Just a bad experience. Would not recommend anyone taking their vehicle to this location. For an auto service and tire center, the gentlemen who went to work on my hood latch didnt take much time to address the issue before he told me the hood latch was bad. 2 minutes tops. The company wasnt prepared to fix the issue, and the dude I spoke with didnt have a price as to what it could cost. Dont waste your time.

I called two different Honda dealerships yesterday and they couldn’t look at my brakes until next week, but I was going out of town and wanted them looked at ASAP. I’m new to the area and I just happened to pull into Monro and I’m so glad I did. They were able to get me in this morning. They test drove my car, inspected my brakes, found nothing wrong and charged me nothing because they offer free brake inspections. Yay!The tech explained everything and answered all of my questions. I’m a single woman and know nothing about cars so I appreciated his professionalism, sense of humor, patience and honesty. I will definitely take my car to Monro in the future and recommended all of my family and friends do as well!

I had discovered a screw in my tire. The staff was able to get it plugged quickly so I could get on with my day.

Looked at problem, ordered parts n fixed it. Was in shop about an hour and didnt charge me anything for parts or labor.

They did a great job and in a timely manner I am more than happy with the job they did.

I wanted to get a muffler and went in here 10-17-20 to buy. The quote was for only a muffler, installed quoted price $550.When I said wow. Thats a lot more than I expected. (Knowing the cost of a muffler, for my car, is $65-$85).The guy started to sell me. He said that the cost of good mufflers are going up and at Munro they offer lifetime warranty. And went into stories of how they took care of customers and how they help to keep people from having bad experiences from other shops.Good sales manager on duty. But I wasnt buying. If he would have been under $200 I would have bought that day because I wanted to get it done right then.I left and went to the muffler shop in fortville. He quoted $155. Done.Lost sale for Monro.Update: 12-22-2020Called the corporate number as directed in my response. I was given a $35 credit good for one year, that can be used at any Munro store. (Ill probably never use it. More than likely Ill take it down to the store and give it to a waiting customer.) I was assured that their normal practice is not to overcharge customers, and that upper management would get involved.Meanwhile, I kept my appointment to with Pauls Garage in Fortville, Indiana (about 20 minutes away) where I was charged $133.10 (which was actually less than their originally quoted price).Friends, isnt it worth the 20 minute drive to save $416.90?

I have been going ONLY to this shop for 18 years because they have always treated me with respect! The prices and people are great! I have not had any problems from anyone that had worked or are currently working here! I have introduced others to this place and will continue to do so! Really is a great place to go for repair work! CHECK IT OUT! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED! If i cant fix it they can!

We has an appointment for 9AM but they would not do it unless we left the car because of covid 19. There were 8 people ahead of us. They should warn when making the appointment that they would not do while you wait. We were a returning customer of 3 years. Previously I would have given them 5 stars.

Billy and team was absolutely amazing. Quoted me a very competitive price on pads and rotors, showed me what I had versus what is spec (new). They happily mounted and balanced tires I didn’t purchase from them. They are truly happy to EARN your business. I showed up at Monroe Muffler and Brake unexpectedly when I was traveling on the interstate and needed a balance to keep my wheel from shaking at high speeds. They were extremely friendly and worked me in right away. Highly recommend them! Rick was very professional and sensitive to my need to get back on the road. Did not charge me a fee for emergency services.

Awesome customer service by Matt Low and his crew! My wife and I were travelling through town and stopped for gas and noticed our engine was smoking. Opened the hood and the oil cap was missing from oil change the night before from a different chain, and oil spewed all over. Matt called around to find a new oil cap, had one of his guys drive over to get it, and topped off my oil. Unfortunately you dont often get service like that anymore. Thank you Matt!

Came here after a bad experience with another oil change company. I was treated very friendly. They were able to do same day service. Great prices. It isnt very close to my home/work, but they are great. Worth the trip.

I am actually writing a review BEFORE I get my work done, but I do have high hopes. I am going on vacation very soon and need new tires. Last Friday I went to Walmart at 12:30 pm to get new tires and they told me and 2 other customers in line that they could not do anymore work in the auto shop because they were on overtime and that is what their manager told them. So, I called Monroe and talked to a very nice man named Matt, and eventually going over there. He was very well informed and I feel that he found me a good deal and the best and safest tired for my vehicle. The tires should be here on Tuesday, put on by Wednesday . Walmart did call me and offered to give me a 20% discount but I am sticking with Monroe all for the Customer Service of Matt.

