I just bought my Mazda last Friday and its great! The staff was wonderful. Shelby Salamone took great care of me and made the entire process incredibly easy (so easy I got the entire thing done on my lunch break.)Nico was also great and super helpful. Incredible buying experience. Although it was my daughter’s first time buying a car, Nico and Matthew were able to make this process easy and comfortable for her. She is loving her new car and has already been driving around in it! After my wife took it for a drive, she now wants a Mazda too! I can’t blame her! We will 100% be buying from here again! This review is long overdue, but well deserved.Nico Mitchell-Garcia and Shelby Salamone contributed the most pleasant car buying experience EVA! The genuineness and authenticity of the these two were incredible. From the way I was looked at upon entering their doors and the warmth and sincerity of the interactions... it was WOW!To be honest, Nico is a finance manager and Ive never experienced a person in his role that has been so hands-on to ensure that clients were left happy and satisfied.I actually contacted 4-5 dealerships from Grand Rapids to Lansing to price shop before evening going in. The price was very competitive and the client service was top-notch.During my purchase, there was an issue with an outside stain-proofing vendor leaving spots all over the interior. Although it was no fault of their own, Nico and Shelby made sure that it was corrected immediately. I truly felt heard, respected, and cared for as the outside vendor corrected their error.Overall, the experience was great! I highly recommend these two and Fox Mazda for your car buying needs!

Sopha in the Service Department was polite and prompt with getting me my estimate to repair my 13 Mazda3. He quoted me on 4 new tires, lower ball joint, a 4 wheel alignment, and brakes/rotors. They fixed everything and the car rides great again! He offered me a car to drive while they were doing my NEEDED repairs. Great customer service with a smile....Ill be back!!!

I would like to know if Mazda has someone responding to emails?. My hubby had sent an email a week ago abt a used car that we bought and we are unable to start the car as we believe that there is some issues with the key . it is for a 2011 Mazda 3s grand touring . we are still waiting for a reply from Mazda if they could help with this issue .Update 08/19: we at the end called them n got the issue fixed . Im changing my review n number of stars . They hv fixed the problem n the car runs perfectly fine .the service personnel was beyond great. Tq.

Walked in with my heart set on an suv in a certain price range, with a certain amount of mileage. Had my eye on a few and Keith Rock helped me find one that I hadn’t even seen but I fell in love with the second I sat in the steering wheel. He walked me through every step of the process and was so nice!! Would give him 10/5 stars if I could! Recommending everyone to this location and to work with Keith!!

The service department at Fox Mazda, especially the manager, Sopha, went over and beyond any service Ive ever received on a vehicle! We purchased a certified used Mazda CX-5 from a dealership in Illinois and immediately had issues with the brakes and rotors; we were told to go to the local shop for evaluation so we went to Fox. They immediately diagnosed the issues, put me in a new rental car and resolved the issues that same day! Their service, dedication, communication and professionalism were outstanding. It made me wish I hadnt purchased out of state and rather had purchased from the Fox Mazda. Our family wont hesitate to return to this service department for all of our future needs.

Everyone I interacted with was extremely nice and very low pressure. Shelby let me test drive for as long as I wanted. She encouraged me to take my time and think about it with zero pressure to make a decision that day.The GM Brad was also a pleasure to work with, he explained all of the warranty info very thoroughly which helped make my decision easy.I would definitely recommend doing business with them in the future.

I used to trust Fox so much. We would bring our car in for any service before. This time when I need a new battery, I went to Fox as well. My car was in great condition until the new battery was installed. It started to stall which never happened before. I took the car back and explained the situation. Instead of checking if the installation process was done properly, he check the battery and told me the battery was in good condition. I kept asking them to see if the installation was correct, but no one would care. My car stalled in the middle of the road that could cause a serious accident. I wanted to talk to the manager, but I was told manager was not there. I then took the car to a friend of mine to get help. We found the problem right away---one side of the battery connector was not screwed on, it was just touch the top of the screw and was easily pulled off by hand...This for sure can cause stalling when during the drive if the battery disconnected...We installed the battery properly and the problem never happened again. Installing battery was such an easy job, Fox Mazda can screw up on this and risked my life. I dont have any reason to trust Fox Mazda again.

