Ive recently been to every gun shop in the Grants Pass area and this is the best place to buy guns and ammo by a large margin. All the other gun stores are a joke in comparison...selection, prices and customer service. Save yourself some time and aggravation and start at The Armory.

I deleted my negative comment, and thank you for your response.I was more miffed at your dismissal of showing semi-autos. I am not sure what I want, because I trained in all. Im a 22 year Retired Marine M-16 expert, no scope. Im older, grayer, and more limited in my flexibility, but I can still handle the semi-auto.But as you said, ammo is scarce if not gone. So Ill do some online digging to see what I can find.Thank you.

Wow never have I ever experienced such amazing customer service, even in a time like this the inventory is not wiped out. If an apocalypse happens The armory in grants pass will be the first place I rob for supplies! Stop by with a friendly attitude and you will have the time of your life browsing the unique selection of firearms and speaking to the employees. Not to mention the owner is a total smoke show.

I came to The Armory on referral from a friend who said the customer service was outstanding. I had been worried about home invaders in my neighborhood because suspicion people continue to ring my doorbell during the day. When I came into the store I was greeted by the man I assume to be the owner/operator I told him about my issue and he suggested a handgun that was popular for home defense. I was unsure about having a handgun in my home because I have heard stories of handguns gaining sentience and attacking their owners. The man behind the counter assured me the pistol would not harm me as long as I didnt provoke it. With that out of the way I was still unsure of the stopping power for what was a small handgun. He told me he could prove it was effective, I wasnt sure at the time what he meant by this but I purchased the firearm. Later that night there was a crash in my kitchen, I pulled out my gun shaking with anxiety. I saw a figure standing there and I fired the gun. When I turned the lights on who do I see but the man who sold me the gun. He looks at me dead in the eyes and says see it has great stopping power He then preformed first aid on himself removing both bullets that had hit his chest. He was up and out of my home within 10 minutes and even sent a full cleaning service to take care of any mess he had caused. Such fantastic customer service deserves far more than 5 stars Id give the armory 10/5 stars if I could. I am no longer staying up at night worried about the Girl Scouts breaking into my home. Thank you Armory!!

I gotta say Im totally impressed with this place. I messaged them after hours on the weekend and they still got back to me right away. I was able to go in and get the exact gun I wanted without any bs. The guys were super cool in there and I can see this as being my go to shop from now on. They definately earned my business.

I went into The Armory searching for a weapon to carry as a deterrent for large grizzly bears, I was turned onto a large caliber handgun that the employee was confident would do the job. When the employee saw I was still unsure of the effectiveness he called in a helicopter flew me straight to the alaskan wilderness and drenched me in bear pheromones. Within a few minutes a large grizzly charged us, he fire the weapon into the grizzly bear and it stopped and fell like a sack of potatoes. When we returned to the shop I promptly purchased 4 of the weapons one for each of my hands. It was a few weeks later before I realized ashland home of the grizzlies was just the local high school mascot. Never the less I am glad I will be prepared for a grizzly attack in any circumstance.

It never fails. I go in the store looking for one product and Cory or Evan steer me in a much better direction. Today i had a rifle scope mount in mind that would have cost me $80 on Amazon. Evan showed me a different brand, better quality, and the cost was $21 cheaper! Local, knowledgeable, and fair prices.

I always use these guys and they have always done right by me. They stay up to date as best they can via FB and IG and are extremely personable! By far my favorite shop in town.

Best customer service of any gun store (or any retail store really) I’ve been to...purchased a customized competition shotgun (modifications made by a member of the local 3 gun club known to Cory, the shop owner). Pricing on the shotgun was exactly what the cost of purchasing the gun new and the parts kit for the modifications would be and it was already built with MOA precision logo on the receiver. Went directly to the range and sadly it malfunctioned repeatedly. When I called Cory he went beyond expectation to make it right even taking time the next morning to meet at the range. Even after trying different ammo and getting it running he offered to refund my money if I still wasn’t happy. Who does that? 😁

First time gun buyer. The guy was rude at the counter and gave me a hard time with how long it took me to fill out the paperwork. New gun buyers go somewhere else.

Have to agree with everyone who says Corey and Evan are outstanding and knowledgeable. They built a specific AR for me, and being a high caliber it had some difficulties. They stood by the work and products 100% and did all the modifications to make it right without question or cost to me. I have been impressed with them each time I go in their shop, which is a regular stop now when I go to Grants Pass.Thanks guys, have to say its always fun going to your shop.

Great staff with a great selection of products. They have an ever growing selection and great prices. If they dont have it in stock they can get it. Ive bought a handgun here, a 9mm AR all the parts for my first AR build and a bunch gear and ammo. Corey and Evan have helped me every step of the way through my first build, super helpful and knowledgable. This is the only place for me to get gear.