Received yet another turn of great service from the staff at Monro in Greenfield, IN. They squeezed me in for a tire check and repaired it quickly. Every time Ive been in, the staff always take great care of my car and dont push any unnecessary services on me. They always work around my hectic schedule as well. If I ever have any car issues, you bet this is where I will return!

Monroe always has good service and friendly staff. Make an appointment though cause they are usually busy. Although i did just get my daughters oil changed on a walk in in about 30 minutes.

Top notch service - hands down!!!! We came in on a Saturday at 12 noon. Our car had broken down on the highway . We got it towed here and the two mechanics Bruce and Billy were amazing. They figured out the problem and had us back on the road in a few hours. They were completely professional, courteous, and best of all, got us on the road again !! We live in Dayton Ohio and may make the hour drive to have them service our cars regularly!! Thank you so much !!!!

I recently revisited Monroe and was delighted to see Billy at the desk. I know when he’s present I can count on my vehicle being cared for properly.In a earlier post I was angry that my AC went out 2, months later when I traveled to Florida and couldn’t get it it looked at through the National Network. I expressed my dissatisfaction with Billy and he explained the National Network had experienced a computer problem for several months and I wasn’t alone in being upset by this. Wow! This shop is by far the best I’ve ever been to through years. Hands down. They are transparent and will even take you to your car to show you everything! Not the cheapest place around, but you get what to pay for!

If you need work on a vehicle, domestic or import then this is the place you want. Billy is very friendly, well educated on what he’s talking about and has always priced a repair at a fair price. Been going to Monro being taken care of by Billy for a few years now when I need too and Have never been steered wrong. Good vibes, good people and always helpful.

Im not one to complain. However, terrible experience all around with these people. They pretend to be friendly, but they are scam artists. I took one car in for an oil change because they offered a deal; a short while later the engine was shot. In between this, I took a different car in telling them I suspected I was having an issue with my alteralter. They tried to sell me an $800 air conditioner (spoiler: it was an alternator).

I was only there for a few minutes so my rating is based solely on my interaction with one person. All I wanted was a quick estimate (not a commitment) on fixing the broken tail pipe. But the guy refused to even look at the car unless I wait around for over and hour because he wont know what need to be fixed until he get it up on the lift. But did promise to fix it in two hours (even though he had no clue what was wrong with the car).I went over to Main Street Muffler & Brake down a mile away from Monro Mufflers, they fixed my car in 20 min for a very reasonable price.They really dont care much about customer service.

They spent at least an hour on my old van to see what all it needed. It needs a lot of work and I told them that it would have to wait until the first of the year. I went to pay them. No charge. The people were really great. Thanks

I just discovered a bad tire on Saturday at 5pm. They were able to fit me in and changed the tire. I was out the door a few minutes after 6PM. Thank you for the great service.

I was on my way home from a ball game and had a flat and couldnt get the wheel off after removing the lug nuts. I called Monro muffler and the manager gave me a very helpful tips. it came right off,I finished changing the tire and was on my way. Thank you very much you were very helpful.

They inspected a used vehicle for me, and were very open and honest with everything they found. They were great about changing my appointment time when I had an issue getting there. If I lived closer to Greenfield I would be sure to take my car there when I had an issue.

I had and issue that another shop couldn’t diagnose and decided to give Monro a try. They found the problem and did the repairs quickly and efficiently. The staff was awesome and communicated with me about what needed to be done. I’ll be taking my cars there from now on. Thanks

Great work, excellent staff and good pricing. Only minor issue is they were unable to do an alignment on my newer import. Seems to be a common problem, as I had to call around before I could find someone that was able, so I can’t hold that against them. Will continue to use them in the future.

Big-O wanted to charge me twice as much for brake and tires! Jim Curry (manger) worked a deal with me to charge me much less than their competitor. Very nice staff and gets things done in timely manor. Also has small town feel without slow service.