The sales department here was great. They listened to what I wanted and got me into my choice of a new car at a good price. They even took my trade in even though someone had side swiped me. However, when I called the repair shop they were not as helpful. They got me in quickly, but my intermittent problem with my transmission didnt get resolved. I think they test drove it briefly but didnt get it on the highway where I was having the issue. The car sometimes wouldnt go into higher gear when merging onto the highway. They never did find what was wrong after a couple visits, and told me thats just how the car handles. Ive been driving for 35 years, I think I know how a car should up shift. They dismissed me rather quickly though.

The sales team of Megan, Deb, and Bryan were able to answer any and all questions I had about purchasing and/or leasing my vehicle, and were able to get me a great deal that I just couldn’t say no to. Matt from accounting helped me get answers to any financial related questions as well. They really cared that I got a vehicle that I felt would be safe, reliable, and a great fit for me. Recently purchased a CX5 from Megan. She was amazing. She gets 5 stars. I gave only 4 stars overall because we had an appointment with Sam. We drove from Kalamazoo and when we got there Sam had left. Horrible experience. Took appointment for test drive, once there the gentleman says they dont have the trim I booked the test drive for anymore (I confirmed over the phone, and traveled far to their location after that, but that doesnt matter to them at all). There should be option for zero star. They dont know what theyve in their inventory. Great at wasting customers time. Very bad attitude towards customer and no courtesy at all.In fact they dont care.Good luck for coming years! With this kinda attitude towards customers. PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS PARTICULAR LOCATION. CHOOSE WISELY.Glad this happened before buying a car from them.

Have had been here twice for repairs on my 2015 ford focus. One for a recall which they handled and did great especially Sid!! My second one was a mirror replacement after a tree fell and hit it and a oil change. They did a amazing job with the fix. The price was slightly high even with sid helping everyway he could which I do believe he did. The only complaint I have is the high mark up on parts. I spent 360 on the mirror alone and searched the product by its ID number and found many new parts ( clearly dont want used) for cheaper. Around 250-320 for most expensive so clearly the mark up there is pretty high. But out of sids control and out of the shops control more of a fox Mazda problem that could and should be fixed or adjusted. Now I will say I believe you get what you pay for. I have had shops charge me and something happens later. That hasnt happen here. Mirror is brand new lights all work on it and my car hasnt had any issues after the recall months ago. In the end the between knowing the job is done right and having awesome guys like Sid to help you out def. Makes this one of the best service shops for Ford vehicles.

:EDIT: After posting this review, I was contacted by Fox management. They were concerned about the problem I had and wanted to make it right. This ended up being without a doubt the best experience with a dealer I have ever had. There was none of the bad attitudes and lies I have grown accustom to from other dealers. Fox made the problem right completely to my satisfaction.(Original Review)Unsafe, hack service. When my wife bought her brand new Mazda 6, she asked for an aftermarket seat heater to be installed. After having problems with it yearly that required it to be fixed under warranty, and the tech saying every time that whoever did it before did it wrong but its fixed now. I dug into it.The tech who installed this stripped the insulation off the main, unfused (:edit: it is fused, at 50A) power wire going into the fuse box, twisted the power wire for the seats around it then didnt even do a proper job of wrapping it with electrical tape. This easily could have caused a fire.Never again will i give these people a single cent. They had 3 chances to fix this properly when the car was taken in after install and they didnt.

Took 3 weeks for the repair, while the original estimate was just over a week. After that they estimated it would be done 3 other times during the process. They missed every estimate. They also forgot to investigate an issue I asked about on 3 separate occasions. The customer service was terrible, but the car came out looking good.

