The owner Darin has some amazing classics and luxury BMWs that are absolutely beautiful I am purchasing a Corvette from him as well

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Charges way too much for things if he thinks your have more dollars than sense! Spent nearly a grand there mostly on a leaking trans. Leak stopped for a week (more to follow below). In the mean time, I talked to the owner about another classic I had that needed a full brake job. He offered to tow it the 1.8 miles from my house for an estimate. He made no mention of a cost if I did not end up having the work done by them. When the estimate came back for this car, it was 3-5x what it should have been. I explained I wasnt willing to spend $2,500 for a back to stock setup, and up to $5,500 for a dual master cylinder and a booster kit. Cant imagine what he would have charged for a disc brake conversion! By the way, I found another place who did front disc, rear drums, new lines all around for $2,200 total. In explaining the estimate, he claimed to need 19 hours to bend and fit brake lines, and I then knew things were not right at this place. I never said anything negative, except for thinking the estimate was too high, and that I would get it home on my own and have someone else look at it. The owner first said, FINE, then take it and he started to walk away. He then suddenly turned around and got HOT with me. He demanded payment for the tow job and time to do the estimate research. It is my opinion that if they think you dont know better, or if they think you have plenty of money and dont mind wasting it, the estimate will reflect. They said they need to estimate high to avoid telling you later when something unexpected happens, and I get that to a degree. However, Ive had more old cars than I can remember over a 30 year period, and no one ever gave quotes as high as this place. A few days later, the trans leak returned on the first car, (which was the bulk of the charge the first time around). I tried to get them to honor their work and fix the leak. They did take a second look at it and said it was coming from the speedo input (which they said they tightened up the first time around). But, they did not offer to try again to fix it. They just said, they were done working on it, and I could come to come get it. They could have offered to put a new cable in for free if I bought the new cable. But basically they were saying, they wont fix it without more money being spent. Thought that was what the high estimates were for in the first place. ?? Anyway, I wont be back and recommend you avoid this place as well.