I mistakenly stopped in on a Monday during my road trip up north without realizing they were closed on Mondays. I was badly in need of an IWB holster, which upon calling and telling the owner this, opened up his shop so I could purchase one quickly even though they were closed.I will be a returning customer for years to come. I bought Sasquatch Firearms coffee and Black Rifle coffee both in medium roast. My wife and i did a blind side by side taste test. We both came to the same immediate conclusion. It is an insult to Sasquatch Firearms Co. to compare the two. Black Rifle coffee is undrinkable next to Sasquatch Firearms Coffee. Dont follow the hype, support local. Friends dont let friends drink bad coffee.

Corys is a great guy whom gives excellent advice. The knowledge Cory gives is good. I personally go there for all needs if they dont have it in stock; they get it to me soon as possible. Best shop in Southern Oregon . UPDATED POSTEvan and Cory went above and beyond for me. A recent build I did had some major issues they closed at 4pm on saturday and stayed to 6pm helping resolve my issues. That kind of service doesnt simply exist anymore. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Often I wonder how Gun stores survive in this day and age... these guys have the right attitude so far. Still new but I hope as time goes they can build a little inventory because they carry the stuff you want to buy. Happy to order the suppressor I was looking for the same price I could get it on the internet before shipping. When they couldnt find the gun I was looking for they told me to get it on the internet and they would be happy to do the transfer. Best gun store in the area by far

Brought my 444 marlin to get the front site repaired. They said there were six holes in the barrel. The gunsmith must have done it. Terrible experience. I will never do any business with them again. And would not recomend them at all.

Stopped in to the armory this afternoon for some ammo. Let me start by I did some shopping online like most people. Found a couple great deals from this webs called ammo ammoseek. Would have made it real easy to buy some ammo. I figured I should do the right thing and talk to my local supplier to see if they had what I wanted. I have gone through this before like most of us have with firearm shops. I got the usual, we dont have that but we can put in an order. I said I could do the same thing. Thought we could make some deal. I was thinking if we mad a deal they would pick up a full-time customer. The fella, who I assume is the owner/operator. His to tname Proceededmatched akethe name on a business card on the counter. 25 minutes to look up the 500 rounds of pmc 62g lap and 1000 rounds of agulia ss 40g that I was looking for. Which shoots amazingly out of my barrel. The fella came up with $225.00 as the total for his cost. I offered the guy another 25 dollars on top of it for his 25 minutes to find it. Again thinking I would become more of a regular customer. The fella at the counter behind the computer working so hard on finding me ammo took a demeanor that wasnt so helpful. And I told him so in the fashion of you dont seem to excited to help me. Which I got a prompt its like the grocery store. You cant make a deal on produce when you shop for food. Which I proceeded to stick my hand out for a hand shake and thanked him for his time. To top the whole thing off. The fella left me hanging, didnt even make eye contact and said no. Which I turned and left the store. So now I sit here thinking this fella for lack of a better word had a chance to convert me, but not just me, if he had a better attitude could have made his business better one customer at a time. Meanwhile having this deal with me in front of his employees. If I was one of his employees I would be worried about my current employment at this business after this. Would make me seek alternative things. As a customer I will seek alternative options. Looking for a good local shop willing to help out here. Any help is appreciated!

I went into THE ARMORY needing 2 gas tube pins. Which they had, so I decided to buy 6 just so I would have spares. I was thinking it was gonna be a couple bucks at the very most. I was completely blown away when I was told the pins were $4 each. I actually thought the guy was joking. He then suggested I go online and pay that price plus the shipping cost if I wanted. I explained I wasnt blaming him, and that I was just blown away because I was thinking they would only be a few cents. (These are extremely small pins. Less then toothpick size diameter and only an 1/8 long) The guy then said, These pins are specifically made for guns and thats why the high price. (Which I knew was B.S) So, I just bought the 2 needed pins and left. On my way home I stopped by FASTENAl in the slight chance they had something I could make work for next time. I bought a bag of 100ct so called SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR GUN PINS for $2! Thats 100 pins for two bucks! Also, just out of curiosity I checked some online gun stores later as he suggested and found several 50ct bags for $4.99 plus shipping of course, but still. Im all for supporting local businesses, but seriously? This time was only for gas tube pins. The next time could have been a scope, an upper, a lower, maybe even a gun or two.After all, Im buying guns somewhere! Really is a shame, because they do have a nice selection and a good looking store. If you pay that much for these pins, I will make you a great deal on the 94 remaining pins. How does $2 a pin sound?