Horrible service. We drove from Ann Arbor to buy a car and we got there with 50 minutes before they close. As soon as we stepped in it seemed like they wanted us to leave. Brian the guy helping us seemed like he would rather do anything else than sell us a car. He was very rude and essentially kicked us out. The whole place seemed disorganized. He was taking phone calls and doing office work while we were trying to get an understanding of the costs. I can see why this place is so low rated.

Pure bliss is the experience I had at Fox Mazda. I was in the market for over 6 months looking for a 2nd car and most of my research was done online as I was apprehensive going to any dealership to avoid the aggressive sales tactics & stress I experienced when I purchased my first car (It was not a Mazda). Post my research, I had shortlisted Mazda CX9 and Toyota Highlander as my final shortlist. I called Sam from Fox Mazda and discussed my needs with him and he highlighted the options he had and suggested I come in and test drive the car I wanted to buy. When I spoke to Sam, it felt like he was genuinely trying to work out the options for me rather than trying to just sell a car. We aligned on a date and time I could come and when I did go to the dealership, Sam had the car ready for me to test drive. I completed the drive and realized that the lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control were not working – I came back to the dealership and highlighted the issue. Sam left what he was doing and immediately came with me and tried to troubleshoot. We realized that there was a feature in the car that needed to be turned off to activate this technology. On my request, Sam decided to drive with me and test out the features to make sure everything worked as it should. This exemplifies going that extra mile for your customer - Thank you, Sam!We then discussed the pricing and at no point during our discussion, I felt pressured/stressed to buy the car right there. Sam diligently answered all the questions I had. During this discussion, I also met with Brian and he was equally great. We finally decided on a delivery date as I had to work out my finances and insurance and since I stay an hour away, Brian offered to cover my cost to get back to the dealership as well as keep the car and paperwork ready for me. A nice gesture indeed showcasing customer delight.If Fox has an appreciation award internally, I would highly recommend both Sam and Brian for upholding Fox Automotive’s values of Respect, Honesty, Excellence & Enthusiasm. They have changed my perception and in case I need another car in some years, I would not think twice and just call my buddies at Fox Mazda. My experience has been fantastic, and I would recommend Fox Mazda to anyone looking for a used/new car. Just tell them your needs and they will deliver excellent results.

Initially, I had it in my head that I was buying a Toyota. I was ready to buy but the exact make/model and upgrades I wanted were not being made yet and I was told it would be a couple of months before the factory had them. My husband told me we should look at Mazda for fun while we wait, so we dropped by Fox Mazda and started looking at the CX-5s. A very kind gentleman greeted us and answered our questions, but we didn’t feel like we were being pressured. Dave asked if we wanted a test drive which was smart because the car is a blast to drive and the heads up display was a delight (to me). He made it so easy and genuinely wanted to earn our business. He gave me his card and we left a bit torn because it was such a great experience.Fast forward a couple of weeks with no updates from Toyota and we decide to try a different dealership (on 28th street) to see if we’d get another answer. One sales guy in particular really wrecked it. The car we wanted was fully loaded and I was extremely specific about the upgrades I desired. They let us test drive that model and it was quite...basic after Mazda. In addition, the sales guy clearly wanted a more immediate sale and lead me to believe he had the perfect car. After triple checking the paperwork I realized the car he was pushing didn’t have any of the upgrades I specified and that I was getting the run around...when I came back and insisted on what I actually wanted the guy had an attitude like I was wasting his time or being difficult for not wanting to settle for whatever they gave me. Told me he needed a non refundable deposit to place the order for the car. His entitled attitude and pushy tactics were infuriating to be honest (I’ll kindly assume all of this had nothing to do with the fact that I am a younger woman who isn’t shy about saying exactly what she wants just as many men would). Just a feeling I had.Luckily, we had a fantastic first impression from Dave at Mazda and sought him out immediately. Night and day from Toyota! Dave was kind, patient, detail oriented and went out of his way to make it a great experience. This was my first brand new car ever and we were going all out with it. Dave made me feel like I was a very valued customer. Also, the 2019 CX-5 Signature is an awesome car. It is Mazda’s way of adding a luxury line - but at the SAME price as the Toyota we wanted. This car has real Napa leather, real wood, all the bells and whistles and a turbo engine for more pep. I will admit I enjoy the finer things life while also wanting to get a deal. I felt really great about the value for the money with this car.It’s been almost a year now - I freaking love this car!! So, if you’re on the fence I can highly recommend it! The main purpose of this review though is for the dealership. I was a bit concerned about service due to poor reviews. They are aware of this and making extra efforts to change that. So far I’ve only needed service once but I really had no issues whatsoever and communication was great. I also had one other issue that I handled with the sales manager (Dave isn’t there right now unfortunately). This was also a wonderful experience. I really feel like they cared and went out of their way to make me happy - 10 months after they got the sale already. That is why going to a good dealership is so important. I’ll admit I have very high expectations. I’m in sales myself and I am outspoken and want what I want. This place surprised me with how exceptional they’ve been. Go in and see for yourself!!

