. Quite a few cymbals, drum kits and hardware. The piano/keyboard section is smaller. Prices are fair for a small business. Staff seemed friendly and was helpful when asked. Overall good store to find music gear or if you are looking to buy instruments but don’t want to spend a ton on a new one. Solid place.

I’m not local, actually from Florida, but they treated me liked I’m a regular. This was a great buying experience! Simple transactions are easy, but the true measure is how companies deal with small mistakes or unforeseen issues. During the new virus reality (closings and need for shipping), an item was accidentally left out of the box and the performance didn’t meet with exactly what I assumed it would be. EVERYTHING was done to make it right and was done almost instantly (refund for missing power cord/and for OEM preamp tube). I bought a used Godin Velocity electric guitar from Music Go Rounds website. I relied on the photos and was not disappointed. It plays great and the guitar looks almost new! The communications from Brian S kept me up to date on the shipping process. The guitar came packed very well and set up correctly. In the future this store will be one of the first I look at for future musical needs.

Best experience at a retail store. I called looking for a used drum set. Talked to Josh. I went in to look at it, and was pleasantly surprised at the size and inventory. I drove up from central IL as I found a great deal on an incredible drum set. The initial phone and online processes were simple and clear. When I got there, I was blown away by how well organized the store is! Very easy to shop and find things. The staff was very cool and helpful during my purchase and in helping me get my drums out to my car. I would not hesitate to make this drive again over shipping something to myself.

Great selections. Its a very open environment and they dont mind if I take down one of their Martin acoustic guitars and try it out for 30 minutes. They also have quiet rooms for when you want to try out guitars, amps, or pedals. I love it here.

Since they moved to their new store, the selection has grown exponentially. I have only ever gone there as a drummer, but the staff is super knowledgeable and helpful, and 99 times of 100 they have what im looking for. I have spent a fair amount of money in this music store and I dont regret any of it. Its got the selection of a box story, with the service of a corner music shop.

Admittedly, I am now a regular at both stores, but the service has always been top notch. I come up from Chicago often, usually chasing discontinued keyboards or a deal on an amp. Having had to deal with the box store locally, I can attest to the fair value MGR gives in trade and even cash for the items they buy in. Prices are usually market value, but the instrument is playable unlike buying online, and no shipping worries.And if youre a bargain Hunter, be patient. Theres a system in place for automatic price drops if a piece sits too long.I might have a favorite person to deal with, but everyone has been great.Skip online auctions and support the brick and mortar stores that earn the business.
