Update. September 2021- Super thankful for good coffee in this area. Review set to 5 stars after multiple visits, great service and great coffee! Lovely place for sure.-Pandemic Period-This place is open! Idk how, but everywhere else is shut down. Happy to be able to come inside, order a coffee and not feel like people were waiting to try and kick me out. Its a reassuring feeling. Now, the pastry items are standard: coffee shop expensive... The coffee was just okay. No more filters to make a pour over, which seems like poor planning to me. The service was kind and the place was full with people enjoying their lives freely, kind of as is should be in life.

It was busy on a Sunday and a table was hard to find -but there was plenty of parking. Great tea selections -and a great place to study (lots of students around). Gorgeous/clean environment and friendly staff. I’ll def be back to try more drinks!

Lovely time at Wildroast today. The cappuccino was wonderful and the cupcake was great. Most importantly, the service was friendly! The shop was clean and there was adequate spacing throughout to make me feel more than comfortable coming here during a pandemic. Thanks for giving me a place to study, Wildroast - you saved my final grade!

Overall, great coffee. Friendly service. However, there were many customers who came in to order and dine-in who weren’t wearing masks, nor were they being enforced to. In the whole establishment, there’s only one TINY sticker detail in the shape of a face mask. No signs, no indication that we are currently in a global pandemic from a virus that has killed and is killing millions of people. Pretty ignorant. I won’t be returning, but I do hope that the owners and staff become more diligent and better-educated.Money will never be worth more than the lives of our family, friends and community members.EDIT: 3/34/21 I have contacted the county health department, so hopeful the business and the health department will be able to work together to create a safe environment.

Ive been a few times now, and I love it. Super coffee. Staff is friendly and helpful. They explained to me all the syrups they hand-make. The shop is lovely, and it seems like theyre involved in the community under normal circumstances (not covid).

Probably my new favorite coffee shop... so cozy and quiet! Perfect place to just read a book or study. Just a little busy on weekends, almost didn’t get a chance to get a table but that only means it is a good coffee shop. Will definitely be back here!

Even though I live in Grandville, I hadnt knew of this coffee shop and decided to try it out today. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the employees there. Went and got a Hot Chocolate just to try it out and it tasted great with a nice heart in the foam. Will for sure be back for a nice place to work on things on my laptop while enjoying a drink.

Wildroast is hands down my favorite coffee shop in West Michigan (and Ive been to almost all of them). I have been there half a dozen times and will go back there every chance I can get. The staff are extremely kind, the coffee is drop-dead amazing, and the aesthetic is adorable. This is a must go for any coffee lover to try.

Sadly, the regular coffee I just picked up this morning was terrible. I had to dump it out.... I wish I could support this place locally.... But wow nasty 🤪 coffee. It was fresh brewed but still tasted days old and bitter.

The best around! Every time I come to the West side of the state I have to stop in and support this coffee shop! They are always so kind. I support their decision to be open and let adults make their own decisions regarding their own health and safety!Even though curbside isn’t really their main service anymore, they still brought out my coffee to my car so I didn’t have to take my crying 16 month old out of his car seat for just 5 minutes. This is a service I would continue to use when I have my son with me instead of going to Starbucks. Great coffee and baked goods as well!

I just moved to the Grand Rapids area. I live in Wyoming right now. So this is one of my favorite spots because its close... Grandville, I believe. I do a lot of these so I forget. But its space currently my favorite locally owned coffee shop. Its a good size and has great decor and staff, along with some of the friendliest locals/regulars!

Always like to try local coffee shops when traveling. Great coffee and very friendly staff. All staff had masks on and those customers ordering did as well. Patrons at tables did not, but then how could they enjoy their coffee if they did. Tables were spaced and there are three large areas to sit if one desired. Pastries were all very tempting, but the chai donut won out. Happily give them business over the large chains.

I support local businesses; especially places that remained open during this mess. The staff is very friendly, patient and always have smiling faces. Family atmosphere

The only thing that would make this place perfect would be more flavor add-ins. LOVE the atmosphere and the different rooms to utilize. Excellent for meeting up for business needs and perfect for just enjoying a coffee alone too. Very versatile and cozy. Bathrooms are chic and clean too, which is a bonus.