While I did not end up leasing the Mazda CX-5, I had to stop by and write a review about Nico Garcia and his 5 star service. Nico is the kindest, most understanding salesperson. The fact that he put up with my sister (who is a lawyer and loves to ask questions) and I only shows how patient he is. Nico made sure to contact me via txt and call. When I didnt answer a call, he followed up with a text which I appreciate because lets face it, no one talks on the phone anymore. I enjoyed hearing about his family and sharing pics of our kids. Nico was very knowledgeable about the Mazda CX-5, but was also straight forward with a recent re-call Mazda announced. Although we worked together for about 4 days, unfortunately we were unable to close the deal. Thats OK, I still wanted to share how helpful Nico was. I also wanted to add that his manager, Lee was really cool too ! We chatted about FL (where Im from) and the differences in how dealership operate from state to state. Lee worked with us to drive down the price. They were never pushy, never aggressive, and never took my lack of leasing knowledge for granted. During the process I shopped around and went to Borgmans Mazda, big mistake. They were so disinterested, it almost made me give up on the Mazda all together, but Nico kept hope that I would get this Mazda ! Nico was the reason why I kept coming back! Like I mentioned, I opted for something a little different, but I had such a great experience that I had to stop and write a review for Nico. When Im ready to get into the Mazda, Ill definitely come back to see Nico because hes amazing !

Dealer wont allow recall work to be scheduled online and will not answer the phone and will not return messages. Calling corporate or trying another dealer are my plan B and C to fix a safety recall with the parking brake.

This is a late post but on Feb 18th, I had an hair appt and when I arrived I didnt know that I left the interior light on in my car. So after my appt I thought of was of to the the next destination, but I was wrong. MY Car battery was DEAD ! I was too cold and Aint nobody got time for that lol. As I was outside fiddling with the ignition I see a car dealership directly across the street. I thought, Well It wouldnt hurt to ask if I could get a jump. Granted, I do have roadside assistance, but I am from Muskegon and I just thought that it would take some time having some come a rescue me. Anywho, I called Fox Mazada and spoke to a nice lady who was willing to assist. I asked if they would have someone available who could give me a jump? And that I was directly across the street from their business. She stated that she was not sure, but took my name and information and would call me back asap. She called me back told me me she would send someone over! I was so happy and relieved. The gentleman that came was very nice and bolted my car up in no time. I tried to tip him for his appreciation and he declined. This to me showed that they go going outside of their customer service to make people happy. I live in Muskegon but when I decide to by my next car I will drive the extra mile to see what they have to offer. Thank you so much Fox Mazda. You are the BEST!!

