I recently worked with Parker Bachelder, he helped me to remove the trigger assembly from the but stock on an old double barrel 16 gauge Ithaca. He provided an old stock butt plate and the fee was nominal. Every time I work with Parker I learn something and am taken care of immediately. Parker is very knowledgeable and is eager to share his craft while providing A-1 service. I highly recommend Bachelders.

I was running late coming from an hour and a half away and so was the person I was meeting with to do an arms transfer. The gentleman who stayed after just to allow me to purchase a pistol from someone else (they only profited a service fee) was extremely helpful and nice he ended up staying an extra 30 or 40 minutes (at least) after closing and was still the nicest kid ever and also knew his stuff when it came to weapons! I live pretty far away from them but from what I saw in their inventory and how they treated me I would definitely come here again!

I purchased my first firearm and as part of the right of ownership was learning to clean and maintain it. I was having trouble with taking it apart. Parker took a look at it, helped me to get a pin loose and explained the mechanisms to me so I could maintain it properly. They also told me about the proper tools for the work and told me where to find them. Very friendly and very helpful.

This afternoon, 1/2/2020, I called Bachelder, looking to speak to a Gunsmith, in regards to my pistol being jammed. I spoke with a gentleman named Jake, and asked if I could bring it in, for them to take a look at..Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a friendly young man, asking if I was the one with the jammed pistol?... I said yes, and asked if his name was Jake. No, he replied, I heard about your issue, and that you would be coming in..After dealing with this issue myself, the past 2 weeks, and being frustrated beyond measure, this young man cleared my gun, came back out of the back room, and took a few moments to show me how to do it in the future myself, if I should so desire..Thank you, Bachelder..I shall be back.. your display of guns, is something to marvel at, and I wish I had more time to shop.

Repaired and fitted my guns in their professional manner and explained proper use and cleaning to maintain my guns for many years to come and beyond.

I had a bore snake that got stuck in a rifle. I brought it in and within minutes Parker was able to get it out and not damage the rifle at all. Not only was Parker able to fix the issue right away, he didn’t charge me for the service. I will definitely be back in the future.

Love the fact that these guys are a family. My father bought many firearms from them back in the day. I even go to them for ffl transfers. I was referred to them by my father and a friend. I dealt with Parker. Hes a very intelligent guy. Definitely a go to for quality, vintage, and special purchases.

Top notch place! Although I have not used Bachelder for their repair services, I have used them to transfer several parts. Their customer service is fantastic. I was on my way there yesterday with 3 minutes before they closed. I called in to verify their hours and she confirmed it was 5pm. The woman who helped me asked immediately if I would like her to stay since I was close. These little things speak volumes to me and are qualities that I choose to keep in my own business. Was having accuracy problems with my Remington 700. I brought it into them for help figuring it out. They informed me I had a lot of copper fouling. They took the gun in, de fouled the barrel and I had my gun back well before the promised date and in great condition. The de fouling helped immensely and I think the cost was more than fair. They were very knowledgeable, polite, friendly, and were more than willing to take the time to explain things and help you out. I have been in there twice now and it was the same both times. I am definitely going to us them again if I ever need to. Thanks guys!

Jake has been very friendly and understanding. They worked great, getting my gun done before waterfowl season with only a few weeks notice. They got my Benelli back to shape after I left the choke in for the last year or so and it rusted on.

Used in past was satisfied. This time very dissapointed.Update: issues resolved. Now I am very satisfied again. This gunsmith will explain and take the time and knows firearms.

Brought in a Browning A5 for these guys to look at. Parker examined it and tested it for me and was very helpful. They are very polite as well.

This place is great! Have used them to fix a rifle and 3 shotguns. Each time I was impressed with their knowledge and final work product. Prices are more than fair and they do not over commit. It may take a few months to get the work done, but it gets done correctly.

This is a true gunsmith, so their specialty is repair and restoration of fine firearms. They can order new guns, and sell vintage guns. Staff is friendly and as this is a family business, Mr. Bachelder is the chief gunsmith, while Lori and Parker work the front desk. By far the best gunsmith in the region.

Great shop to do business with; knowledgeable personal. They installed a Timney custom trigger in a Model 12 Savage in a 6.5 Creedmore. The trigger was set exactly to the correct poundage. I fired a 0.250 group at 101.3 yds. per my Leupold range finder. Great job on the trigger. Keep up the good work. I will be taking more firearms there in the future. Good luck in the field.

They used to be the best. Gun went in in march promised it back in 2 to 3 months, when they finally called i went to pick it up and it looked terrible. They told me they would make it right, finally after 7 months and 7 phone calls they finished. They charged me more than they said they would, and gun is not at all in the condition i hoped for.

Very rude and zero customer service! It amazes me they can treat a customer in the fashion they do LET ALONE STILL BE IN BUSINESS. Have had 2 experiences with these guys... 1) they sold me a used Nikon scope which had a broken adjustment. 2) they sold my wife a gun which was OVER market value and it malfunctioned after second round through it. They had the audacity to get upset with me after I expressed my concerns over experience #2. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!

Bachelders did a great job installing my new Timney trigger on my custom Masuer 98 build. The work was completed on time, on budget and done well. This was a small job but I wouldnt hesitate to go back with larger projects or to recommend them to others.

My boyfriend brought them a 20 gauge shotgun that needed drilled and tapped for a scope. simple enough paid $150 for that service they provided the rings and mounted it. I was happy until I went to site it in. I put 3 boxes of slugs thru it and got it close. Next time out 4 more boxes the scope came off and hit Me in the head. OWW only 2 or 3 threads were holding the mounting rail on. I am not a Master Gun man but even I know enough to use longer screws than that. Took it to Gander Mountain they fixed it for free while I waited. thumbs up to gander Mountain Big thumbs down for Bachelder.

Needed a part really bad for my .243, call Darren or Friday just before five knowing that they were closing at five, talked to Parker mind you one heckuva nice guy, he came in and met me on Saturday, he treated me and my son like we are family I will always give him my business from here on out it’s people like that that makes the world revolve.