My opinions of Wildroast Coffee Co. have changed dramatically since hearing of their lack of respect for COVID-19 restrictions during critical seasons of the pandemic. No business operation is more important than the safety of others. I will not come here anymore for drinks or meetings.

This coffee house is excellent. I have to order very low carb and the sugar free vanilla breve latte was a real treat. The barristas were friendly and engaging. Also, the atmosphere is second to none. It reminds me of what coffee shops used to be and should be. A place to enjoy a great coffee and hopefully even better conversation. I highly recommend this place.

Overall, Wildroast used to be a respected establishment. When they first opened, I tried most of their menu and chatted up their baristas. I would study here. However, management has completely bungled it up, specifically with COVID. The are virulently anti-mask, and are actively encouraging it as a spot to eat and drink openly flouting their disdain for mask policies.This is dangerous for our community, and is deeply rooted in hostile politics, anti-science rhetoric, and a complete and total contempt for community health.I get that this is difficult times for food service. I respect differing opinions on how it should be handled or what level of autonomy restaurants can have during this time. What I dont respect is willful and arrogant flouting of the orders because it appeals to a certain demographic and helps your short-term sales. It will kill this business long term. I will never patron this establishment again, and will never recommend it to anyone in the future.Its a real shame.

Definitely worth a stop.The honey lavender latte is so good I scraped the honey from the bottom of the cup. Nice vibe. Avocado toast is average ( I’m a connoisseur) perhaps...add some cilantro, oil or a better hot sauce. With the amazing variety of spice this life has to offer ~ variations are also welcome!Nice ppl happy place

My first time at Wildroast, I was floored with how cute the place was. It is the most tastefully decorated coffee shop Ive been to, and there are a lot of little nooks and side rooms so you can separate from everyone else easily if you want to keep to your little group or to yourself. Ive always had entire conversations with the baristas while they were making my drink - everyone is super friendly and easy to talk to!

This is my second visit here coming to study with a friend. The drinks by themselves are wonderful. They dont seem rushed or poorly done. The baristas definitely know what theyre doing. The setup of the cafe is also very homey and comfortable. Its super easy to work in and not feel like youre too close to anyone else. What made me feel like writing this review is one of the female baristas. I didnt see her name, so I am sorry, but she was beyond a great person if this was her. My friends entire bank went down while she was about to pay and couldnt get her drink. When I went to pick mine up she gave me what she was going to order anyway. Your simple gesture made her incredibly happy and appreciative. Thank you.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops around. The workers are very friendly, the coffee is fantastic and its the perfect spot to do computer work or to grab coffee with friends. 100% recommend!

Great experience great coffee. They have seasonal drinks and pour overs. Plenty of seating options. The staff was super friendly. They also have pastries if you need a light breakfast/brunch. I would recommend and would love to come back whenever I am in town.

If you care about keeping yourself and your community safe, do not come to Wildroast. I stopped in last week and every single seat in the cafe was full, more full than before the pandemic started. This place was packed, with no social distancing and not a mask in sight on any customers (seating or roaming). There were tables that werent more than a foot apart. Those who choose to patronize this business are choosing to put anyone they come in contact with at risk.Please be safe everyone, and remember we are still in the midst of a pandemic. While I liked coming here prior to the pandemic, I will not be returning. The drive downtown to coffee shops following proper protocol and not showing a selfish disregard to their community will be worth it.

The Wild Roast coffee house is incredible. It reminds me of the coffee shops we have in Denver and the ones I visited in Chicago. Amazing coffee. I highly recommend the Cafe Mocha which is mellow and smooth. I cant speak to the other offerings though. They also have a great selection of pastries. The ham and cheese is delicious and flaky and the cheese danish is very tasty. 5 out of 5, would go again.

This is a great coffee shop just outside Grand Rapids. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable, and the coffee menu doesnt disappoint. I also appreciate how big this space is, allowing for plenty of patrons without anyone feeling squeezed in. I like the layout of the space and the styling of the front lounge area and nook just off the coffee bar. Its comfortable and perfect for a coffee date or working remote.

Wildroast is a beautiful space that promotes and allows community. They have phenomenal service that matches the drinks that they serve. You MUST make time to enjoy this place.

