Recently found they have effective weed killer, Ace brand just mix with water. Not as expensive as Roundup but does good job. Good service from staff.

I needed a paint sample. I ended up with two. When a color I wanted to sample was not available in a sample size he ( I didnt catch his name) suggested I get it in Benjamin Moore. The computer was down. I left my name & number. A few minutes down the road he called. I came back & was greeted, again, & my sample was at register, waiting on me. He even used my name to thank me on the way out! Love the service!

Very nice associates and knowledgeable aswell. Needed a few things and walked out with a chainsaw purchase. Staff member that helped me with purchase explained a ton to me about my new chainsaw. Let me ask numerous questions and answered all of them with acceptable or educated answers.

Terrible for online pick up in store orders.They dont keep track of their inventory so when I purchased a lawn mower they showed in stock and went to pick it up they didnt actually have one in stock... Now I have to go through a whole process to get refunded. Time wasted, money in limbo, management didnt care even a little and treated me like it was my fault for buying the mower online instead of checking that their store really had it. Dont buy anything online from them. Ill never buy anything from this Ace Hardware store ever again.

Great store. Very Polite and courteous costumer service. Mark was very Polite when I called in concerning my stihl weed eater. He told me to bring it in, so I was expecting to talk to him but talked John Rassy instead. John Rassy is Awesome. When I told him what was wrong with my weed eater He proceeded to tell me hes been dealing with stihl for 45 years. Of course Im already frustrated so at first I thought he wasnt hearing me. But when it was all over John did what he knew how to do and thats fix my weed eater. I hope he see this post, or someone there at the store. I have always been a loyal Kablins customer. Partly because I only live a couple miles away and have normally received friendly service.They have only a few subject matter knowledgeable clerks and are regularly called to help with question.Today was different. I walked in and didn’t see anyone but I knew the general area for my search. Was wanting to verify the thread size on a bolt. There was a younger man sitting in the key area. Maybe one other customer in the store. I asked for the screw gage location and he half heartedly pointed down the isle. I looked for a min and asked again. He kind of glanced up and directed me left and right until I found it. Once my thread size was determined I asked if Ace sold casters. This was his response... “NO ONE HERE TONIGHT WOULD KNOW AS WE ARE ALL HIGH SCHOOL KIDS”. And continued to just sit there. I suggested that if he helped me find them then he would know the next time a customer asked. Didn’t even raise his head.Well I found them, made my selection and moved to the cash register. Of course the price didn’t match and was instructed to retrieve the price tag for the cashier. Of course it was the sticky type but noticed none other like this in that bin. Found an alternative choice and returned to the register.Four clerks were seen. Two were of little help. The other two were hanging out in the grill area talking the whole time I was there.Ended up paying twice the online price.Will really need to consider how badly I need something before shopping here again.

Misleading the public with a lie written an a board on sidewalk. Sign says the LAW requires people to wear a mask..that is FALSE. It is NOT a LAW! It is simply a guidline and recommended. NO law has been passed in this country for that. Any executive orders on that are being ruled unconstituitional by supreme courts across the nation making them null and void. Lawsuits are popping up over that false claim.

Everyone used to be extremely knowledgeable however over the last few years hiring has been geared to part time employees rather than experience.I usually have to wait for the let me get someone else for you person. @ Weeks later- My following trip in I was helped immediately with proper knowledge for my need.

Penske rental truck was not at the store on time. It was supposed to be there at 9am and did not arrive until 12pm. The employee that was helping us out was not very friendly. Would DEFINITELY use someone else when renting a Penske truck.

So nobody wearing masks. Tried curbside pickup thought it would be smooth like Sherman Williams who is doing an amazing job of keeping everyone safe but it was not. Jared comes out no mask no order materials to ask what was your order? He wears a pin with 6 social distancing but clearly has no concept of it. Previous to that I had provided them all the order details and had received an email saying its ready for pickup. Asked to speak to the manager after waiting for 20 minutes and she said the supervisor is her and Jared. She promised they will have it ready tommorow. Wish they would wear masks like the responsiblw folks at home depot

So apparently its ok to refuse service to a person with a medical condition with a doctors note. Its also not a law! Will no longer be shopping or supporting a buisness that wont support the ADA. Will be contacting the ADA about this! Next it will be refusing service if you dont get the vaccine!

Convenient location, but twice in two weeks Ive stood at the Stihl display waiting for help and nobody offers, although four young staff members stand around looking at me. Ill spend my money at Riggs just to get some decent customer service.

I have had many issues dealing with Angie both of my encounters with her have left a bad taste in my mouth. She has an aggressive demeanor and I get the sense that I am bothering her when speaking with her. I have always felt this store had great customer service and I am disappointed that my past 2 visits have been ones that have me leaving upset.

I dont understand why someone would put a revue on Doug like the one on here. I have bought things from him for years and he is the most intelligent hardware person I have ever known. Good inventory and a great asset to Granger; one I would dearly miss. Pricing of many items are identical and sometimes lower than big box retailers. I noticed someone gave 2-star based on employee wages and benefits. IMO this is unfair and the review most likely relates to the author. A jobless person might appreciate the job. It cannot be easy for small, limited selection, stores to compete and employees are free to stay or go elsewhere.

I am amazed that whenever I seem to need a special size screw, bolt, or practically anything, these guys seem to have it. They do a great job of hiring people who are knowledgeable, without being insulting to you if YOU dont know. Their prices are a bit higher than big box stores, but then again I dont have to buy a package of 30 screws if I only needed 3.My daughter will always go with me to eat their free popcorn. :)

This store is good for quick erands or if you need some advice. In exchange for slightly higher prices you get excellent service.

We came to get Orange Blossom-Honey Serious Hand Repair Cream with ceramide 3 cause it works well on our windburned rough hands. Its Fall leaf clean-up season for us landscapers. So we use this stuff to keep our hands human.

I brought in a knife I bought from a garage sale to be sharpened. I have had butterknives sharper than what I originally brought in. Kyle (didnt get his last name) sharpened it to a point where it could actually cut things, but it dod not reach his level of sharpening so he let me go free of charge. Kyle truly has a sense of honor in what he does and it was great to see someone who cared about his job and the results. Thank you Kyle!

I stopped in tonight and was blown away by the excellent level of customer service offered. Selection was good and the staff was eager to help. Prices were reasonable for a hardware store and I was able to get everything I needed and nothing I didnt (they gladly offered to cut a short section of pipe rather than making me buy a larger section and cut it myself). Its a bit of a drive from where I live on the east side of South Bend, but I will gladly make the return trip when I need hardware, plumbing supplies, etc.Id write more but theres a project awaiting completion in my basement!

Got there 3 minutes before 6pm on Saturday not knowing when they closed for the day and as I walk up to the door, a young man locks the door and laughs with another employee at the register. So rude and unprofessional and they were still open but obviously didnt want my business. Well, they shall not have it!