Staff is very friendly and they did everything they could to get my car done in time for me to get to work. However, the reason i went in was to get my brakes checked because the ABS light was on. A day later, i was having the same problem after spending $400 to get a wheel bearing replaced. I will schedule another appointment to have it checked out and will change my rating based on that, but as it is now, they didnt fix my problem even though i spent a good amount of money there.Edit: went in on a Saturday and it definitely took longer for them to get to me. They told me the wire harness needs to be replaced, and estimated the cost at $200-$300. If i can find someone else to do the work, i will. Though the staff is wonderful, and very accommodating, the cost of services is pretty high.

Not impressed! The guy at the counter was rude and seemed to not want to be there because it was Sunday. I feel like they lied to me about the issue just to get me out of there. No kidness at all. I wont go back it is not worh it all!

I took my suv to get 4 new tires installed and get the alignment done. Everything went smoothly. The manager was very nice and welcoming. My family will be coming back to get tires installed in the future.

HORRIBLE!! DO NOT PAY THEM!! I Paid $80 for a full synthetic oil change and filter change. Check engine light came on within a block of leaving, drove my car to my mechanic (few more blocks away) just to be informed that No, there was No Way Monroe changed my oil or my filter!!! I had been paying Monroe to change my oil for the past year.. since they had not actually been changing my oil (just topping me off with dirty oil).. I had unknowingly been driving my car on dirty oil and doing this loosened and broke my timing chain $$$. Monroe should have to pay for the issue they caused me. Im sure they have been ripping people off in this town for some time now.

I have always received fast, professional, no nonsense care, the attention to detail is what keeps me coming back! I recommend anyone to go in and experience great car care service.

Great customer service

I’ve been taking my vehicles (‘13 Impala, ‘05 Grand cherokee, ‘01 Silverado, ‘03 envoy and ‘99 grand marquis) to Monro for over 3 years now. I have had the best customer service out of any shops I’ve ever visited. Not to mention, the work that has been done on my vehicles has been more than satisfactory. I have had something as simple as a oil change, and something as difficult as timing issues diagnosed and fixed. I’ve met a lot of the staff and they are very knowledgeable and also speak in terms that arent way above the normal consumers head. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs anything done to their vehicle. Very competitive pricing and will work hard to get you back on the road safely!Garrett

While driving from Indianapolis to Greenfield in the rain my car was very floaty. I was so happy to find a tire place off the highway. Upon walking up to the front door one of the employees moving a car clearly saw me and almost ran into me! I went inside not even mentioning that and explained my situation. I asked if he could check my tire pressure. He said You have a sensor in your car. with a smirk like I was a stupid female. When I explained that I had a flat tire in December and the local tire place had not reset it he said he could help me in about 2 hours. Seriously? Help a single mom with safety concerns in 2 hours? All I wanted was the pressure checked and maybe some air if it is low. I am now sitting at Riley Tires. The took my car right in even though they have a waiting room full of people. They are checking my tires and will reset my TPMS for $5!!!!! Now that is fantastic customer service!!!

My sister came here to get a simple oil change they told her it was going to be just an hour or two due to the fact she didnt have an appointment but a few hours goes by my dad calls in and the man my sister talked to tried to convince my dad that there was damage to the front end of the car and her bill was going to be $900 they tried so hard to say that it was needed. nothing is wrong with the car just stereotypical car place trying to rip off a woman.

Had a shakiness in one of my tires. Scheduled an appointment to have it looked at. Turns out whoever changed the tires last put 2 spacers on one tire, and I was missing a spacer on another tire. Monroe Greenfield agreed to fix it at no charge to me. Very nice and explained everything.

I had a coupon for oil change and new wiper blades for less than $20. Time to pick up the car and invoice $124. I reminded them that the total bill should be no more than $20 plus tax! Oh yes, dont know how that happened. They also put the oil filter and drain plug on so tight that Walmart refused to work on it for the next oil change. I had to take the car to a mechanic to get the filter and plug off. Obviously Im not going back to these guys.