This company could care less about the Costimer.The group of people working here from the sales person Brian B To the finance Manager , to the general Manager were alll very dishonest. My husband and I came in with a pre approval and only wanted to use 1 lender. We made it more than clear we did not want any other lenders used. This should have been a simple easy transaction. I had already spoken with the lender. I was approved. I was given the amount of the car payment. The confirmation that they had all paperwork needed and I was all set to go before I even set foot in Fox Motor.Day of sale this team is saying they still want more info. We know this is not correct. We call our lender who tells us that Fox Motor is most likely going behind our backs and trying to find us financing that Benefits them. When I asked Brian B. And the finance Manager we were assured no way and they only worked with the 1 lender. Well upon looking at the credit report. They ran 5 hard inquiries without our approval or consent. Which in turn affected our credit scores. We contacted the General Manager who was basically cold and rude and could care less.We are looking further into this matter and believe this to be common practice for this company. So buyer beware. Very dishonest company that only cares about a sale. NOT the customer

Awful! Service department would not return my calls for a week and a half while my car was not driveable. I finally talked to the service manager who was clueless and wanted me to pay to have them look at an issue they’d already “fixed” twice for a Mazda parking brake recall. Do not recommend to anyone!!! Borgman Mazda is just up the street in Grandville, go the extra few miles for a completely better experience!!

My wife recently brought our Mazda 3 in for an oil change, where the service technician showed her a dirty air filter and recommended that she let them replace it for her. She opted not to pay for the service, after taking a photo of the air filter he was showing her.5 months later, I decide to check the filter myself. Turns out, the filthy air filter that he was using to try to sell my wife a new one wasnt from our car -- unless over the last few months it cleaned itself and changed its own dimensions... which I doubt. Im attaching photos to show the filter he showed her, vs the actual filter from the car.Im super disappointed, and wont be returning. Im happy to forgive mistakes or even occasional bad service, but I wont be taking my car back to a place that looks to take advantage of its customers.

Edit: After posting this review, a manager called a few times, I picked up, and we discussed the initial bad experience I had with them. I am happy to say that after our discussion, I am satisfied with the efforts of said manager to make things right, and the concern they expressed about the issues we had. Am bumping up review.Original:AWFUL service.I am 100% sure that I and members of my family will never buy a Mazda in the future. This experience was enough for me to reconsider Mazda forever. Maybe Grandville Mazda couldve done a better job.I brought my Mazda in for a recall yesterday morning as well as to fix up an issue with the brakes. Before that, scheduling was awful. I had to call multiple times with no answer, and eventually got sick of calling enough to leave a message whereupon they got back to me. So I scheduled my appointment, brought it in yesterday for a fix. The service advisor I was assigned, Kevin Oxton, was awful to work with. Responded extremely slowly in sporadic bouts to texts, picked up one of multiple calls. I think its hilarious that one of the first things he did when I was there was give me his business card with all his contact info. Whats the point of giving someone your contact info if you have little intention of following up with them? I scheduled the fixes, and scheduled a shuttle to pick me up the next day because I need to get there somehow, which I cant do without my car. So anyways, I left my car with them, took their shuttle home, overall pretty uneventful. Fast forward to today, I had scheduled their shuttle to pick me up at 1 pm, Kevin said we were all good. I had hired a temporary worker whose a friend of mine for the day to fill my post. 1 pm passes, and I call them, Kevin and this Mazda dealership, multiple times .... no answer. I decide to try my luck later, since this dealership apparently is not very concerned about their business reputation. Its 3:19 pm right now, and I just talked with someone at the dealership who picked up the phone after multiple calls.I asked, wheres the shuttle? Why isnt it here yet? Ive waited 2 hours.I was answered with an oh-so-friendly and thorough answer of I dont know. The person tried to transfer the call to Kevin, who surprise, surprise, did not answer, and the person ended up just taking the call. I had to reschedule when to pick up my car, which is a big pain, because now I have to spend more money for lost work opportunity for me, and payment to my friend. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!aside: They have an inconvenient shuttle service. I had issues with my Camry before and when I brought it into the Toyota shop, they just let me use another vehicle they had on hand for the duration of it being in the shop being fixed. This shuttle means that if you need a large scale fix that takes awhile for your car, you better hope that you dont need to go ANYWHERE.

Went here for an oil change. The service in the service department was absolutely terrible. Sat and waited for 10-15 min before anybody even said anything after parking in the garage. Service manager had a terrible attitude and wasn’t helpful at all.