Disgusted by the clear lack of concern over Covid restrictions at this shop. No masks, tables are not separated whatsoever, and the seats are packed. If they cant even abide by the simplest of Covid guidelines, I cant imagine what other health code violations are happening here. This coffee shop was a glimmer of hope in a suburb. A hopeful opportunity for a caring community space focused around coffee outside of downtown, but they clearly do not care for their community and are strictly concerned with the bottom line. I will never purchase coffee here again.

This place is legend, and is where the parties at. My spirits and mentality are uplifted while I enjoy my time here. Dont listen to the bad reviews that say they dont care about public health. Everyone cares about public health, its just that some are smarter then others.

Even before the restrictions I’ve been to coffee shops that are responsible enough to not let people sit down and congregate. Wildroast after the restrictions has completely disregarded this and chosen to let people sit down *without masks*, not implement an occupancy or separate people by 6ft. The staff was nice enough, but nice doesn’t really qualify ignorance.Also the coffee was tasteless.

Best coffee shop around - I was so happy to see this gem open downtown Grandville 2 years ago! Amazing atmosphere, great design touches, music, and most importantly - delicious coffee.

I was looking forward to going here but very disappointed at that masks were not enforced. I saw 4 customers walk in and order without masks, nothing was said to them by the workers. Tables were not 6 feet apart and I saw no effort to sanitize them after customers left. I quickly got my coffee and left. Please make the effort to keep your customers and staff safe and healthy.

Went to Wildroast on opening night and waited about half an hour due to the high volume. It was more than worth it! The macchiato tasted great, and l loved how it was paired with carbonated water. Baristas were helpful and even with the high volume of orders, they made the drinks well and kept the names and orders right! Ive been waiting for the shop to open for months as there isnt a good coffee shop in the area (other than downtown GR). Wildroast met all of my expectations and more (love the rooms!). Will definitely be back.

They were absolutely NOT following COVID-19 safety precautions. I went on a Saturday morning and they were over normal operating capacity. All the tables were extremely close to each other and since they were all sitting, no one had their masks on. When I called the manager about it all he said is “thank you for your concern.” If you care about not passing along this disease, DONT go here. And honestly, don’t go after we’re safe if they were willing to risk everyone’s health in there. So disgusted. We’re in a deadly pandemic y’all. Be smart.

I entered here recently thinking it would just be a quick in-and-out grab a coffee experience and found it packed with people. My reaction was to assume that I had somehow missed an update on the no dine-in order. I wish that I had pulled my phone out right then to check because it bothers me to no end that I supported a business that doesn’t value public health. So many other businesses are suffering because behavior like this is dragging out the need for restrictions. They deserve support. Try: Outdoor Coffee Company, which despite being an outdoor dining venue has closed at times out of precaution, Squibb, Rowster Coffee, or Lantern Coffee. Never again.

Terrible. The only good thing I can say about this place is that its decorated nicely. For a third wave coffee place thats supposed to have good coffee, it tastes like its always burnt. Ive had fantastic, delicious juicy pour overs before, and this place must do something wrong or maybe the coffee they use just isnt good and Ive always been disappointed when I get coffee here. Its just not good.On top of that, while other restaurants and coffee shops in the area have been extraordinarily careful and following covid rules (and sacrificing cash flow for the sake of public health), Wildroast has blatantly disregarded this. Besides a mask or two, the entire place was full of chairs like before the pandemic and is full of people not wearing masks even though theres supposed to be no indoor dining. This has been the case through the entire pandemic from what Ive seen when I walk by. But hey, spreading covid in our community is worth it if you can make a few extra bucks. This place should be fined - but Im sure it helps having your folks in local conservative politics. Even though this place is a stones throw from my house, I will never spend another cent with this corrupted, selfish company.

I really enjoy the front area of Wildroast— it has plenty of natural light. The back isn’t as well lit, but it’s comfortable (despite being a bit tight). There’s a cute little cove with couches, but only a couple people may have the pleasure of sitting there. The bathrooms are very nice and clean, and I have onlyhad great experiences with the baristas. Great place to meet with a friend or get some work done!

The coffee is good, but there are a lot of good coffee shops in West Michigan who also care about the health and safety of the public.I walked into this place and was astounded at (1) how incredibly packed it was (were talking pre-pandemic level packed) and (2) not a SINGLE person was wearing a mask. This is clearly the hotspot for COVID deniers to gather for their cup-of-joe and conspiracy theory discussion.Ill gladly grab my cup from a place that cares about frontline workers and the health of our community - plenty of options!
