Had them work on my boat motor it ran so much worse wouldnt hardly run at all and they charged me $600 + took it back to them they told me nothing was wrong with it and charged me for checking it out. went to the lake it wouldnt stay running. So went to another shop cost me $300.00 + to get it fixed I wouldnt recommend them to anybody dont waste your money

While some of their procedures could better serve the costumer, I feel that they are way more transparent in their types of service and pricing than their competitors. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly.

We looked for trailers in Indiana and Michigan and found Grand Valley Marine having the best price and Greg was a great help in making our decision. My wife surprised me with a brand new Mirrocraft Fishing boat decked out with a foot pedal controlled trolling motor, live well, seats, and cover from these folks. She asked them to have it ready by memorial day so that we could take it on our weekend trip. They stepped up and got it ready. However, when we put it in the lake, the trim and tilt switch on the throttle handle did not work, the live well would not stay working, and the trailer squeaked like it was from 1967. I was not overly impressed but nothing we could do about it so we didnt let it ruin our weekend. The Tuesday morning after Memorial day I brought the boat back and told them my list of concerns. Not only did they step up and offered to take care of it no questions asked, but they had it fixed and back in my hands by the end of the business day.The measure of a good business is not whether bad things happen because they will. Its how they step up and handle things when they do. The guys at Grand Valley Marine care about their customers and do whatever they can to take care of them. Keep up the good work!!

I experienced great service for winterizing my Bryant 214, very quick service, and a friendly staff. The price was right, complete with warrantied work. No problems at all. Theyve been informative and help me with preventative maintenance to keep me on the water.

I brought our boat is to get the stern drive fixed. $800 parts and labor. They put a used upper stern drive on it and it went out in less then 3 months only two times going on the water. And now they say it needs to be replaced again, $1300 for new aftermarket upper. What a joke. They are very rude and take forever to even look at something.

This has been my first time purchasing a boat and I could not be more pleased with the product and service. We purchased a 1995 Sea Ray that I found posted on Craigslist. My whole experience through this process of being a first time buyer has been great. Ive dealt with both Paul and Cj and they were very knowledge and helpful throughout the sale. When we bought the boat, we agreed on a sea test and this was a great idea. On our sea test, Cj basically took us through the ropes on how to run the boat, start the boat and operate the boat. He was kind enough to answer all of our questions/concerns. There was an issue that needed some adjusting and he allowed us to bring the boat back the next day so his mechanic could check it out and he took care of the issue. I later noticed a crack in one of the taillights on the trailer that caused me to blow a fuse the day before. I asked Cj if I could purchase a light or replacement and to my surprise, he got his tools and fixed and replaced the light at no charge. As you can imagine, this was a huge surprise and it was great to receive such service. You do not get this kind of service from a car dealership or any other place you buy something for, here they seem to care about their reputation and do a great job at it. Overall, my experience deserves a 5 star for the above and beyond service and really taking care of the customer. We are pleased with our boat and will continue with Grand Valley Marines Service!

Stay away from Grand Valley Marine. Thats what I read from a lot of reviews. Now I know why. I ordered a part for my boat, paid more than I should because they were close by, and ended up not needing it. Completely my fault. So I thought I will just return it. Restocking fee? Ok I get it. Store credit? Not ideal but they have a business to run. Nope, they wont take it back at all. I called Mercruiser (after all they are a dealer). They were shocked that they would not at least return with a restocking fee. Mercruiser agreed to take it back from the store but they still refused. Obviously I would drive a hundred miles out of my way to not buy a thing form them again.Their solution was sell it on craigslist. Thanks for nothing GVM

Avoid at all costs, sold me a boat that sunk only after 2 minutes on the water and refused to do anything about it. do your research about these guys if you are smart.

Ive been intending to write a review, but Ive simply forgot up until now. I think its very unfortunate that people that typically write a review do so because theyve had a bad experience and theyre disappointed that a company didnt bend over for them because something went wrong. Ive been incredibly happy with GVM from the beginning. I was treated fairly and professionally, when I purchased my used boat and I feel like I got a good deal. They were more than happy to take me out on the boat before I made a decision, at which point the salesman noticed a noise that the boat was making. He was upfront and said it sounded like the gimbal bearing was going bad (something apparently common in inboard-outboards). GVM repaired the boat free of charge. I was very impressed. Today I went in to simply see if they would test my anchor light, which wasnt working on my boat. I didnt know if it was an issue with my boat or the light, so I wanted to narrow down the problem. Not only did they fix the light, free of charge, but they cleaned the chrome which had weathered. I have and will continue to recommend GVM to friends and family. Thanks!