Buyer Beware! 4 months ago I took my car in for new brake pads that I didnt have time to change myself. I was told by the manager the rotors are worn down just underspect but I chose to do then myself later. Well yesterday I changed my rotors and this scam artist cut the old break pad wear indicator off and put them back on my car. They were paper thin and completely rusted. This is how cars end up under semis, Im not being hyperbolic to say he could of got me killed

Be careful of cramming charges, unnecessary recommended repairs, and extremely high and unethical pricing and business practices. My examples: I purchased tires at Monroe and went in for a simple rotation when I returned I was told I needed struts and was given a pre made estimate for $2,600 and in the same breath was offered their convenient payment plan. Instead I purchased OEM struts from O’Brien Toyota for $600 and had them installed by a professional mechanic for $200. The mechanic then told me he did not notice any difference in the ride quality, nor did I. Now I’m wondering if the leaky strut identified by Monroe on my wife’s 2015 van with only 50k was really leaky? (Also repaired for a fair price outside of Monroe). Lastly I had a tire warranty issue. I used 25% of the tread so understandably had to pay for 25% of the used warranty. Monroe charged me 25% of full blown retail pricing for the tires (not what I paid). In other words I nearly bought the tires a second time after paying retail. I will be returning for my free tire rotations but will never return as a paying customer.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This place robbed me blind. I went in after running diagnostics on my vehicle at the shop where I worked, knowing the issue was a seized caliper. I told them this over the phone before I made my appointment, the gentlemen on the phone told me oh it would be around 450,lets make an appointment. I immediately knew I was in a scam shop when I went in for brake work at the front of my vehicle and they had all 4 wheels off. Im then told oh theres this this and that wrong with your vehicle. The mechanic Bruce wanted me to replace my entire brake system for his commission. I told him I only wanted to fix what was making my car undriveable. He then got really short and uninterested. He then tried to make me apply for their credit card. After the credit card didnt pan out he tried to get me to let him only do rotors and pads on all my wheels and to leave frozen calipers on my vehicle. So he agreed to replace what i came in for but magically the price went up. Then I sit for 5 hours, only for the price to be almost 500 dollars before I left. Park the car at home. Fastfoward a week, I hadnt gone anywhere due to work (i have a seperate work vehicle) Im taking my wife to the movies and what do I smell? Hot brakes. Pretty interesting since i got new calipers and new brakes. I get home and 3 of my lug nuts fall off in the drive way. I have my mechanic friend from my work come by, we run the numbers on the caliper they are for a 2009 dodge durango... I drive a 2007 ford expedition. I called in, they refused to deal with me and told me some speal about how its my fault because I knew what was wrong with my vehicle before I took it in, and didnt have a diagnostic there. They refuse to give me my money back. This place robbed me of 500 dollars, my tire almost fell off, I have 3 small children absolutely unacceptable, and if I dont get refunded they will hear from my lawyer.

I lived in Virginia last year and had my annual inspection. They told me Id probably need front brake pads in a year but everything looked great.Fast forward to now. I take it into this place and they have a 650 dollar estimate for turning 3 rotors and replacing one because it is below specs. My brakes have not so much as squeeked, let alone grind or pull, or any other sympton of severe brake damage.Im waiting for their call now to go pick it up.I hope that their are new pads on it.

Scheduled an appointment online but didnt receive a confirmation email so I called multiple times to no answer. Showed up 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment in the middle of the day but the door was locked. Did this place suddenly close down?

Got vehicle fixed, and the employees were very friendly. Had to have a tire replaced and did not have to wait an extended period of time.

If you want your car in one piece when you pick it up...DONT GO TO THIS MONROE!I got my oil changed there in October and when I picked up my van, it was backed in in front of another car. My husband drove behind me and immediately noticed a massive dent in the back of my van. I took it back and told the manager, and he said that his employee wrote down that it was damaged when I dropped it off. However, it was not damaged when I dropped it off. I picked it up that way. His employee wrote this down after we left and did not do a walk around with us. We called Corporate and they sent a claim to their insurance company. Come to find out they wont pay for the damage to my van because its my word against theirs. Its obvious that when they backed my van into the bay, they hit the wall. Because Monros employee is lying, they will not fix my van. I highly reccommend that you get your oil changed somewhere else. This has been a nightmare for me. Now I am stuck driving around in a van that looks terrible because of these horrible dishonest people who wont own up to their responsibility.
